When we were visiting Williamsburg we stopped by this thrift store. Things were well organized and fair prices. They are even better on Tuesdays with 25% off everything.

Visit this store often, till prices have gone threw the roof a used adidas T-shirts $19.99 you've got to be joking smh,anyhow so other day went in and in glass cabinet upfront they had 2 items I purchased they were taped up BIG TIME ,and asked clerk if we could open be4 purchase she said if there taped up like that means they been looked over and have all pieces (should have open it) one item was a design art kit (missing the pen) unablr to load the software without it, so that's was 29.00 down the drain ,2nd itrm was a new Bosch finish brad nailer samr thing in black box taped up (someone unscrewed the gun and removed all the inner workings, so that one too is a waste , $60 dollars thrown away on some trash not happy with them and there prices lost my business

Decent thrift store. Lots of clothes for grown woman and men and toddlers. However not many clothes for young boys around 10 years old or so. Kinda seems like there just isn't much offered for kids in general.

You have to be super careful with pricing at this location. Right now they have items like plastic saving units and foot lockers that they have priced the same as the brand new options at Home Depot and Walmart. This is definitely the MO for this location and hopefully their poor management doesn't reflect on all the other CHKD locations. For example, the Newport News location prices their used items accordingly and don't try and take advantage of people.

Some good finds but some things are just ridiculously priced! I can buy this same pot brand new elsewhere at a cheaper price. What a joke!

Very organized and quality items. The store is clean and well kept. Items are taped together and marked. Discount for seniors on Thursday. Staff are very helpful and kind. Beautiful items on display behind the counter be sure to check it out. I am petite, friend is large, sister in law is large we all found dresses of good quality. Monies go to children’s charities. Good cause as don’t mind paying for quality items. Found Fiesta Ware item. Highly recommend this shop.

They will not allow you to try on clothes (They say you can, but they provide no dressing room) and you cannot return something that you buy. So you're out the money on anything that doesn't fit because of the no return policy. When asked about the policy, the lady behind the counter said, "This is a America."

I saw something that I wanted to purchase but figured I couldn’t because it was blocked off, I looked up, saw this sign, followed instructions, asked an associate for help, then was told things behind are not for sale, to which I pointed out the sign, the lady read “not for sale”. I was a bit confused because I wondered if I had read the sign wrong so I looked at it embarrassed but I didn’t, it does say things are available. “Furniture items behind yellow chain are for sale. Please ask an associate for help.” She asked someone else who was back there stating Antoinette isn’t here, the person in the back responded things aren’t for sale behind the line. Which is okay, but to avoid awkwardnees, the sign should probably be updated.

Table on the floor didn’t have a price so I walked it to the front counter. Nearby customer stated she asked the manager for the price and she stated $80.Same manager or whoever comes up and tells me it’s $100. This is poor business practice. This person needs serious training. 1:41PM on 08/02.Also, I frequent CHKD often enough to know protocol. Makes me second guess returning to this particular one.

Staff extremely rude. I went to drop off two items at 5:15 pm and was told that CHKD Thrift Store does not accept donations after 5 pm, but the store closes at 6 pm. No signage to indicate this. There is a better way to communicate information to the community than expecting folks to intuit information and to be satisfied with poor customer service.

Really good selection at this one. Tons of great clothes for the whole family. Lots of great home goods and even a few furniture pieces that have made it in our home. I love the thrill of a perfect find and this location never disappoints. Shout out to the staff too. Hands down the friendliest location I have been in.

Prices are significantly higher here than at other CHKD Stores I’ve been to. Several things I found were priced in very confusing ways (smaller ceramics being priced higher than larger ones). Then, after digging for over an hour, when I thought I had found some new treasures to take home, I was told at the register that the prices were incorrect and that I would not be able to purchase my finds. I was heartbroken…the ladies at the register (who even claimed to be a manager) wouldn’t even call someone in order to get a new price. This is not how they run other CHKD stores…only reason this review is 2 stars is that the store has a large selection of clothing, so if you’re looking for outfits this is a good place to go.

The selection here is pretty good, a little bit bigger than our local thrift stores but not quite as large as say a Goodwill. I found a few things here and there that are worth buying. It's definitely worth taking a look if you're down here.

Little bit of everything including furniture. The selection was good but a few things were a little high but Tuesday is 25% off of everything for everyone so that helps. Spent over $100 getting essentials to set up a house.

I'm so glad that this Thrift store is here. I missed it when it was closed. Thank you to those who donate! Thank you to the workers! Thank you to those who buy. I'm also glad that the money can help the children!! This last time that I went, it looked like donations were down a little. So, people, please remember, don't throw away things that others might want. It only adds to the landfills and this raises money for a great cause.

I went to donate books and was placing them in the donation bins when an employee came out and was very rude to me. I was unaware that they didn't want loose books in the bin, but instead of nicely informing me of that she snaps "we don't put loose things in bins" points at some boxes in the corner and instructs me to use those, and leaves. I took the rest of my books to a different thrift store.

I was appalled at the fact that when I asked the price of an item I was quoted 3 something from the cashier. Walked around the store and when I came back a new cashier told me 5 something after the cashier I spoke with went to lunch. If you are going to purchase something you better get it when the price is quoted. Buyer beware!

Went in to find a simple desk lamp . Don't always need new and fancy if the cat is probably going to bump in to it . Found it and a couple other items . Saw a nice table to think about . Often see the same cashier and He is always cheerful even at closing time .

Pretty average thrift store. Prices trending upward, not quite as high as Goodwill yet. Variety of items but not well kept. The store actually closed an hour earlier than usual the day I visited.

Employee with her mask halfway down under her nose, singled me out for wearing a shield mask instead of cloth mask. Not only I felt uncomfortable because she wasn’t discreet about it but also the rest of the customers around us and the cashier. How can someone enforce a policy they don’t follow themselves?

Tuesdays are 25% off. Some days there's more of a selection than others. I find that the quality and brands are nicer than some other local thrift stores. I like that it's a larger store and a little bit more spread out.

Please update your return policy on the receipt. It says clothing returns can be made within 7 days. This should be removed from the receipt. Since you are not accepting returns. Oh,and by the way Walmart, Target and TJ Max to name a few accept returns.

Sometimes there is a pretty good junk. All thrift store are over pricing used furniture.Better mission than good will for sure
