I have a Pomeranian sweetest little dog that would lick you to death and has never bitten anyone and the cashier tells me oh my god get your dog closer to you I have a phobia of dogs because I was attacked and I said big dogs and she said yes I said he’s just a little dog he didn’t touch her or show any teeth and now she says if he’s not a service dog he can’t come in. This is a truck stop and he’s a truck dog so I’m not leaving him in the truck maybe she shouldn’t work at a truck shop because I’m sure she sees lots of dogs in here. I will not be back here. I have never had anything but what a sweetie he is at all the other truck stops. Pilots and flying j

Located conveniently near the interstate, this medium-sized station caters to both autos and semi trucks. Its main highlight? One of the diesel pumps was out of service and cordoned off. It took awhile (18 minutes being the only truck in queue at around 8am) to be able to get to a fuel pump because almost every truck there was either taking a break parked at the pump or not on their truck and inside the store. Another time consuming issue with at least 7-8 people waiting in line inside to pay with 2 registers open. 5 minutes later only 2-3 guests had paid so I left the queue empty handed. Just fueling and restroom took 42 minutes with the previous truck delay included, and it took another 8 minutes waiting for the driver of the truck blocking our way in front of us to come out of the store after he finished shopping to be able to leave. 50+minutes waiting total!The store seemed clean and well stocked, the bathrooms were not as busy but werent cleaned recently. There is a barber shop inside the store, and a Dennys restaurant from the amenities offered.If youre in a hurry, dont plan of getting out quickly. Not sure if the problem is the queue inside causing the delay outside, as limited the space is to stage until a pump opens up, its difficult to get a smooth in and out in an efficient way and may cause discord with other newcoming drivers for the next pump that becomes open due to the very narrow entrance/exit. It may need to be upgraded to create a better flow for traffic to be able to stage/fuel better. The space to pull up after you fuel is also very narrow, this may be the reason why drivers wont pull forward and go inside the store with the truck parked at the pump, to avoid collisions. (In the pictures only 2 trucks pulled forward after fueling) But thats my 2 cents. It may be better to visit when not busy perhaps. Time spent was an issue and easiness to get in and out another one. 3 🌟

I wouldn't come here for a shower unless you're built like a 12 year old girl. If the bench was just a bit smaller I could have checked my prostate. Other than that they are good to go.

SERVICE IS OK. NOTHING SPECTACULAR. BUT GOOD LUCK USING THE WIFI(ABSOLUTELY NO WIFI SERVICE, BUT SURPRISINGLY THE SIGNAL IS STRONG). I HAVE A GOOD PHONE AND COULD BARELY GET SERVICE, HOWEVER THE STAFF HAVE THEIR OWN WIFI, AND THE SIGNAL IS EXTREMELY STRONG.

Everytime u come here after 8 the showers are down because of hot water but the hot water works in the restroom I just think they don’t want to work if that’s the case we eating off dirty dishes if there isn’t any hot water don’t think u gone get some wings or pizza they shut it down after 8 I’m going to stop spending my money here on fuel and food I’ll go across the street

If you want a shower with alot of pressure and hot water this is the place. Might be smaller and older than most places but it was clean. And the dennys was good food also. The employees throughout was very friendly thank you for that. Always nice to just someone smile at you.

Great place to take a break or 34hr reset. Clean bathrooms plus plenty of room to stretch your legs. Denny's is a great place to eat. An relax. Clean showers fresh food. They also have an barber shop in side. I had gotten my beard trimmed up. An the lady Amanda did an awesome job. Hopefully this was helpful safe travels Driver's. We use the app to find locations that have propane for our motorhome. Three times now we have called ahead of time, and asked the night that we arrived if we could make sure we could get propane in the morning and they said yes. Then they call over the radio in the morning and say who do we have that can do propane We don't hear what the response is but then immediately she says it's broke. This is ridiculous. We went 20 miles out of our way to make sure we could get propane, we do everything we're supposed to do on our side, and if there's somebody cleaning the bathrooms then they say they don't have somebody to do the propane. I totally get understaffed, but when we call ahead and we ask then I'd before to make sure just please be truthful. And don't lie and say it's broke when it's not. Three times now all at Flying J's, twice we've went to Love's and they've pumped it both times.And I get this is not a travel centers biggest money maker but that's not really the point. If you have anapp that has filters just for RV and motorhome conveniences then do what you say you're going to do.This happened on November 11th, 2023 around 8:30 a.m. at this location.

The Flying J was okay when I went to take a shower the water pressure in the shower is kind of weak maybe they need a bigger water tank or water heater or something and once you go in the shower and had a smell in there like magic shave so I know the guy that cleans that you got to be quick to get guys in there but you need to spray something in there to make sure there's no smell in there for the next guy that comes out to the next guy so these are very important things to a driver cuz he does not want to walk in a shower that he feels that might be unclean even though he might take a shower in it and stuff is already enough stress being on the road to so when you invite us to come and take a shower we want to go and take a shower and enjoy your hot full power water to the Lexie's muscles been on the road for about 12:24 or 16 hours out of the week so if they get that right out here in wytheville Virginia they'll be okay

Great truck stop with a Denny's attached. Their are various coin machines to keep kids busy, or adults. Contains all the things you'd expect from a nice sized stop and convenient store. Bathrooms are public. Gas station. Clean and nice customer service.

Across all of the Flying J’s I’ve come across this is by far one of my favorites. Bathrooms are always in tip-top shape, the food is actually good here, and the staff is super helpful and friendly, especially Marybeth. She goes the extra mile and you can tell she cares about her store and her customers. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

The WORST place for truckers. Dennys is 24/7. Perfect. Until we arrived and the girl who was working rolled her eyes and just put menus on the table and pointed to the table for us to seat ourselves. No big deal. But then sat there for at least 8-10 min while the same girl ignored us. Mind you we were the only people there besides one other table which was clearly people she knew. Who also walked up to the counter and ordered 4-5 drinks, Including milkshakes. So instead of getting the drinks after she took our orders as new customers, she decided to start making milkshakes which are time consuming to begin with. And continued to ignore us. As we stared at her, the cook noticed us and said did you even take their order yet ? She got an attitude and said nope ! Obviously we were there bothering her so we had no choice but to leave. Then the next morning, we booked a shower with 2 people ahead of us. After 25-30 min I said something isn’t right no showers were opening up with 13 showers there. So I walked around to check the area and there was multiple showers with doors open, lights on and towels on the floor. So I went to ask the cashier how long it would be, and she ignored me while on her phone. Then finally told me that showers were closed at the moment. Not one sign, announcement, nothing they just continued let people book showers and pay for them and never said a word. Then after I flipped out hearing this, she announced that they were closed till 11 am. All because no one was cleaning them but instead doing things only up front. THE WORST EMPLOYEES EVER. They are Incompetent, arrogant, useless, toothless, rude, lazy, and shouldn’t have jobs in customer service at all. Will NEVER stop here again and will be sure to let everyone know it is the worst truck stop in the country.
