The store is clean, and I did not have interaction with staff while shopping. Prices are high, in my opinion. Produce is nice but lacking in selection. No yellow potatoes, which I could understand. It is a smaller store. Fresh herbs in produce were half empty, and I was unable to purchase chives. Nice wine and beer selections. The meat department looked nice but I did not puchase any. I was looking for corned beef, but that was also not to be found in either deli or meat. For my family of 4 this is a quick stop, not a full shop.

I love Food City. I found the powdered form of iron out for my home. Easy check out and the staff is very helpful available, and seem to like their jobs. Thanks for the help and decent pricing.

I have went to Food City both Friday & Saturday to get the 5off meats and vegetables. Both days had barely anything. Vegetables were mostly cucumbers and squash and meats had no hamburger or chicken in the 5 off bins. This is unusual. Very disappointing. I like to stock up plus I do buy other things at full price. Just disappointing.

Good place for groceries. Three of us had the Philly cheese steak sandwich from the hot bar which tasted like it had been sitting around for a while (was before 7pm on a weeknight) - we all got sick.

Newer location at the South end of Wytheville. Nowadays, a shopper needs good sales, discounts, etc... Mostly stop in for the sushi, pretty good. Produce is expensive, but mostly typical. I sure wish there was another grocery competitor locally. An Ingles or Kroger would be fab!

Great little market. It's a little pricy, but that isn't unexpected these days. Friendly, helpful staff. SUPER clean. Things were easy to find, and we didn't have to wait forever to be checked out. An altogether pleasant shopping trip.

Absolutely beautiful, new & clean grocery store. Some prices are a bit higher, but the atmosphere and selection is amazing! Will continue to support this business. Glad to have it and the gas station on that side of town, much needed.

The store looks amazing, the staff is very nice, and probably has the best beer selection in town. I can only give it three stars (and that is me being kind) due to the fact that most everything is WAY overpriced (except the beer, yet one can not live off beer alone). I can go to foodlion and get most everything I need for about $1.00 - $1.50 less. And that might not sound like much but it really adds up.***update*** 4/6/24: All the above is true yet the produce is really nice so another star.

Love the price if you get it during a week day. They have a nice collection main entres of fish, chicken, meatloaf. I really like the tenders and shish kabobs. Nice side dishes.

Great fresh prepared food. Great burgers and onion rings and much more. Grocery shopping very pleasant. Self checkouts are good. Nicely stocked shelves. Decent deals and of course, use your Valucard and for gas too.

I absolutely love this new store. Lots of variety to choose from. Fresh produce and seafood. Their signature crab cakes are DELICIOUS 😋 Gas and groceries all in one place and on the 21-South side of town hallelujah 🙌 love the friendly service and familiar faces of hometown folks. Some of their prices are higher than other stores, but with the variety, specials, coupons, and their club card you can still shop here on a budget. Went in today. 2-8-22. There are some empty shelves. The staff are still friendly. The prices are a little higher. Still like the variety they have though.3-25-23. Store still has a good variety of things. Seafood department is still nice. Store is clean and employees are friendly and helpful. Prices serm a little higher, but that's the norm now. Sales are great.

The pharmacy is my favorite thing about this place. Prices are high. Had two experiences with deli items. One time was a piece of plastic wrap-paper in the macaroni salad. Second time was eating on a plate with macaroni salad and potato salad and coming across something that resembled a finger nail clipping. So we'll never get anything from the deli again but will continue to use the pharmacy.

I love food city and gave it a one star because of the meat dept. They never have the gourmet burgers made up and when ask to make some they act like they can’t move especially the guy named Andrew This has happened multiple timesAnd recently when ask for a donation for our grandsons benefit dinner the manager was very rude and gave a case of water. We def. Won’t be spending our money at this food city ever again

Ordered a cake from the bakery. It was a unicorn themed and it was amazing. It was half vanilla and half chocolate with buttercream icing. It was absolutely yummy. Although I wish they would have informed me of the price cause $44 for a cake is a bit much. Course everything is high now. But would definitely buy a cake from there again.

Friendly staff and clean store/lot. We stop in all the time for anything from a slice of pizza, organics, mix n match 6 packs, and fresh veggies. I would've given a 4.5 but I rounded up only because there really are not many options in the way of vegetarian/vegan options other than what you can create from the produce section.

I don't live in the area but was up visiting family. We needed a few things from the store and though I'd try the new Food City. I was very impressed when walking in. Not only was I greeted, the store layout was very well placed and very clean. The options for food are endless as they have the Hot Bar, Salad/Soup Bar, Sushi Bar, Pizza Bar and of course the cake corner. My cashier Megan S, was very friendly, knowledgeable and helped me get signed up for the rewards program. I look forward to shopping here when I'm in town.

Changed rating from 5-stars to 1-star because the past 3 visits we've used our value card and items still rang up at the regular price. When we brought it to the attention of the clerk, they sent someone to check the price (yes, verify it) but made it sound like we were lying. That plus the gas points disappear before we can use them.

When we shop at Food City it reminds us of Publix stores in Florida that's clean and well organized. We just enjoy shopping with amazing variety as well as quality products. We occasionally grab a bite to eat. Selection of food is excellent and reasonably priced. We couldn't wait for Food City to open in Whytheville.
