We enjoyed the large selection today at this spacious Columbia Factory Store located at Williamsburg Premium Outlets. The variety of merchandise offered here was amazing, and I appreciated the special discounts being offered. One ongoing discount was for active duty military and veterans, and I am thankful to have saved an extra 10 percent on my purchase there today!

Nice selection of outdoor wear. Staff was too preoccupied with stocking to help customers.

I always find great deals at this store! I live in Pittsburgh but visit family in Newport News a couple times a year. Every summer I go to Columbia to stock up for the cold winter ahead in the Burgh. Their products are classic and good quality.

Decent deals on what sizes / styles were left available on Saturday after Thanksgiving. On this particular Saturday afternoon, they had a young man at the front door counting people entering and exiting who was extremely rude to multiple customers entering. He would stop people from entering with a hand gesture and not even look at them, then wave them in immediately after he had stopped them, even though no on had exited. I watched him do this to multiple people without ever looking at anyone. It was obvious he was on a power trip or playing a game. It was enough that I didn't spend any $$ there and caused the 3 star rating.

I had a frustrating interaction with the register personnel. I asked about the healthcare discount, which I have received before. The female employee asked me for identification. I did not have any and asked if I could show my work e-mail. I showed her my work e-mail and she questioned my place of employment. I explained to her my place of employment. She asked what my job title was, and I told her, Certified Athletic Trainer. She stated that I had to work for the hospital, be a physician, nurse, first responder, or something along those lines. I educated her that I am a first responder. She proceeded to say that I was not and that my profession did not qualify.I called the store manager, and she supported her employees' response. I proceeded to educate that a Certified Athletic Trainer is a first responder and she stated that this decision was at cooperate level. She gave me the customer service number and said I could take it up with them. I contacted customer service. They said they utilize ID.me and said it was based on the individual store's policy.. It appears the store manager and customer service representative were playing the blame game.Regardless, I am incredibly frustrated and offended that Columbia does not recognize Certified Athletic Trainers as first responders. You can google the term Athletic Trainer and see that we are first responders in the definition. We are CPR and first-aid certified at the professional rescuer level. We have a bachelors/master's level medical degree. We are employed through various employers some of which do include hospitals. Colleges and companies have Athletic Trainers listed as first responders in their Emergency Action Plan. I would really consider that Columbia Sportswear recognize Certified Athletic Trainers as the first responders that we are.

If you're planning to spend $80 on a jacket for all weather, stop here instead and buy it for $40. Sure, merchandise made for outlets isn't always the same as the other, but it's usually about the same at a much lower price. And this store has so much along those lines-- all the usual outdoor and active wear much cheaper.

Great deals on good products. I can regularly find polos for $20 and they're better looking and more comfortable than UnderArmour. They have a lot of stuff, from winter coats to t-shirts. The staff is helpful and friendly too.

I'm always amazed at two things when I visit Columbia. The top notch quality of their merchandise and the super value of their pricing. I've been a fan of Columbia gear ever since the first real winter coat I purchased while living in Alaska. Their sandals and trail shoes have not let me down either. Staff here is always very eager to help.

I want start by saying this negativity is not torward Columbia and their brand but this store in particular. We love columbia, almost all our clothes are columbia including the masks me and my wife wear. We have been to this outlet store a few times over the past few years as well as several more, we buy something from a columbia store at least once a month. This store however has the worst employees I've encountered at almost any retail store anywhere. It has more to do with the experience checking out then anything else. They will be polite and help you find what you are looking for but when it comes to ring things up it is a pain and a hassle everytime. This is the only columbia store to deny me a student discount because my college ID is also my employee ID as I work for the college I am attaining my masters at. They refuse to combine the 20$ cash voucher with any discounts whether its student, my wife's millitary discount or her medical worker discount. The cashier today sighed very loudly when we asked to split the order to use our cash voucher and discount on the rest after he decided he was going to refuse to even scan the voucher. This wasn't even a few items either. They just about lost a couple hundred dollars in sales today and honestly this store has atleast lost our business for quite a while. There are plenty of other Columbia stores around some less than an hour away let alone the 5 hours we drive to visit this area a few times a year. This store needs to heavily invest in customer service training, quit hiring students that don't care about their job, and start honoring student ID's from usinversities out of state. I'm not driving all this way to lie about a student ID to get a discount... Want decent shoes? take your business to Merrel its a better deal and shoe brand anyway if you get vibram bottoms. Out door clothing? while I love columbia, I suggest going to a columbia in VA beach instead of this store.

Got a long coat with their Omni-heat technology inside the coat. Paid around 80 instead of 100 with a student discount plus a 10% off due to the zipper is not zipping well. The employee is very nice who helped me check if there are any inventory of that coat before he told me they didn’t have any and gave me the 10% off. He also ask me if I’m a student voluntarily, which is why I get that student discount as well.Unfortunately I have to take one star off because the Omni-heat technology of my coat doesn’t work well. I still felt cold and the wind will still comes in to my body. It’s more like a waterproof coat but I still like it, just can’t expect to feel warm by wearing this during super low weather.

I really felt some of the actions and responses from the employees were not friendly at all and I was treated differently because I was african American. All the workers disappeared from the register once we got in line but before that they were standing talking. I asked the cashier about combining my military discount & VIP discount and she said no. I asked why is this store different from the other ones who honor both and she replied we dont do it and seemed like she was becoming very irritated with us. I asked for the Norfolk outlet # so I can verify this, I called them and she walked away to do other things as if we are waisting her time. The norfolk store did say that they honor both and have never been told otherwise. I informed the cashier who was whispering over to her manager about us. Then she replied that her manager also said no we dont do it, doesnt matter if it's a mall coupon, rewards member coupon we will not do it. She seemed to be bothered that we were questioning her I even placed the call on speaker for her to hear the cashier at the other store. I had a terrible experience and felt that if I was white they would have went all out of their way to make for sure they were happy. I thought customers were always right. Military given no respect for their service. I will never go back there or recommend that privileged store that only caters to a select few.

Good deals here, and Columbia Quality is well known. I bought a nice rain jacket there, and am still wearing it. Helpful on trip, as we had 3 days of rain.

This place is like a candy store for me, lots of cool stuff. The check out clerks always seem like they're annoyed that they actually have to check you out. Some customer service training would be advised.

Terrible experience. The cashier Briana had a very nasty attitude while we were being extremely polite. Wished her a happy easter and didn’t even get that in return.

Always have good deals! I wish the zippers on their products were a little better quality, but the clothing itself does the job!

Premium Outlets were overall disappointing this year, with the exception of Columbia. Always seem to find decent quality, decent prices and a good selection.
