This Walgreens is amazing. I have no idea why the ratings are so low here. I'm always greeted with a pleasant hello from the cashier. The pharmacy is fast and friendly. My doctor submitted an order and it was filled within two hours. They do a great job. I highly recommend this Walgreens pharmacy, use LabCorp and have had good experiences there too

My family came to Williamsburg for vacation and on the last day my husband lost his phone and a very important medication that he has to have . I called and spoke to Erica the Pharmacist at this Walgreens and asked her to retrieve his script from our mail order pharmacy ( which it’s very hard to get a hold of someone ) and she was so helpful and understanding. I informed her that we had a 7 hour trip back home that day and I couldn’t leave without getting his medication as he was already feeling bad. She immediately got on the phone and retrieved his prescription in a timely manner and got it ready. I am very appreciative and impressed by the service at this store as I know retail pharmacy can be difficult. Thank you so much again ! This is the definition of true healthcare and taking care of your patients!

This is one of the most rudeness stores I have been to in years. I felt like I was not even supposed to shop here as if I was not allowed be here. I came in the store to get drug testing done and I noticed that they seem to be having a sale so I decided to look around . I was approached by a staff member and she started looking at me strangely and asked did I need help I said no think you and she continue to stare at me so I walked further done didn’t reach the end of the same isle just to be appreciated by another staff member asking do I need help and I told her no then she proceeded to tell me oh ok you looked tired so I think you might need my assistance. First off I just woke up so I am far from tired and it’s is very rude of you to an assume that I am base off my clothes or whatever made you form that opinion. I felt insulted. I’m just going to get my labs and go never again.

The worst pharmacy I’ve ever gone to. Every time I’ve been here I’ve had to wait over an hour for any sort of service, whether that’s getting a shot or picking up a prescription. The pharmacist also has absolutely no customer service knowledge and is incredibly rude. I called to get an issue resolved, asked a simple question, and was immediately dismissed and sassed by the pharmacist.

The representative name Jasmine in the pharmacy, was rude to me, and I complained to the manager and nothing happen. This pharmacy at this location is the worst pharmacy I ever went to.Also, I had to write my review again because they keep taking it down. We should be able to write honest reviews without them taking it down. If this was a good review and I mentioned this young lady name then they would let it stay up. Hopefully they will stop taking g it down. Obviously they have a problem in the pharmacy with there staff, but won't do anything about it. Its really sad.

Worse than the BMV. Unforgivably understaffed morning, noon and night, easy to spend half an hour picking up beds. Has failed to correct a problem going on for YEARS with their system sending prescriptions to other branches out of state. I HATE going here.

I went in to get a flu shot (third attempt because CVS seemed to be having scheduling issues). I was promptly greeted by the pharmacy technicians and confirmed my information with them. While I was waiting, a belligerent women at the drive thru harassed multiple staff members. The staff members kept their cool while handling her and other customers. I was able to receive my vaccine with no issues and was shocked and pleasantly surprised by how professional the staff continued to be. Everyone is short-staffed and everyone needs to be treated with kindness. I will definitely use this Walgreens again.

Picked up a prescription for my dad today. Ended up with the wrong thing. He went to go return it and the pharmacist tried to tell him it was illegal to do so. I don’t know about everywhere else but according to the code of Virginia, prescriptions can be returned. My father did end up getting the refund, which begs the question, if it’s so illegal to return prescriptions how is there a process to do so? Does your pharmacist need to be retrained? Or was he lying to my father’s face?

Very long wait times and poor customer service. I understand that staffing is currently an issue in pharmacies universally, however, there is no excuse for poor customer service.

Update: here again, 2 people in line, 30 min and counting. They deserve negative stars. I was here twice this week and walked out each time due to line length.————-They have two registers usually being manned by one horribly slow and chatty employee. Too much tolerance is given to people without their information correct. They should have a line just for regular customer pickups. Regardless if you’re in the drive thru or go into the store, it’s a 45 minute wait to speak to anyone. This is normal.

Hard to tell the difference between drug stores or the same brand in different cities, but this Walgreens is a notch above the rest. Seemed cleaner inside and out, extremely well stocked, very friendly staff.

Always pleasant, professional and provide high level of customer service no matter how busy or how long the line. Most bad reviews are about waiting which they can't help because only Williamsburg Walgreens. We use them often and have never had an issue.

There is a technician who works in the pharmacy department by the name of Jasmine. She was very rude to me today. I have been going to this pharmacy for years and never once have I experienced someone as rude as this young lady. I will be switch to CVS because they pride themselves on customer service.Horible, horrible pharmacy, and not all Walgreens, but only this one.

The pharmacists here are so sweet. I’m passing through town and desperately needed a prescription quickly, and they had it done for me within 10 minutes. It was a long wait in line, but when I was helped it was by a friendly face and efficient hands. In the time I spent in line, I could tell that each of the women behind the counter was working their absolute hardest.

After waiting 30 minutes to connected on the phone to a pharmacist. A man in the pharmacy department answered the phone. He was very rude!!! Cutting me off when I was talking !! And wouldn’t look into the issue I was having his response was I have no idea in a rude tone! Almost as if he wanted to hang up on me! I’ve never had this issue with any of the other staff while on the phone

It’s at least a 1 hour commitment to get someone from Pharmacy to answer the phone. They’re super pleasant in person but good luck if you ever need to call.

This is the worst place ever! I’ve been in this line for 10 minutes and the line has not moved. I WILL be switching pharmacies because it is like this no matter what time of day I come. The drive through had 8 cars in it and that line wasn’t moving either!

The service at this store used to be so professional until it wasn't. The people answer the phone and don't even attempt to speak clearly. I called in a prescription for a patient and the girl hung up on me. The order was called the day before & I spoke directly to the pharmacist but for whatever reason the patient was told it was available. The next day I called I had to call from 2 different phones just to get someone to pick after being on hold for nearly 10 minutes. I asked the girl do you have the medication or not? Don't tell me one thing and have the patient arrive just to be told it's not available.

I tried dropping off a FedEx package and the guy who took my package stood with his back to me and then whipped around and shoved the package pretty forcefully into my abdomen saying, "We don't take lab boxes." So rude! There was a nicer lady (employee) who told me where I could take it to drop it off. I really appreciate the lady helping, but that guy was so rude, I'm not coming back.

We pulled up to the drive thru to pick up a prescription. It was 20 minutes to wait (we couldn't back up due to other cars behind us) and when we finally pulled up the girl tells us she can't help us because the pull thru was for COVID testing only. There were no signs except once you pulled up to the window. Wasted time waiting, and the cars behind us had the same issue and had been waiting that long too. We know this because we saw them inside the store to get their prescriptions too. They need to have more signage so people know before they sit in line. Shame on you Walgreens on Richmond. Need to care more about your customers.

Terrible pharmacy. Called in a prescription at 2p and was told that it wouldn't be ready until 4p. I arrived at 6p and it still wasn't ready. They told me to come back at 8p. I did, and still ended up waiting. It was very chaotic behind the counter. Nobody really knew what they were doing.

I do not understand what the issue is with this pharmacy. I come from out of state to help elderly mother and it’s is incredibly inefficient and slow. Waiting for up to 2 hrs and 15 min in line for an RX. At least on 10 occasions it is always same thing. Not sure why Walgreens does not evaluate archaic system and improve it!!!

My med was out of stock on Wed and the staff told me it would be in stock on Thur by noon time, so I skipped a class to pick up my med on Thur. However, the staff told me they received the meds and have to process another business day. OK, I called today's morning, to see if they have this med, if they don't I am gonna switch to another pharmacy so that I can take my med. Well, the staff told me I can pick up my med this afternoon. Wow, now is 6:20pm and I started my call at 5pm, no one answer my phone call and got hung up twice. 👍 well done Walgreens. I would NEVER EVER step inside to this store.

The pharmacy is the most inept I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen tons of military pharmacies. The drive through takes forever and twice they’ve given me the wrong medications. When you go inside you usually see one person working and the rest are standing around and joking with each other.

Very disappointed slowest pharmacy in Williamsburg I was told that my prescription was ready forPick up when I get there she tells me its not ready.... I over heard a lady conversation that was infront of me saying hers was supposed to be ready yesterday and still today its not ready COME ON GET IT TOGETHER

Terrible!! Substitute Pharmacist for the day, Jeff just told me that I sound like "someone who should be picking (my class of medicine)"!! Unbelievable!! His instructions were left last night! It's not my fault he can't follow directions! Insulting! Belittling customers due to his own shortcomings!?!? Not professional AT ALL!! 5 FIVE phone calls this took!! And I'm using The Walgreens App to avoid these phone calls and it's STILL not correct and I'm having to call! This Walgreens has been suffering for more than a year. Staff substitute choices like Jeff are NOT helping their community perception AT ALL!!!

Just left Walgreens on Richmond Rd. and will never go back again. Went to the front registers with my purchases and encountered THE RUDEST checkout person. First, he asked for my card or phone #. I put my phone number in the screen and must have made a mistake so he jumped all over me "what did you do? You did something wrong!! " So mean! Then I told him that my sugar was down so I picked up a candy bar to include with my purchase and that made him worse. After I told him I would never come back to this store he YELLED twice to have a good day!
