I a female would love to build but I don’t have a clue. I am generally educated with construction because I build my house plus from traveling to Greece and watching them building. When I walked in early evening I was walked through my project with a female employee. Left happy. A few day later I realized the pine shelves are not strong so I returned but this time with three employees standing a few feet away who had seen me I had to yell for help. This experience was bizarre. I came in to buy cedar wood for four shelves. I provided the male employee the quantity and the measurements so I went looking around near by. I’m called to pay. It wrong $180. I was confused. I was getting six shelves not four. I was too embarrassed to start anything and left in a weird state of mind. . To shorten my ordeal the shelves were cut 70 inches. Way too long. Then they were wider. I bought them for my window to display my sea glass art. Did not sleep. Next day after I talked to a non friendly general manager I was told to bring them back to be cut. Once I arrived she wouldn’t come to see me so a young man, Ted stepped in to help me. He cut them to size and apologized for the inconvenience. He treated me with kindness and respect and professionalism. He asked to run my credit card so he will deduct all the money. I looked at this young man with surprise. I was so grateful considering I live on fix income. Again his name Ted explained that it wasn’t fair and was not treated well and as a manager he feels it’s his duty to refund the money and give me the shelves. I actually fell to get on my knees and kiss his feet. Yes it a huge store. Well stocked. Clean but Ted made Home Depot Great.

My wife and I recently purchased a house and decided to install blinds. We chose Bali Blinds from Home Depot, costing us $2700, including installation. The purchase was made in early March, but the installation process has been far from satisfactory.Home Depot outsources its installation services, and the contractor arrived in mid-March to install the blinds. However, only 90% of the blinds were installed as the vertical blinds were sent with incorrect hardware. The contractor, who displayed an unprofessional attitude throughout, assured us that he would contact Home Depot and return to complete the installation.A month later, we were scheduled for the completion of the installation on April 27, 2024, between 11 am and 2 pm. Unfortunately, the contractor showed up at the wrong house, which was merely a subdivision over. Instead of rectifying his mistake, he responded with “oh well, not my problem, I’m not going anywhere else.”We attempted to contact his company, but our calls went unanswered. Our subsequent visit to Home Depot proved futile as their attempts to contact the company were equally unsuccessful. Home Depot now seems to be in the dark about the situation and unable to provide a timeline for the completion of the job we paid for. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. The lack of professionalism and accountability from both the contractor and Home Depot has left us with an incomplete service and blinds that are yet to be fully installed. We hope that Home Depot addresses this issue promptly and ensures such incidents do not recur in the future.

Went in person to buy a fridge, delivery date of 12/28 promised by employee. Delayed a week and a half, customer service promised a temporary fridge and partial refund. Manager condescendingly said that has never been done. Delayed delivery date passed. Cancelled order, was told I'd receive a refund 3-5 business days later. Another lie, 9 business days later and it's not even pending. 15 phone calls and that many days later, no fridge, no refund, only a credit card bill I have to fight. Never order an appliance from this store or maybe any Home Depot unless it's a toilet you want to flush money down. Buy from Best Buy instead, they deliver on time rather than lie multiple times.

I purchase a variety from this store. Everything from Halloween and Christmas decorations to do it your self items. Mostly I enjoy going into Home Depot. Every once and a while though I come across a cashier that lacks training or is tired or whatever. It does lessen the experience.

Much better than the Lowes nearby. They have everything you need for home projects. Their customer service is great.

Self Checkout is a horrible experience, Manager is a micro manager and hovers over everyone and takes the scanner and does everything intruding upon your space. She took my screwdriver and put it underneath a shelf and I left without it, fortunately I went back to buy more products which again she stopped me and wanted to do everything and didn't believe me when I told her that everything except one item had already been paid for when she was the one that JUST scanned them moments ago! I had to present my receipts to her and she still acted confused. Frustrating.. They also will substitute items that are the wrong size on pickup orders without notifying customer! Do not recommend this home depot.

I recently moved to the Williamsburg area. Having purchased a new home I needed may things from this store. ALEX was most gracious with his time in helping me purchase all of the window blinds that I needed, and afterwards sending me in the right direction for other purchases. I would also like to commend LISA from New York. What a wonderful person. I always look for her when I return to the store.

I ordered my stove on Sunday. Salesman said if damaged to refuse the order and another stove would be delivered the next day. Yup, the stove came damaged. Nope, that was a lie. I had to wait 24-48 hours just to get a delivery date, which I'm now told is the 25th!! That's another week. My initial delivery date was 3 days!!! The date was told to me via a computerized phone call, too!! Now 2 days off from work to be home for the delivery. I've stopped shopping at stores because of this kind of customer service.Home Dept's customer service called me about the return, and Christian hung up on me when I questioned having to wait 24-48 hours for my new delivery date. What kind of customer service is that?I received my call over 24 hours later, and the stove will be delivered in a week. My initial order took 3 days for a scheduled delivery date. Now it's a week!

Admittedly I am an orange box guy but we got exceptional service on this day. Just moved to Williamsburg. Went shopping for a shelving unit. We got to self checkout and it rang up $50 higher than the shelf price. My wife and I discussed if we wanted it for the extra $50. A nearby clerk came over. We discussed the price discrepancy and she immediately adjusted the price on the spot. Very nice lady.

I went in last Sunday to purchase a push mower and a Milwaukee cut-off tool. In the lawn and garden area I could not find an employee, so I found myself on my phone looking up reviews and information about lawn mowers and if the current selection in store was a better option than the deals and inventory I'm seeing online. I had so many questions that I just gave up.I went to look at power tools and asked for help locating something specific. I was lead over to that tool, and before I could ask the employee if this was the right tool for the job, or even to open the locker so I could purchase this tool, she was gone. In a matter of seconds she had left. I approached two other employees at the end of the aisle to ask then to open the locker so I could take the tool to checkout; one employee made eye contact with me and then the pair both walked off in opposite directions. I called my local hardware store, they had the tool I needed so I left Home Depot without buying anything and went straight there. While I was there I asked about lawn mowers and they answered my questions and made a better recommendation for my needs, so I bought that from them also. I'll be sure to swing by He Depot if I ever need to just look at something, but I'm going to just ask my local hardware store to order what I need to purchase. I'm more than happy to spend a few dollars more if that's what it takes, but to be honest the pricing at Home Depot isn't particularly competitive either.

Updated 11/09/22:So the original home depot installers failed to connect the water hose to the dryer (steam setting), when called argued that “most people don’t like steam”, reluctantly came back. Later we learned they installed the hot/cold “backwards” to the washer, and home depot said to call GE (washer issue). GE said nope, hose backwards. Home Depot sends a different crew - who looks at hoses and says “hoses are correct”. GE tech comes out, and of course immediately sees that the hot water hose is connected to the clearly marked “cold” input and cold to hot. So four (4) home depot installers - two trips - can’t successfully figure out how to connect cold to cold/hot to hot. that’s an entirely new level if incompetence.Original post:We purchased an expensive ($2,400) General Electric washer dryer combination. No complaints about the appliances. The installation however was problematicWith multiple errors made by the installers. The two installers were friendly and personable, but clearly seem to be in a rush. About 10 minutes after they left, my wife came to me and said, what are the extra hoses for? Note: when you order new appliances for installation, you are required to pay for all new hoses, but this set of hoses was actually for the dryer, which has a steam setting (which we paid extra for). I called them, and the lead installer sort of dismissed the error by saying, most people find that they don’t like the steam setting. I explained that if we find that we don’t like the steam setting, we will stop using it, but I certainly don’t intend to pay extra for the dryer with the steam, setting, pay extra for the additional Hoses, only to have that decision made for me by someone else. He discussed it a little further, making it clear, he was hoping not to return, but finally relented by saying, do we need to return to install the hoses? Yes. They did - but the errors did not end there.A week later, my wife came to me and said she was confused, because when she ran the washing machine on cold, the clothes were hot to the touch when the cycle was finished. At this point, Home Depot noted that it was now a warranty situation, so she needed to contact GE. She did, and after hearing the explanation, the GE technician stated that this is not a warranty situation, because the symptoms she noted “clearly indicate” that the installers connected the hoses “backwards”, connecting the hot water to the cold water intake, and the cold water to the hot water intake. So now we need to pull both washer and dryer out and figure out what’s connected to what (for all I know, the dryer is also connected incorrectly). Not happy.

We looked at the plants at Home Depot, there are many to choose from. Annuals in packs, perennials in disposable containers and lots of varieties already potted. Great for inspiration to create your own grouping.

Kudos to Dave!! Dave was super polite while delivering my order curbside. It took longer than usual and Dave apologized for the inconvenience. However it it was what he did after dropping off my order to me that made me write this review. After dropping off my order off to me Dave saw another customer struggling to load items into the bed of his truck. Dave stopped and assisted this gentleman and I thought that was nice. Dave could’ve just gone back into the store because it wasn’t like the other customer saw him, he was to busy trying to put the items into his truck. I appreciated seeing Dave go the extra mile to help when he thought no one was looking 😊.

Please read throughout if you see this Kevin Keene and please have a serious talk with David watts. If i could give this zero stars I would. Probably one of the worse job experiences I’ve ever had is Home Depot horrible training managers doesn’t know where locations are in the store but they’ve been working at Home Depot for 29 years. One of the worse managers In the store is David watts very rude if someone can’t find a item he slams his hand on the desk in frustration instead of helping the employee out like an actual manager does. He does nothing as a manager but sit at the front desk and talks in a stern voice and not help his fellow team members. I really hope this reaches Kevin Keene and he has a talk with David watts because I think David watts should be fired. David watts in one of the worse managers I’ve ever worked with in my entire life. Once again please read this Kevin Keene store manager

For the love of god, decide if self-checkout is actually self-checkout or not. If you want to have self-checkout then your poorly trained employees need to leave customers alone. Their "help" is distracting and annoying. They ruin the efficiency of self-checkout when they interrupt me while I'm scanning, offering to do it for me, when I'm already doing just fine by myself.Either have self-checkout or don't, but figure it out. Also, you're late to the tap to pay game and it's annoying.

This is actually a review of Home Depot appliance services, particularly their delivery. We recently purchased a refrigerator and a pair of wall ovens. The refrigerator was delivered several weeks ago, and had small dents in the front, so we reported it and chose to get a new one (rather than a damage allowance). The night before the second one was to be delivered, they called us to say it, too, was damaged so they were not going to deliver it. We got the third one about a week later. It had small dents in the front, but we were tired of removing and replacing all of our food, so we accepted it and got a damage allowance from Whirlpool (which takes up to 8 weeks to receive) and a compensation from Home Depot. This week, our wall ovens were delivered. They, too, were damaged. They had several dents in the back, and my husband (and the installers) did not feel that it was safe to have them installed. Home Depot does not have this model in stock, and told me the next possible delivery would be 2 1/2 weeks out. Since that date wasn't good for us, we have to wait several more days, and then another day for installation. I have already been without ovens for a couple of weeks because our kitchen is being remodeled, so now I'm without ovens for about 1 month. I realize there is a supply chain problem, but... why is every appliance that Home Depot delivers damaged?? I would never purchase another appliance from them.

This is becoming my go to store. There are plenty of employees willing to help and seem to be very knowledgeable. They always seem to have what I need and if they're low on inventory, quick to tell me when they expect more. Self checkout is quick and help is nearby if needed. Returns are simple without a lot of questions. Still my go to store. Always plenty of inventory.

I'd like to take a moment to commend Mr. John on his exceptional cleaning services. It was a pleasant surprise to walk into a beautifully decorated and very clean public restroom where disinfectant was placed in every stall. The restrooms at this particular Home Depot was cleaner than most other businesses and restaurants for that matter. I felt it was very necessary to acknowledge Mr. John's hard work because it is much appreciated.

I ordered a storm door on September 23 and it is still not installed. So I canceled the order today. I did finally get an install date but No one came and no one called. I was credited for the door and install fee but not the 40 dollar size visit fee. All of this too at least 6 visits to the store. This store has zero management and now I was told I had to return to the store to discuss with with someone in the door department about the 40 dollars they owe me. Very poor management.
