If you're having boat problems, I feel bad for you son! This boat shop's the greatest, definitely number 1!This place has all you could need for getting out on the water. If you are a new boater, or experienced, this is the spot for all your boating needs.The staff here are very friendly and knowledgeable about all things marine life. If you are new, they will set you up with everything you could possibly need, to get out on the water. Experienced boater with an advanced problem? They may be able to help out, the guys here know their stuff, and it's worth coming here to hopefully get what you need.

Didn't have what I needed in stock, so I'd have to doer it online and wait (probably get it cheaper on another site) then their system wouldn't allow me to use my rewards certificate which was varied valid. What's the point having rewards emailed to u if the store's system can't use them ?

You pay more than if you order the same items online. Some items are close to online prices and some are much more. But most online retailers don't have lights and payroll to meet either. Every time I go to the store everyone is incredibly helpfull and friendly. The store is clean and very organized. They offer discounts to US Boat members. If your new to boating and need a little hand holding this is the place for you to go.

Ive been here several times and i can say first hand the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The store may be a bit on the small side (compaired to other shops I've been to) but it is well organized and packed with up to date merchandise. If they don't have it in stock, they can get it for you from a huge selection of pretty much anything you can think of. They also do engine repairs, and they are very proficient. I'll certainly keep going back for most if not all of my marine needs.

Staff is very helpful. If they don't have what you want, they will check sully in other stores. In this case we didn't want to go either to Anchorage, or Michigan for an outboard motor, but thanks for checking!

Small store has limited stock. Management and staff often unhelpful. Princeton I don't call to tell you that your order is in. Supplier charges high prices. One of the male employees stares at women's breasts, which, of course is hostile. The branch in Alexandria is much better.

I just called asking for information regarding a product they CARRY in the store. I got a rude person responding with a rude "I don't know" answer followed by a sigh like I'm such bother even though this conversation lasted no longer than 30 seconds. Well, you've lost a customer and I'll definitely spread the words to all my fishing forums. Unreal!!!

This place has turned into a clothing retail store they don't have a large variety of actual boat stuff that you need. They are way overpriced make sure if you're going to buy little odds and ends that you go somewhere else are you going to be paying double even sometimes triple the price.

West Marine has always been kinda expensive and the stocking is kind of spartan...that's WM for you.What completely fails me are the hours: 6pm all days except Sunday which is 5! I'm sorry but, anyone that can afford a boat (or WM for that matter) has a job...this bankers hours thing is beyond ridiculous!If I wanted something NOW to fix my boat it's going to be before I get in the water and not 9am...and after I get out (I'll duct tape it to get back in...oh and there is little in WM for emergent repairs).So, this is a brick and mortar store that has failed to realize that they are a convenience store that should have 7-11 hours on the weekend (especially Fathers day weekend)....what's the point of convenience?I dunno...1/3 the price and youll get it day after tomorrow from amazon? Nooo brainer unless you need the name brand. Prediction: 5 years and WM will be a historic landmark; "look kids, I used to give money to that place."(oh and I found a 37ft piece of rope remnant for $209.00.......pleasse tell me this was a serious typo because I give it 2 years for my prediction if not!)
