The Food City here is a lot bigger than one I used to going to. This place definitely deserves 5 stars. And the employees here are really nice & helpful. The other day I needed help finding some Bubble Tea & I got the help I needed to find it. I will always come here whenever I’m here visiting in the area.

Wise va food city apparently is completely all self checkout now!!!! They sure do have a lot of young security guards standing around watching you checkout though. Just a heads up for anyone who has extreme anxiety like I do. It was Definitely not a pleasant experience!!! 😔

They're getting ready to open a new Food City in our town. The problem is,it doesn't open for another 22 days,"Feb 28, 2024," but they're not restocking a lot of the items in our old store. Only grocery store in our small town,they should do better!

Absolutely beautiful store inside and out. The displays are clear, and the store is more organized than others. The folks are super nice who work there, and they are more than willing to help.

Total disappointment when we cut our son's birthday cake to find a chocolate cake after requesting white cake. Seems par for the course lately though, meaningless job positions held by uneducated employees that can't seem to complete simple tasks correctly other than demand higher minimum wage.Update "MAIN" lobsters.

Great products, large selection, and moderate prices. The bakery is great but they won't let you buy icing from the bakery which is depressing because it's great with chips.

Amazing selection of items! However the produce looked kinda iffy. I stopped here on a road trip and as a vegetarian, the prepackaged salads were browned and made me have a sad.

This Food City is pretty decent. We go here due to a much broader selection of everything really compared to the one in Coeburn. I’d recommend this store anytime.

Didn't have all the grocery items I wanted and only self checkout open while 5 or 6 employees stood around talking. At least give a discount for self-checking or have a cashier lane open.

It was relatively easy to find the items I was looking for. The pharmacy was a little slow. However the self check out was well organized and straight forward.

The Big Stone Gap Food City carries very little of what my family and I need, looks dirty and the employees are not very friendly. The Wise Food City carries pretty much everything I need and more, employees are also friendlier. I don't know of it's a typical Big Stone Gap thing or what but Wise is better in so many ways.

Convenience and not the freshness and quality of their products is what this place is all about to me.. I'm not happy with the "fresh" produce here. I do have confidence in the pharmacy. Nice, knowledgeable people in there. The folks at checkout are always friendly and pleasant too.

Staff is helpful, courteous and they keep their store clean and organized. The base pricing is a tad high but sale pricing is good. They carry quite a few items that are harder to find in SW Virginia. This Food City also has a beautiful produce section!

Love my local food city. The workers are always very friendly, and the deli food is always delicious, and the produce is really great as well. They always have great prices too. I would give the store 1000 star rating, or more if it would let me. Keep up the great work!

*edit* ORDER. THE. PHILLY! ! !And y’all’s employees are kinda grouchy sometimes fr so TREAT THEM BETTER! 🏻WHY IS THE CHICKEN SALAD DIFFERENT?!👍🏻.. as usual. Go here all the time for lunch! Love the salad bar, chicken salad pitas, Asian hot bar, STARBUCKS, oh and they actually have pretty good breakfast. FYI, they will fry your eggs, just ask.

Food City is a great place to shop for meats and vegetables/fruits. They have a good selection of a variety of products in other areas as well, but their prices for many items are a bit high for such a large company. Overall, Food City offers a good shopping experience and I really like the additions at the Wise store of Starbucks and the dine-in options.

First review - just wanted to extend congratulations to Food City in Wise for providing me a great place to shop close to home and school. The store is always clean and well stocked. The cashiers are efficient and courteous. Most of the managers are really helpful. The front manager Kevin is the best to deal with if you have any issues - always friendly, patient, and goes above and beyond to make sure your needs are met and questions are answered.Always a pleasure doing business! Will be a long time shopper.

Just watched a bakery/hot bar employee in her uniform walk out of a bathroom stall and go back to work preparing food without washing or even sanitizing her hands. She didn’t even care that we saw her not wash her hands. Disgusting.

Lines seem to be long every time I go inside but I love the store and it’s customer service. Just wished that the selfCheckout was a bit bigger, so I could comfortably check out and not have the attendant glaring at me with a buggy full and little room to work with.
