After having a terrible experience at my usual groomer wherein my dog was choked so hard that she gagged for days, I started to look for another groomer but soon found out that every groomer in my area was booked solid. I decided to look outside my area and found Sensational Canines. I was so pleasantly surprised at the ease of the whole process. My dog was ready in a little over an hour, looking very clean and beautifully groomed. She wasn’t stressed at all. I can’t say enough good things about this place. This groomer is my go to from now on. DC area people: this groomer is worth the beautiful drive.

have an elderly but still rowdy standard poodle w some grooming obstacles, a long skin tag, a bee sting on one eyelid, a bit smelly due to incontinence, two yrs of owner groomg due to covid, matted feet due to fact i'm recovering from a fracture; in other words, a mess. in less than 2 hours i had a clean, beautiful dog, looked like somebody else's dog! she hadn't taken any of the treats i left for her, but she clearly liked/trusted lauren who is personable as well as skilled. don't be put off by brief time on the country road, it's the first right hand turn after the mailbox (two houses). you can't do better for your dog. price abt equal to pet store in winchester and an hour less wait time for me, no sitting in front of a fan after bath for dog like so many places. a long time finding perfect groomer since leaving florida but now, problem solved.
