A great little shop in a nice area of Williamsburg! We went here specifically because they have this new Cat Cove which allows you to interact with adoptable cats from local shelters for free. You sign a waiver and are allowed in a room where they have such lovely places for the cats to climb and relax and hang out. You can buy treats from a vending machine and just hang out with the cats for 30 minutes or so.The store has a ton of great products for animals, and the staff was really nice and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back next time we are in Williamsburg

This is a great free activity in Williamsburg. You can adopt the cats. In fact I saw 2 cats get adopted there myself! There is a guest capacity so you may have to wait a bit to go in if it’s full. Once you’re in, you have 30 minutes to pet and play with the kitties! They also have binders with the cat’s info so you can learn more about them.

The cat cove is THE BEST! Such a wonderful way to support our animals and Heritage Humane Society. We love visiting for kitty snuggles and we adopted our cat from here a year ago. He’s been the sweetest addition to our family. Their store also has great options and their staff is amazing. 10/10!

Nautical Dog is an incredible small-owned local business. The employees are always so welcoming and helpful. There is a WIDE variety of pet food, toys, enrichment, hygiene products, etc. They even offer a rewards system for food. Every product is vetted (nothing even remotely bad or unhealthy for your pets). Pricing is going to be a bit more than Petco or Petsmart but it is well worth it if you value the quality of your pets’ lives. Don’t forget about the cat cove either - such cute adoptable cats every time! HIGHLY recommend this place!

I cannot say enough good things about this shop. There is no pet store like it. The owner and her staff are incredibly knowledgeable about all of their products and have helped me to develop a diet best suited to my dog. They carry only the best products. My dogs love everything from the food, to the treats and the toys. The quality is unmatched.

Can’t say enough great things about this place. The staff is always kind & helpful, you can tell they care about the well-being of all pets & it shows. You can also tell their products are meticulously chosen based on the ingredients & we appreciate knowing that what we purchase there is healthy for our dogs. Their self-serve washing station makes bath time SO much easier for us. Koozie even thinks bath time isn’t so bad at Nautical Dog 😊

We participate in the Sunday morning pack walk and enjoy stopping by for delicious treats. Dog wash is so convenient and inexpensive. Love the staff, they are so nice.

Absolutely love this store! Such a clean and cute spot with a fantastic selection of high-quality products. What I love most about the shop is its owner. She is so incredibly dedicated to her mission of serving pets, animal rescues and the broader community. I love all the events and creative ideas she comes up with to bring people and pets together. Products here are a bit pricey, but it's in an expensive area and it's a small business so I understand.

So yes it is pricey, however it is quality items. Foods, healthier and more natural ingredients, you pay for what you get. If you're like me and want a great place that's friendly and educational, also exciting for your fur baby this is the place. I've recently learned about it and have visited five times now in the past month. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, plus for my fur baby they are very inviting and show him lots of attention and he adores the attention. They gave me samples of stuff to try when asking about kibble and raw foods, which I find very helpful before investing money on a new food choice my picky eater may not like. They have a bone bar that have introduced me to new bones that are better for my pup. They have a dog bakery, that my pup loves and they have toys at dog level so he occasionally grabs a toy he likes. It's fun for my baby and me. The staff being so friendly is a plus, and the rewards program is awesome. Why not get something back for the money you spend and it shows they appreciate your business. To me this place is the best.

I don't know what I would do without this store! I feed my little guy a frozen raw food, and I would have to drive to Newport News to buy the food if not for Nautical Dog. I like their selection of natural treats and chews, and it's always fun to pick out something new for my boy to try when we go in for his food. They do great customer appreciation sales and gifts.

This is such a cute shop. Even though it’s the nautical dog they have a pet cat that you can visit with. My son loves going there. We don’t even have a pet. We go and visit their sweet cat and get treats for the dogs in our neighborhood.

We love taking our pups here and they love coming here!! Such a great selection of food, treats, grooming supplies, and other fun pet related items. We come here for the self serve dog wash, they provide everything you need and it's nice that the tubs are raised so you don't have to bend over too much. The staff are always very pleasant.

It was a nice visit. I was in from out of state and missing my furbabies. So I walked in sat with some amazing cats for some therapy. Amazing staff super friendly. Some very neat items. They don't just have things for pets they have things for their owners. Just wish I could remember where I put the shirt ... 🤔

If I could give 10 stars I would. The people who work there deserve a raise. Not only are they happy and kind but the self service dog wash could easily be priced 3 times as much. I drove 30 minutes away for them but I'd easily drive an hour. 10/10.

I just can't shop in your repetitive, high pressure environment. I don't want to sign up for a loyalty program! The look on the lady's face when I declined 3 times could have stopped a clock. Your receipts don't say you have to be enrolled for a return without a receipt either. I don't pledge loyalty to anything and neither do you obviously. Sign up seems to be a requirement to shop there. Nice staff, with airs and extensive (push the samples) training, but this place stresses me out. I can't just come in and simply buy dog food. I was kind but Hallie didn't offer me a sample of the goat milk though I would have politely declined. Hallie could not be bothered to go the extra minute for me. (Unknowingly I elevated to "that" customer, I guess.) Personally, I want my excellent customer attitude to meet EVERY business owners expectations, but Nautical Dog is just too snooty and my purchase of a $100 bag of food didnt increase my value to them either. Building great rapport is so important to me as I have lived here 23 years. Nautical Dog seems to want me to stay at the curb.

Absolutely love this place & so does my dog! The people who work there are so sweet & informative. I always go for the treats. My dog is obsessed with the treat bar they have & it's always buy 5 get 1 free. Plus they have a dog wash there now that my sister & I just used today & it's so nice. Most definitely easier than washing my dog at home. They supply shampoo, a brush & desheding rake plus a blower to dry your dog off & towels. I absolutely 100% recommend this place. You will not be disappointed!

Absolutely love this place!!! The staff is super helpful, store is clean stock great brand dog food and treats. I can't say enough about how many good brand options they have. I also did the self dog wash and they had everything we could need to get the job done right! 4 shampoo options and multiple types of brushes; Also it was only $12.50 what a steal!
