The best place to shop! Based on the donations that we have collected, we had to buy bunch of items for a non-profit in overseas. As we couldn’t afford to make purchases via retail stores (due to high prices), we decided to go Columbia outlet store in Potomac Mills. We found what we needed and most importantly, we got to experience the best customer service yet!! The store manager Tionne Smith and others like Cathleen were super helpful, caring, and understand the needs of its customers. They were super polite and respectful towards their customers, which made me believe that the manager Tionne and her team are a true example of how employees could represent its brands! Definitely my go-to store after today and thank you all for your service from bottom of my heart ❤️

First Columbia products are awesome. Second the manager of this location is absolutely amazing. Never seen an retail employee care so much. Third the prices here are insanely cheap. Got pair 100 dollar boots for 10 bucks. I go once a month and always find new deals

I placed an order on February 13th. The order included clothes I desperately needed for outdoor work. I checked on the tracking a few weeks later because I had not received the package yet. The package had supposedly been delivered but I never saw it. I contacted Columbia and they opened an investigation with UPS. A few weeks later I checked back in only to find out the investigation had been closed. Why? Because they supposedly could not get a hold of me. I had no missed call, no voicemail, and no email stating that someone had tried to contact me. I was forced to reopen the investigation and continue to wait. In the meantime, I started my new job outdoors and still had no good work clothes and I was out $125. I waited another couple of weeks until UPS concluded the package had been delivered. I called Columbia again and said I never got it. I asked to speak with a manager since the customer service rep was not very pleasant or helpful. The manager was helpful and said she would keep an eye on my case. Then I was told to call UPS and open a claim. I waited another couple of weeks and decided to call UPS and push for answers. They told me they had concluded the claim and sent it off to Columbia 3 days ago. I called Columbia and asked to speak to the manager. The customer service rep again was rude and put me on hold for 5 minutes. The rep came back on claiming that they had "just taken a look at the case earlier in the day" (more like 5 minutes ago) and would be happy to issue me a refund. Never got to talk to the manager like I had asked. Wow finally!! 10 weeks later and I was finally reimbursed. Honestly it feels like a miracle. I thought there was a big possibility I might not get compensated at all. Columbia's business should be better at handling these issues. Every person that has a package go missing or stolen has to wait months to get reimbursed? That is ridiculous. I will not entrust Columbia with my money again. I will be taking my business elsewhere to a company I can rely on to handle things the right way from the start.

Prices are great when there's a sale, which is most of the time. The staff was very friendly and helpful without being pushy. The inventory changes substantially with the seasons, and with the exception of jackets, often doesn't match what's being sold in other stores.As for the brand itself, their clothes are well made and they do what they say. 2 years ago I replaced a 20 year old Columbia ski jacket that had only lost a snap and sustained a small year over all the years of use. Their basic fleece is nothing special and overpriced unless its on sale, but their omni-heat stuff really works and I have several items with it, including my extreme cold hunting clothing. Nothing else is as effective.

I will NEVER buy, recommend or even consider Columbia. They have the absolute worst customer service. I drove 40minutes to go to the store to return a coat that was too small for my girl and was told I needed to pay for shipping! In what world do I have to pay to return your own, brand new, never worn, merchandise? This has been the worst experience I have ever had at any store. Columbia, you need to join this century and update your outdated process.

Visited the store because the seam on the jacket is coming apart. They tell me I have to return it to the warranty department and it may take up to a month to get the item back. Totally unacceptable when the store can send the item and provide a replacement at the store. Their jackets are their brand, they should be able to take the item at any store.

We entered the store and a woman greeted us by saying “hello”. We responded hello and continued walking through the store. She apparently didn’t hear us and proceeded to berate us and yell “Hello??? HELLO?? HELLOOO?!?” Getting louder and louder with more and more attitude. It was very rude and a horrible first impression. Will no longer shop at Columbia.

Consumer Beware. If you order something online and wish to return the item you must pay Columbia $6 for each item or return the items to one of their retail outlets. No wonder Amazon is the superior experience given this policy.

A lot of good sales and a good selection of items! Service can be a little poor at times, and they don't always have full selection of sizes available, I suppose some sell out faster and the type of store it is means they don't restock as fast.

I wasn’t given a chance to take advantage of a promotion that the store had because I was told after the transaction was complete and was not very happy. Also, I asked about store discounts that were posted before I made purchase and information changed after I took items to register. Still, I moved forward.
