Update-9/29/2023Our first dog is a year and doing great with 0 health problems and he is THE BEST! We added another addition yesterday, a cavalier King Charles spaniel. He is the best, and we had another wonderful experience with puppy city! Staff is always great, the place is clean, the puppies are happy and appear healthy 🐶We had THE BEST EXPERIENCE!!! They were all very kind and helpful all of the puppies looked very happy, healthy and clean! The process was smooth and the financing was a huge benefit! We are so thankful to add little Charlie to our family! Thank you Puppy city!! He even came with a crate, dog bowls, food, treats, and drops he was also already chipped!

I purchased my first puppy ever from this place on Dec 3, 2022. I was a little frustrated with the process this company had in place when your puppy might have any issues. However, even though my puppy had Giardia, this company reimbursed me for all medical tests and medication needed to aid in my puppy’s health. Tom, the owner, was very nice once I got a chance to speak with him directly. — I have since referred two people who wants puppies to purchase from this place.

Got a ShiPoo at Puppy City about 3 years ago. He has been a healthy, happy dog that we absolutely love. You can tell their dogs have been well cared for and socialized when you walk through. They looks so playful and eager to be picked up by a human.

I always said to myself I would not get a puppy from a store andI haven't purchased a puppy yet and love all the puppies I see but have a connection to one I love so much! When I go into Puppy City everyone is so nice and very compassionate to the puppies! They do care about the puppies! I was impressed ! Thank you to the staff for taking good care of the puppies!

I don’t understand why this place is still in business!!! They breed sick dogs with other sick dogs and the dog I got there a few years ago is suffering because of them. She became blind after 2 years of having her and her health has been getting worse and worse since. SMH

I am appalled that a puppy was sold to my elderly father, Phil Lowery, who doesn't have the ability to care it. This may actually be the final straw to contact adult protective services about him. This poor puppy will never see the outside because I know he expects it to use piddle pads only. He can barely walk and has no fenced yard. This business must have zero ethics, much less any concern for the welfare of their animals. Only concerned about money. I hope you have a good return policy.Update: this puppy has already been rehomed. Maybe you should vet buyers better… but that would mean you care about more than just profits.

Staff wasn't great. Not real friendly. Took my (very gentle animal lover) 5yr old in. He wants a dog and wanted to "try" different kinds. Staff said we could only try one dog even though signs posted said we could try 3 dogs. Acted like she didn't want to let us try a dog if we weren't ready to buy it that day. I did talk her into letting us try 2 dogs. Neither dog was friendly and both seemed nervous around people even though we were very chill, sat on the floor and waited for the dogs to sniff our hands/make the first move.

I purchased a Great Dane here during Covid. I didn't come in there to buy a Great Dane but rather something smaller. They walked me through details about the breed and if I can handle the size of the dog it was more of what I needed. They didn't sell me the most expensive dog, they sold me the one that my needs. Words can not begin to express how thankful I am to the employees here for their recommendations and introducing me to a dog that has changed my life and my family.

We got a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel from Puppy City on December 10th..First thing I noticed as soon as I walked into the store was the clean smell. A lot of pet stores have a certain “pet smell”.. This one didn’t. The store also looked very clean...The pet enclosures looked clean. The lady who helped us was very knowledgeable and sharp. I can’t remember her name, otherwise I’d definitely recommend her. The other employees we encountered were fine too. We took our puppy to our veterinarian for her initial physical a couple of days ago. There were no problems found. She’s healthy. All in all, I am definitely very happy with our puppy purchase. She is an absolute sweetheart. Melts the hearts of everyone who meets her with those expressive eyes and wonderful temperament.. Btw, don’t automatically believe the negative reviews. Be aware of what is being said, but see the store and puppies with your OWN eyes.. Judge for yourself.

Our personal experience here was amazing! We came in just looking and fell in love with a Labrador! The ladies there were so sweet! We were able to look at another dog as well but ultimately went with the lab. They didn’t rush us and let us take our time with the puppy. I would recommend this place based on my experience! Very pleased and made buying our puppy a great experience

I have visited this place twice to see the puppies and each experience was the same. They wouldn’t let you hold more than two dogs per visit, which doesn’t make sense if they’re trying to get these puppies out of there as soon as possible. The “playpens” that they stay in are extremely small and some have up to 3 puppies in them… All of them seemed very eager to get out each time you walked by. Puppies need to be socialized, have ample room to play and I’m not seeing any of that at this location. Sure, you can take a puppy out for some time, but that is not nearly enough play time for them. There are plenty of adoption places within the area or from a reputable breeders. DO NOT BUY A PUPPY FROM HERE!! Stores like this need to be shut down immediately.

I stopped in to "just look" at the puppies with my son. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Just so happened we left with my son's first dog. Couldn't have asked for a better puppy or experience!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Horrible customer service and treatment of customers. My family visited Puppy City for my mothers birthday in hopes of adding a new member to the family. While looking around, the staff working SCREAMED at my mother for trying to pick up a puppy. The staff also failed to inform anyone of their rules or guidelines upon entering the building. Absolutely NO communication from staff. We were told after holding 2 puppies and hoping to play with a 3rd there was a rule that you could only visit with 2 puppies. Puppies are crammed into pens and cages with up to 5 at a time and do not receive any interaction until a customer walks in. We’ve purchased a puppy from this store in the past and never received such horrible treatment. Overall, this was a terrible experience and I would not recommend anyone visit Puppy City in Winchester.

I went there a few times and it always left a pit in my stomach. Puppies should be raised in a household with their litter mates and a family. They should not spend their days pent up in small boxes with what looks like torn up paper on the bottom. Any ethical, responsible breeder would never, ever, EVER give their puppies to a store to sell. Puppy stores should be eliminated. They give puppy mill breeders the ability to keep making money and it is sickening. If you want to support good breeders, do your research and go directly to the breeder, not a middleman store that charges exorbitant prices just so they can make as much money as possible. And if they're upset by this review, it's because they know it's true.EDIT due to reply: I would love a list of every breeder that sends their puppies to the store. If that can be provided, and after doing research on said breeders yields decent results, I will delete my review. But a list of breeders is not readily available on the website or on Facebook. An FAQ on the site that just says they come from "USDA-inspected or hobby breeders" is not a good enough answer. Pet owners should be able to vet the breeders before going to look at puppies.EDIT 2: Also, I went to your Facebook. I'm not blocked and am able to see and comment on all your posts, so I'm not sure why you think I was blocked on there.

i’m 25 years old and i just purchased my 18 months old son the most amazing pug puppy from puppy city we live in pa and drove 3 hours to get there. the staff was great too dealing with my little one wanting to see basically every pup in the place before he chose his little pug pup they were patient with us spending 3 hours there making our decision not pushy at all and so helpful! this couldn’t have been a better experience for me and my little one. paid $3400 for her she’s worth every penny in my book she’s exactly what we needed to join our family!❤️ thank you puppy city and staff

Disgusting that this place even exists… there are so many dogs at shelters who need homes who are going to be put down because the shelters are over populated. Do a little bit of research and there are companies who rescue full bred dogs that need homes! Adopt don’t shop

DON NOT GET ANY PUPPIES FROM HERE!!!!! I got a dog a couple months ago and she should have been fully paid off by now, but I am being told that I still owe thousands of dollars on my dog. And I called and asked for the statement and I am being charged for a dresser with mirror and a nightstand!!!!! And have been told everytime I call to talk to someone that I will b getting a call back or just told to give them a sec and get out on hold and they hang up. They have terrible service and is just a scam

We went in looking for a pug and found the perfect little girl! All the people at the store were so friendly and helpful! They even included toys and everything for her! I can say we have been to our pet store back home and it’s not nearly as nice and great as it was here! I definitely recommend coming here if you want a new family member. Just wanted to add we got our 2nd puppy from here. Everyone was so wonderful including the owners. We found the perfect puppy and he so smart and has been well taken care of. If you’re looking for a family member/ best friend I suggest going here.

I was looking over the reviews on your site and was very alarmed at the post by Liz Moore. She clearly has your store confused with another and has never been to Puppy City here in Winchester. I go into Puppy City every month to buy my Stella and Chewy's dog food (one of the best dog food's out there). I have never smelled anything but a clean smell in this store. Dogs are well kept and loved by staff. The owner is very nice and strives to provide the best environment for the dogs while in transition to their new homes. He does limit contact with some dogs for their own emotional needs during transition if he feels it is best for the dog. His prices are higher but not nearly as high as other pet stores or breeders within a 200 mi radius. However, he will work with you on the price if you are a serious buyer that is clearly a good potential home for whatever dog you are looking at. I think the post Liz Moore posted on this site is false and she is clearly confused.

We love our new puppy. Staff were very friendly and helpful at allowing us to spend time with several different puppies trying to find our perfect pic. I appreciate the cleanliness and making sure that the puppies are safe between handlers. Overall excellent experience.

Very friendly staff beautiful puppies you want the top of the line I would recommend this place. And buying a good puppy from a place like this shuts down puppy mills. I didn't buy a puppy from them I took my dog in there to buy products for him but it is not hard to tell that this is a top of the line company that deals with top the line breeders! When you pay for the best you will get the best with a health certificate and good temperament let's face it we basically call them our pets but they become more like our children you want a puppy that will be with you for a long healthy life with a good temperament I would recommend going to this place for your Furever Baby!

This is the worst place ever! My dog has been very sick and they are not compensating us at all. Two days after I got him it went down hill. I would never get a dog from here again. This place needs to be closed down! I’m not the only one with this issue. They are in cahoots with the worst vets offered for the free visit. Even though the dogs are deathly sick, the vets clear them as being healthy. Once you take them to a reputable vet you get the true story. Please find a reputable breeder and do not go to this place!
