I've shopped at the Backyard Birder since it opened in the Quarterpath Shopping Center. The staff of this locally owned and operated shop is always friendly and helpful. Although small in size, you can find a wide variety of interesting bird-related products. I've purchased food, feeders, birdbaths, a trellis and other items over the years and have been very happy with the quality of these products. Highly recommend this shop. They also have a very generous loyalty program.

Every time we visit Williamsburg, I try and stop in for the nutri-safflower our little birds can't get enough of. Although their store is small it is packed with a surplus of goodies for the wildlife and wildlife lovers.

I'll admit, I was not very knowledgeable about birds but I was interested in learning and finding a great pair of binoculars to view birds with. The owner, Melinda, was extremely helpful and understood her product. As an optometrist, this was impressive and I am very pleased with my purchase! As an added bonus, she offers her rewards program at no extra cost! Thank you, again in guiding me thru my new hobby. Wish you continued success.

What a Great Store. I am on Vacation from Canada and wanted to learn more about all the beautiful birds in the area. Not only did I get a great education and buying high quality seed, I also went for a Bird walk with the local Birdwatching group in Williamsburg today. Highly recommend to drop in. Thank you.

Very disappointing to be polite.Bought a faux log bird feeder with suet after enthusiastic recommendations from sales person. No bird species in my country home backyard will touch it.Also bought 'squirrel resistant' birdseed log. Only one small bird species will eat it.The frosting on all this is that sales staff will not answer phone. I know this because I've tried multiple days. I've even driven to the store, to find the sales person all alone, yet telling me she doesn't have time to check phone msgs because the store has been 'crazy busy.'Save your money, go to Walmart.

One simple pleasure during the COVID-19 outbreak here, in WJCC, and the concerns surrounding community spread, has been to enjoy the variety of bird species in our community. I appreciate the owners and staff at Backyard Birder for ensuring safe, contactless purchases. When you enter the shop, you immediately understand the high quality feeders, homes, and feed. The suet is always a big hit with the birds. The hummingbird food and the flavor saver is drawing so many hummingbirds we had to buy a second feeder.
