Went in twice while in area and easily and quickly got the items we wanted for two meals we could eat in our hotel room. Chose self checkout as we didn't get much either time not to have leftovers to have to take back home at the end of our stay.

Wasn't bad. Prices are ok. Store was clean for the most part. Seemed to have a lot of employees around. All who were not very helpful or even acknowledged that you were next to them.

I arrived at the foodlion deli at 6:25pm wed 01/03/2024.. I was trying to purchase a lb. Of Turkey. I waited until deli clerk was finished talking to her friend when she headed to the back room, I got her attention and asked about getting Turkey and she said she was closed, I said I thought the deli was opened until 7 o'clock, she said she was by herself and had to clean up still, the whole time acting like I wasn't important enough for her to do her job. Another employee that was standing there then ask me what I wanted and I said I wouldn't eat anything the deli clerk would touch from her actions toward me.I'm not the type of person to try to get anyone into trouble. This type of person should not be handling people's food.I didn't get her name but she closed the deli by herself.Thank you .

Carts of merchandise in aisles that were in the way . Stockers didn't move . Horrible idea and really bad time of day . Pallets of stock blocking items and un-shoppable while store is open and during lunch time. Unacceptable and unsafe!!

Several times when traveling to Williamsburg Virginia with family. We stopped at Food Lion to buy groceries and foods. Nice clean store with a great selection of products!

Food Lion is your place to go when you just need those staples to get by until payday or just need something for that evening for dinner. You can count on them to have dinner ready to go such as a rotisserie chicken and Hawaiian rolls!

My cart was full of heavy bulky items, cases of water,soap powders and toilet paper among other things. 2 employees up front talking with backs to registers. Only self check outs had lights on. I waited until they turned around , but before I could speak I was told with a hand gesture "only the self check outs are open." This lady looked like maybe the manager n she turned back around. The other young lady stepped closed to me, I told her I had this cart full of these large items and would have to put them back because its too hard and cumbersome for me to try to do the self check out alone. She was kind enough to do it, but the other lady took off so as not to come in contact with me as I left. From the beginning she seemed uninterested in helping me at all Do these people realize the custimer satisfaction keeps them in jobs? I like give business to the old grocery stores in town, but meeting with this makes the higher end stores look even more appealing.

I would have given this food lion 5 stars but I was waiting in line at the deli to pick up my daughter's birthday cake when an employee walked up and asked the man in front of me if he needed help. He responded that he was already being helped, but this lady (me) was waiting to be helped. The employee continued into the back, came back out, and never attempted to help me. The employee who helped the man did help me when she was finished helping him and was very kind and helpful.

Happy to find Food Lion. I've visited the store in Kentucky and Virginia. It's my go to place when I travel. Don't have any locally. Layout was very similar and I had no problem finding anything. Clean and welcoming service.

Food was very good. Liver and Onions were very tender, Pork Chops were very tasty, and Chicken Wingetts were delicious. The candied yams/sweet potatoes were really good too. Customer service was excellent. Everyone is friendly and caring ensuring that you are pleased with your meal.Things were so good that I went there twice within a 3-day span.

Good lion typically has high pricing. This one isn't too bad. It's better than any other Food Lion I've been into. It's clean. The staff is really nice, and helpful. I live the nighttime cashier, I wish I knew her name, she's usually working when I go in. Very personable, and memorable. I have to admit I really like this store. This is the only Food Lion that I enjoy going into.

Rachel in the meat department was patient and extremely helpful despite the store experiencing a power surge and machines not functioning normally. Employees were patiently dealing with frustrated customers. Kudos to the team! I hope management recognizes theie extra efforts.

I absolutely love this store. My son had a birthday and one of the employees went to the bakery and brought him back a bag of cookies. A couple isles down the district managers were doing a walk through. My son told one of the lady's that it was his birthday and she went to the bakery and brought him back a cupcake. Then, we were on our way to check out and the manager went over the intercom and told my son happy birthday. Now, that's a great neighborhood grocery store. It made my son's day.

The debit and credit processing system was down and employees didn't make that clear at all. We stood in line for a good 15 minutes u til the cashier told us cash only, so we got in another line and waited another 10 minutes only to be told cash only and to get in a self checkout line. We waited another 10 minutes and 2 people cut the line as the line was not clearly defined. When we finally went to pay, our credit card wouldn't go through. That processing system was down, too. We ultimately had to frantically get cash and pay that way. So frustrating!

I feel like the biggest downfall with that particular store is that it's just rundown and in need of remodeling. Even though relatively clean it still looked kinda dingy. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I couldn't ask for more from the employees. They are always on point. I would say selections are o.k.,not great. There is room for improvement in that area. Overall good place to shop...I will continue to shop there. I just don't feel like it's worthy of a 5 star rating at this time.
