As a famous market place. Visited this unique place. Good choice of pottery products along with home decoration, etc also there. Arrangement and vibes make this place.

Very very sad. Wasn't worth the drive there. It's been a few years since I've been there and all the buildings were occupied. Now only 1 and that was bare.

It has lost the charm of having a mesh of all the vendor and craftsmen. Where you could walk building to build and talk to vendor and make some deals or watch something being made now it is just another shopping center. They do not even have the verity of items they use to, and no local carftsmen at all. Why drive all that way for what you can get local.

Like so many others have stated our family was looking for the old experience of the Williamsburg pottery when we were young children. They’ve updated it to a strip mall kind of feel. Only one of the buildings is open currently which is the largest one but it’s not fully stocked - some of the shelves and refrigerators were empty. The employees stated there was a plan to lease or sell the other buildings. I wish them the best and hopefully a strong bounce back. All the best Williamsburg pottery!

Not sure if this will eventually completely close. I've read that in the past it stretched over many buildings, now it's focused on one, but still *huge*. They definitely have a lot of space and it can feel eerie with lots of empty shelves and few customers around when I was visiting, but don't let that distract you. There are lots of things to explore, I would say it is well worth visiting and coming back. Specialty food, kitchen tools and gadgets, lots of gardening decoration and pots, and even bedding and some toys... Most bad reviews seem to compare it to 20 years ago, I can't comment on that, it's not Williamsburg pottery ware for sure, but an outlet store.

I really miss the old Williamsburg Pottery. It was a quaint place to shop while in the area. The new place is okay. It is certainly more accessible being right off Richmond Road. It is new and modern but seems empty. Hopefully because it is new and COVID that the shelves are not full. They still have some unique items, but many other merchandise I could get them elsewhere. Hopefully they can survive to serve the areas for many more years.

Seems to be smaller each time I go. I miss when it was at original location. Their prices are not as good and it's so spead out. Sad. I really liked that place

Nothing what it to used to be. Only one building was "open." Barely anything there for sale. One can do better with pricing at TJMaxx stores or Hobby Lobby.

So sad to watch this place fall apart over the years. The shelves are mostly empty now. It feels like they're just trying to sell what's left of the inventory before shuttering the doors forever.

The home goods building is a good place to wander around and find new items that you didn't know you wanted. I stop in when I'm in the are to see what they have, and I always leave with more than I expected. The food section seems to have been reduced over the years, which is disappointing... but still worth the stop. When I visited (on a Monday), only the main building was opened. Not sure if that is normal.

My wife used to have an art and framing business. Thirty years ago, in addition to buying some generic frames and supplies there, she found that it was cheaper for her business to have custom framing done at the frame shop at the pottery as opposed to hiring the employees required to do it at her own frame shop. Specialty items she still had to do in her shop but run of the mill framing was cheaper and just as good quality at the pottery. She would deliver the artwork to the frame shop and go over each piece with the details of how it was to be framed and was seldom if ever disappointed. We also frequented the lamp shop and other areas of the pottery to buy unique and good quality items for our own home. It was quite an experience to wander around the vast buildings of the Old pottery where, on rainy days, buckets would be set out on the concrete floor in places where the roof was dripping water. The place had character and an indefinable quality about it that made it a unique, interesting, and wonderful experience. Now, the transformation to a strip mall with nothing in it but generally low quality things that you can buy most anywhere is a great loss for not only Williamsburg but for Virginia as well. As a person who has been involved in my own businesses all of my life I must say that I have seldom seen a worse business decision as the one that was made in this case. A very sad end to a very unique place.

Shopped for storage and kitchen gadgets. There's a little bit of everything here. Each building houses different items. Not busy this time of year. Not a lot of help but did get asked if we needed help. Lady at checkout not friendly but got some good deals.

I was, quite honestly, disappointed. I was expecting a place that offered unique, quality, artistic level pottery. It is the most bizarre collection of incredibly cheap home goods.

Large selections of home goods. From gardening, to fine dining ware, to bed room furnishings. Staff was helpful as we picked out a set of lamps that we couldn't find in their stock. We ended up with the floor sample, as their staff helped us packaged it properly.

I was never at the old one. What I know is this a series of weird stores with weird stuff. I found some interesting stuff, but a ton of the shelves are empty. All of the stuff could probably fit in one store. Its like the buyer has really bad attention span issues.

I would have given it more stars if we weren't treated like we were inconveniencing the staff for being there. Seeing as we were the only ones in the entire complex besides one other person that I saw. We got told 4 times that we had an hour left before they closed and then reminded as we kept shopping as the time went down. It's nothing like the old buildings, it did look very nice and I was excited at first. But if you're hoping for the same experience as your childhood as I was it's quite disappointing. The prices aren't reasonable except for a few sale items and the staff seems bored and ready to leave apparently. It became a vacation joke to stop there for the rest of our week because it was "so" exciting.. insert sarcasm here. Change and updates are necessary but I believe there needs to be some training on customer relations and better spaces management. There were tons of empty shelves..

Not sure how they keep the doors open! Bargains far and few seen and most items can be found elsewhere cheaper. Down to just one building open currently. Clean facilities and bathroom. Worker's are very friendly. Wish they could be like the past or reinvent themselves as a Farmer's Market. They have plenty of space!

I was very disappointed in the pottery. The website leads you to believe that there is a massive location with all buildings open. Upon arriving, the parking lot was almost empty and only one building partially open. Website needs to be updated with current situation.

What the hell? I came here looking for the pottery factory that I had visited decades ago. Apparently that place is long gone. In its place is a very attractive looking series of small shops. I soon found out that looks can be deceiving though. What looks like 30 small shops from the outside is revealed to be 3 huge buildings filled with cheap Chinese knick knacks that you would expect to find in a dollar store. Worse yet, there is almost no pottery to be found. The place that I remember had hundreds of thousands of pieces of pottery, and that's what I was looking for. The employees were not great either. We showed up a half hour hour before closing time and their only concern was making sure we were out of the store on time so that they didnt have to stay there one more minute. Not once did anyone ask us what we were looking for or if we needed any help finding anything. Very disappointing. It's hard to imagine that this place will be in business much longer as the owners obviously spent millions on the beautiful buildings that house nothing more than a glorified flea market.

VERY different than our last visit 20 years ago. Nice store, nice selection of things. Prices were reasonable.

We almost didn't go due to the reviews, but I am glad I ignored them! I have never seen the "old" Williamsburg Pottery so my judgement isn't clouded by the past. I found it to be a nice place to shop. Clean, well organized inventory that had good sales. There is some lesser quality items, but the prices are in line with those products. Some of the shelves are empty and the products are spaced farther than a tradional store. It didn't feel so overwhelming in there. They are trying to fill a HUGE room, so I get that. I will be back!

Used to be so good then they changed it to junk. We could always find interesting pieces/pottery here. The building is now way nicer looking on the outside but it doesn't match the insides. They had such a unique selection years ago and actual pottery. When we visited we were surprised it is nothing like that and stuff that is similar to the "old time Pottery" stores in Fl & Al. it's higher priced decor in some cases but the quality is lower than at a Target for example. Some things are really cheaply made for a higher price. It reminds me of Big lots where you think you might find a good price but it turns out low end and not the value you paid. There are so many knick knacks and just not great. It is disappointing for sure knowing what it used to be but there were some cute things still and the building looks nicer outside at least they updated that. It has such potential but whomever is running it now really got away from the glory it once was and the uniqueness it used to have. They don't have a lot of pottery now either. It's kind of weird. I rather them remove anything that makes you think it is like the old pottery and just call it big cluster of stuff or something. It's kind of misleading to those that have been coming here for a long time.

Disappointed. Most sections were closed. Very empty shelves in the open section. Won't go back.

Neat and clean with lots of floor space and variety of goods. Plenty of pottery, but not sure how much is made in VA. Didn’t really meet up to my expectations of having locally made articles.

It is a fun place to look through. But most of the shelves weren't stocked and it was full of a bunch of random items. Definitely not like the old Williamsburg Pottery store that we use to go to since they moved locations.

This shell of the original pottery is disappointing. There are no cool and unusual finds. I bought a few kitchen items, such as soup bowls, cookie containers for the holidays, and some ramekins. All of this came out to about $20.

This was my second time visiting, I tend to come during the off season so all the buildings are not in use. But it was nice and organized into one main building so it was easy to see what they had in stock. I didn't have anything in particular I was looking for but ended up buying some kitchen items and a nice plant pot. I hope some day I can visit when the whole space is being used.
