Amazing selection of plants grown on location in their own greenhouses. Very helpful staff. Reasonable prices on garden plants. This garden center is a real jewel just waiting for you to discover. Not easily noticed and have passed by it before and never knew it was there. Will definitely go back.

I buy all my perennials and bushes here. They are so helpful in answering your questions and helping you to get the right plants for your yard. Their bushes are healthy and my Hollys have done beautifully. This is the only place I go for all my gardening needs including dirt, tools, mole and cat repellents too . Their Christmas arrangements are fresh and beautiful. Mine lasted into February.

Nice little family nursery with mostly annuals and some perennials. Reasonable prices. Plenty of parking. Plants all looked very healthy. They say they grow most of their own annuals. No shrubs or trees in Stock when I visited. They will order if you want them.

I am new to Williamsburg. This center is amazing!! The selection of plants is phenomenal. They are actually grown on site. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I got plants I was looking for and the quality blew me away. They are 14 times better than Lowe’s and cheaper! I love supporting local businesses. Check them out!

The best Garden Center in the Williamsburg area. Homestead is a very knowledgeable Nursery and care about their plants. My visit was enchanting and I will be a regular. I'm so happy we have this gem in our area. The price on everything is unbelievable. The selection and quality is fantastic and they even grow most plants on site!!! This is hands down the most enjoyable place to shop!

A family operated nursery offering a nice variety of landscape plants, annuals and perenials, as well as planting amendments and potting soils. A small retail store carries pots, gardening needs and tools. Friendly assistance, good prices competitive with any other retailer, country feel. What's not to like about that?

This is absolutely the best garden center in the Williamsburg area. They have a very high degree of integrity and have your best interests in mind. My first experience with Ulster went like so: Even though I was very anxious to begin planting in the early Spring, and even though they had begun receiving their Spring inventory, they advised me to come back in a week or two after the cold front had passed to assure a successful planting. They said that though they will most likely lose a lot of their plants to the upcoming, unusual cold front, they would prefer to lose a plant than lose a customer. They also explained to me that for this same reason they only sell plants that will do well in Viginia, a state that experiences both extreme heat and extreme cold. As a new homeowner and recent resident of Virginia, I appreciated the gesture tremendously. Since that day, I have purchased a great deal of plants from Ulster, and each experience has been a joyful one. The staff is incredibly friendly and committed to answering basically any question you may have. All of their plants -- yes, all of them -- are incredibly healthy. All of the plants that I have purchased from them have grown extremely well in my garden. I recently decided to check out a few other garden centers in the area, and I simply cannot believe how much more professional Ulster is. All of the other garden centers that I visited had a large collection of halfway dead, if not almost completely dead, plants that were marked considerably higher than Ulster. Ulster is the place to go. In addition to the quality of the plants you will buy, you can rest assured knowing you are getting a very fair price, particularly when you look at the amount of love they put into their business. This a family business you'll love to support.

I'd love to say the same about previous reviewers given their location and selection but I cannot. Both times I've stopped by to look at adding to my landscaping it was difficult finding help and felt like I was disturbing employees hard at work watering. I hate being forced to go to Lowe's or Home Depot but at least they are friendly.
