I can not speak more highly of Janet and the staff at King William Pet Resort and Spa. Everyone is so friendly and genuinely caring. This has become Ivy’s home away from home. She loves it there and it puts my mind at ease knowing she is well cared for. She gets so excited when we arrive. I know if she was not happy and well cared for she wouldn’t be so happy to see everyone. Thank you all for all you do and your kindness. Ivy and I appreciate you all. ❤️

Don’t be fooled by the positive reviews- this business includes a “non-disparagement clause” in their initial contract. Thanks to The Consumer Review Fairness Act, this actually nullifies the contract, but a lot of people don’t realize that.We booked our two large breed dogs for 2 non consecutive weeks in July. The first week we dropped them off and heard nothing from the business, so we assumed everything was good. We picked them up, and they reeked of urine. Not just your typical kennel smell, but they smelled like they’d be laying in their own urine. We went ahead and found a new place, and called to cancel the second week. It was only then that we were told the truth. Our German shepherd barks and spins in a kennel environment. Due to the owner and staff not understanding dog behavior, they deemed both dogs “vicious” (who even uses that description anymore?!). They admitted they only cleaned the interior of the kennel when they could, due to their fear of the dogs. They also admitted the dogs soiled their blankets and on the last few days they couldn’t get the blankets out. They obviously closed them into the interior for long periods of time because they are large dogs with large bladders, and they wouldn’t typically urinate inside.The worst part of all of this was the fact that there was ZERO communication. They labeled our poor dogs as vicious and then chose to neglect them without saying a word. And they were going to do it again if we hadn’t found another place! The excuse at first was the ASSUMPTION that we wouldn’t be able to come back and get them. The next was the ASSUMPTION that we “knew our dogs were like this” and that we intended to leave them with “vicious” dogs. They continually blamed my poor dogs for the intentional neglect. They are totally incompetent and cruel. Do not board your babies here. Full disclosure they did refund our money, but it doesn’t do anything to make up for what my dogs went through.

If my pet could rate them it would be a 5!If you're looking for someone professional and down to earth to take care of your pets these are the people to call.I had my cat shaved by James and he was so patient and kind. These people care about animals and they're very good at what they do !

We love this location to board our Brittany. He has plenty of play time and the staff treats him like family They are very accomodating and go out of their way to make it a fun stay.

They were wonderful. Prices reasonable. They kept my dogs together and my cats together. My animals usually come home from boarding anxious. They were very calm, bathed, and well taken care of. Will definitely use them again.

Janet always takes great care of my mothers two dogs, they always come home with a beautifully shaved coat and little bows on their collars. Their boarding services are affordable and Janet makes sure to keep your dog safe and honors owners wishes at all times.

My pup goes to doggie day care there a couple days a week and he loves it. It's not fancy and there is not a social calendar of planned events but the people are kind to him and he is always happy to see them. He gets lots of play time with other dogs and comes home tired and ready to relax.

Wouldn’t recommend... boarded my dog for a week and she lost 5 pounds. Not only did she lose weight but after being recommended to bring her personal bed... it was torn up and peed on by OTHER dogs. She ALSO came back with kennel cough. Even though your dog may be vaccinated, like mine, there are different strains that they can still get. Will not be returning.

Horrible, HACKS.After my recent move, I had to find a new groomer.I set up a grooming apt and showed up for it only to find they had put me down for boarding, so groomer wasn't even there.So made another apt for next week. When we showed up, we asked for both doodles to be groomed down to about 1".I knew I was in trouble when they called in 2 hours to say BOTH girls were ready...something that took the REAL Groomers ("Good Dog" in Richmond) 4 to 5 hours to PROPERLY do.We showed up and were horrified to find they were literally SHAVED down, unevenly to the skin in patchy areas..with cuts and scrapes and razor burns ALL OVER! (I HAVE PICS IF ANYONE WANTS TO SEE WHY I AM SO UPSET).Not only did they not properly clip cut this breed, they didn't brush blow their hair.. didn't even appear to have brushed their heads or tails (the only place they were not shaved).They left all hair in between their pads and in their ears...HORRIBLE..THEY HAVE SOME NERVE CALLING THEMSELVES GROOMERS, THEY HAVE NO CLUE.
