This store is wonderful. Lots of fresh produce, including a selection of Asian greens. Great prices on party size fruit bowls. High quality meats and seafood at good value. Professional and courteous staff, including Moira who’s always so helpful in this department. The deli and bakery team, awesome. Frank worked patiently with me on a sheet cake for our car club Christmas party. The design turned out fantastic and the club members had high praise for the imagery and the delicious cake. So fortunate to have this store nearby.

The store was clean and will laid out. Everything looked organized. There were multiple checkouts open so the wait time was next to nothing. I liked this store.

I promise I’m not difficult guest, but Sherry is not a person I’d like to have to deal with at self-checkout again anytime soon. With more than an hour til close and an issue with the register, I recommend opening cashier check-out lines or replacing the “checkout chaperone”, with someone who is a little more respectful to guests. It seems as if there is a consistent attitude issue with her, when I’m not on the Harris Teeter payroll and therefore cannot be held responsible for the difficulty of self-checkout.Also, at 9:45 at night, having two employees smoking cigarettes right next to the front door, and filling your store with the rank stench of cigarettes (we could smell it from the soda aisle) is kind of gross, and eliminates the joy of the general clean and fresh feeling of this location - which is why we choose it over other groceries in the area. I can assure you that we can find the same brands for cheaper pricing up the street if need be, but enjoy the ambiance of this location when we visit.Saddened by our experience this evening, and have many recent experiences of a similar nature. Will look to shop elsewhere in future. Thanks!

Excellent supermarket. I didn’t shop often because I found it pricey but after I went back I found good specials. I like that if two cantaloupes are priced, 2 for $3, I can buy one for $1.50. (Example). Wonderful produce.Again pricey.

I hate this harris teeter this is the most rudest unpleasant harris teeter I've been in. The people that come in there are by far the snobiest stuck up people ever. And the workers seem like they hate there job so much and are so stuck up. Go to the one on Quarter path rd or the one off James Town rd they are much nicer and friendlier.

I am so disappointed with the employee by the name of Shaun that works in the delivery section. He is responsible for frying the chicken. He is rude, nasty attitude,very unpleasant, and unprofessional. When I approached the deli he looks away as if he didn't see me then I'm standing there for about ten minutes he never turns around. I finally say excuse me a few times then another employee comes and say can I help you. How long before the chicken will be ready , he asks Shaun and he barely part his lips. Other customers was complaining as well .Sorry poor excuse for a worker. Harris teeter get your workers up to date on how to treat customers with him continuing to treat people that way Harris teeter will be known for being a piss poor company . I am specifically giving the pharmacy a poor rating. Two prescriptions sent in by my eye doctor. They didn’t have the first one and, even though I’ve signed up multiple times for text alerts, they didn’t communicate the lack of availability.I called them to check the status and only then I was told the they couldn’t fill the prescription, I called my doctor who sent in an alternative. When I called to check on that one, I was told they couldn’t fill it either. Sadly, I asked my doctor to send the prescription to Walmart.A convenient location isn’t always worth it.

I was really disappointed at how empty the shelves were and now have to go somewhere else to get what I need. But the biggest issue was the lady working at the self checkout. OMG she was so hateful and yelling at everyone to stay in one line, can't use cash, etc. I think I will avoid this store from now on.

DAVID IN PHARMACY IS THE BEST! My 7 year old daughter was prescribed Cyproheptadine to be taken daily. I had 2 different people in pharmacy tell me that her medicine could not be flavored. Everyday was a struggle as she cried hysterically to take her medicine. (Understandably so it tasted awful). Desperate, on friday night around 6:30pm I called up to the pharmacy to see if I could purchase flavoring drops off of amazon and if it would affect the efficacy of the medication. David, was surprised I was told this couldn't be flavored and assured me he could figure out a quick formulation and that it could be done that night before they closed. (I called at 6:30, they closed at 8:00). My husband hurried there that night and THANKS TO DAVID my daughter drinks her watermelon flavored medication without hassle and even looks foward to it! He said if anyone tells me no to ask for him specifically. THANK YOU SO MUCH DAVID YOU DESERVE THE WORLD AND ONLY POSITIVE THINGS TO COME TO YOU!!! THERE NEED TO BE MORE PEOPLE LIKE YOU IN THE WORLD. :)

Harris Teeter located at Lightfoot Marketplace is generally my grocery store of choice. I was appalled at what I witnessed at the Deli Counter Today. One of the deli meat slicers kept slicing more lunch meat than what was requested by the customer. Three times, three different customers, told him he sliced more meat than what they asked for and three times this young man took the 1/2 pound off what he just sliced and threw it in the garbage. He threw out 1 1/2 pounds of lunchmeat, enough to feed a large family for a weeks worth of lunches. What a waste! On top of that you are asking me to round up my order to help the local Food Bank? That extra meat should have been wrapped up, labeled, and given to the next person using food stamps at the checkout counter. I happened to witness all of this because the other person slicing meat was molasses. It took him 30 minutes to cut 2 kinds of meat and 1 cheese for me. He also sliced more turkey than what I needed but I told him I would take it as I could not bear the thought of food being wasted again. Shame on the deli manager for allowing this to happen and not supervising his workers.

When in to see what was on the cold variety salad bar and the soup on the hot bar. Wanted a chicken noodle variety so no to clam chowder. Went and found the Panera soups a fresh loaf of wheat bread and an easy dinner.

Very disappointed! I pre-ordered the holiday turkey meal, and from the website description the meal was prepared. Not so, I received a partially frozen turkey in its original package from the factoryand frozen sides from the freezer section. This was not worth $60. The manager attempted to convince me that the turkey was pre-cooked. I was told that some Harris Teeter‘s do cook their meals. That needs to be clear on the website.

This place is so classy, and I'm always happy to go there! You know everything will be clean, staff will be nice to you, you will find great selection of pastries/breads and the meat they sell is top quality in this area! With all combined I do understand the prices have to be little bit higher but what I found is Clearance / Sale , expecially on wine you can find anywhere else. Those prices On Sale are still higher than regular price at Walmart or Food Lion on the same product. Still this store look really good , but its not the store you want to do your weekly shopping ! Pizza guy is great! Store is clean, wide isles, and good selection, prices are higher than the other stores in the area. The prices and customer service are why my rating is lower. The abrasive older woman at the self checkout was beyond rude (not only to my husband and me, but also to the elderly man next to us)! I was just going to forget about it and chalk it up to her having a bad day, but when she jump down his throat just because he was organizing his order as he checked out, I change my mind (it seemed racially motivated and there wasn’t even anyone in line behind him). To top it off as my husband was returning our cart to the surly teen in the parking lot he wasn’t acknowledged and give a dismissive hand gesture. I don’t know what’s happened to their customer service.

Big shout out to the bakery dept!! They knocked it out of the park! I wanted a Captain America cake, but due to copyright they couldn't. I understood. The clerk who took my cake order made perfect suggestions to coincide with my wanted request. I picked it up the next day after they called to personally let me know it was ready. I couldn't have been more excited about this cake!! It was chocolate cake with cookies and cream middle, and buttercream icing. Decadent!!!!

First off, it's been a hot minute since I've been in a Harris Teeter. Off the bad, the store is clean, well organized, well stocked, and has awesome staff. It was easy to get in, find everything, and get out. The fresh food options were a delight to see: it looked absolutely fresh. The gas station extension was okay, but not as good as the main store. It worked, but that's about it.

I have now tried the pharmacy and so far they seem good. I have been able to reach them when I needed them and was able to request regular caps instead of child proof. And my prescriptions have been accurate.I love that the store has some of my old favorite Ukrops items too and has some frozen items that I can't get other places.

Very clean grocery store with a great selection to choose from. The parking is easy to navigate and is plentiful. Access from multiple locations of different roads makes getting in and out very easy. Staff was available and helpful when needing assistance. Prices seemed reasonable and on par with other stores in the area. They have a very large selection of beers, wines and alcohol.

I love that they always have everything on my list. Produce is always nicely displayed and fresh. Their checkout is a bit odd and there's always someone who has to squish behind you because of the setup, but otherwise it's nice, since you don't have to load your groceries into a belt yourself. Their prices can be slightly higher than some other grocery stores around town, but I still choose HT because those other stores aren't as big or clean, and tend to be lacking a bit in variety, availability and HT has a nicer produce section than most others.

Except for the meat counter, very good selection. Unfortunately most everything is overpriced. My wife typically drives to Whole Foods in Newport News and gets nearly twice the groceries for the same amount spent here. The cart returns are not the best design, they only face one direction, so make sure you park on an isle they face. Staff is always polite and helpful. Great place to pick up a specific ingredient or harder to find beer.A somewhat nitpick or random grievance I have is that their house made “7 Layer Mexican Bean Dip” is not 7 layers… It’s 5, lacking guacamole and salsa. First time I thought it was a fluke. Bought it again, and no that’s just how they make it. Suppose you could call it “6 Layer Mexican Bean Dip” if you count your disappointment as a layer.

This Harris Teeter is incredible.Great selection of items, very nice and clean. They had everything we were looking for.The workers were exceptional, they were very helpful. The checkout process was very easy, fast, and required no work on my end. I also saved 21 dollars using the Harris Teeter MVP card, which I actually did not have, but the cashier used hers.
