As far as service and setup awesome work. Signal strength is great. However here is the reason for only three stars. They said a subcontractor comes out in two weeks to bury a cable they laid out to my house. Three weeks go by and I call. Lady said she’ll send an email for them to call me and set up a time for them to come out and bury the cable. Here we are another two weeks and no call from anyone. So I had to bury it so I could do my projects and maintain my yard.

Darrel and Kevin came out to diagnose and fix our Internet and phone connection. They arrived promptly after I called for help, within 30 minutes or so. They were not only courteous, but they were fast and efficient in diagnosing and fixing the issue. The gentleman I spoke with on the phone who did the initial support was very polite and courteous as well. Thank you Lumos for being awesome!

We have had wonderful service, always stable at the speed we are paying for. Last night our internet stopped working. Within 30 minutes of calling in to get technical support Darrel arrived. He was very helpful and respectful. Even took off his shoes to not track snow into the house. I leaned alot about the tech at our home and he showed me how it all worked as he made the repair. He had all he needed to make the repair and was done within 30 minutes.

I’ve been a Lumos customer for years and their customer service is the best! I have been so happy with my TV and WiFi services and anytime I’ve called to report an issue their customer service reps answer quickly and are so helpful, walking me through the process. When a tech comes to the house, they’ve always been so kind, professional, and hard-working. Thank you, Lumos!

We were set up on the $90/month plan. We wanted to drop down to a lower cost plan. We've contacted them 3 times and were told each time that we would be switched to the lower cost plan and for the last 3 months we have been charged $90. The customer service stinks! Looking at Xfinity.

Very tricky company. I am always paperless meaning no paper billing. Then one day it went back to non- paperless for no reason. To receive a paper billing they charge $4.00 monthly. I have never received a paper bill. So I called the operator and she said that's how they operated. Just imagine they have millions of customers and each being charge 4.00 extra and doesn't know it. Just think of the money they make on you. If they charge you, at least sent the paper billing, but no, they don't do that either. Sneaky company. Someone should file a class action Suit on these crocks . Watch your bill.

Worst connectivity issues I've ever had with any provider ever. Service comes and goes multiple times throughout the day and won't come back up for hours. Worst mistake I ever made was thinking they would be anywhere as close to as good as Firefly.

My daughter and I share an account together, last week we were looking at our bill trying to figure how to cut costs. I spoke to Jasmine in the call center. She gave my sister and I the best experience. She is wonderful and knowledgeable. She is great personality for this place!

Waited a week for my appointment. Dealt with two delays. Ended up waiting roughly 28 days. Technicians finally show up. Tell me that I should have a white box that they can't find and would have to call their supervisor. They leave and I get a call saying they would have to consult with engineers and reschedule.Time of travel excluded I was able to get Xfinity internet up and running by myself with their box. I was able to complete the set up from start to finish in around 30 minutes. Prices are comparable.

We are very disgusted with Lumos. The first time I called they offered me the $59.99 plan, then when we made the installation and we were supposed to pay the bill we saw they were charging the $69.99 but they told us it will be better so we paid. Then the next month they didn't sent the bill and when I signed in to their page they reduced from day 26 to day 21, It's 5 days you are loosing service and paying more. Now this month we have to pay on April 19... Sooo EARLY. I don't know how many days they think the month has.Also we are having problems with the service, the first month it was awesome but next it became horrible. The plan says: Up to 15 devises and we can't even have our 2 phones and our video game without suffering cuts and slow service. What they responded to me was: try to connect more devises on your router...We pay $91 per month, were not rich people, we needed the wifi and they just say that they secure 850 of 1000 Mbps. That's not even fair, because they didn't say that when your asking for their plan information.

Download/upload speeds are fantastic, employees are awesome and polite great pricing structure. Unfortunately that’s about where it ends. Seems the video streaming is heavily throttled, as others have mentioned. My job heavily uses video streaming regularly, Constant dropped calls in google meet/zoom make my job almost unworkable. Any sort of video streaming service buffers heavily. I was excited to get away from xfinity, It seems I will have to make it the switch back sooner rather than later to xfinity, as much as I don’t want to.

I started my service with lumos in 2020 because of DirecTV messing with my channels, canceling channels that I watch it's not about what they offer it's what I'm paying for and what I expect same goes with lumos they did an update last week and removed one of the apps from off of their playlist I called customer service they said there was no guarantee that would play or load so I said there's no guarantee that you're going to get $214 out of me each month so I cancel my subscription. Kept the internet bought a fire stick in my bill went down to $55 a month and have more channels and more options and the stuff that I want.

Scam! They falsely advertise. The prices they lists on their website are not what you're going to pay and they have very poor customer service! It's worse than talking to an insurance agent! As soon as you select the package you want from at their listed prices they call you and tell you that you have to buy additional equipment so the price listed isn't what toyou end up paying. If you ask them to tell you what the price will be they won't give you a number. The woman I spoke to on the phone refused to give me a price range. If you can't get a number before buying that sounds suspicious.

I have been a Lumos customer since 2019 and I cannot say enough about their awesome customer service! Everytime I have an issue, it's either resolved over the phone at that moment or within 24 hours. Every rep. Is courteous, respectful and often has me laughing and joking by the end of the the phone call. Thank you for the great service Lumos!

This internet service is the worst. If you can avoid it, do it! We bought our own router, but it was more than enough for what two people would need. I couldn't hold zoom calls or keep wifi on my cellphone. Soon we couldn't even stream without multiple disruptions. We thought it was our router so we switched to an Ethernet cable and it got even worse! For what we pay monthly we expect better and we are stuck with it since it is required by our HOA. We're convinced they'd be out of business if it wasn't required in certain areas. As soon as we move, we are dropping this inconsistent provider forever. Nothing against the people there, just a bad service experience overall.

Hard to understand the negative reviews from this store in Waynesboro. Just moved here and went to the store. They explained our options and we picked a date to have our options installed. This was a new install. We received a phone call 24 hours out about the install. The technicians showed up on the appointed day and executed the install. The technicians were contractors but a Lumos technician was on site monitoring them the entire time. So far, no issues at all. Internet speed is as requested and the cable channels I ordered are crystal clear. Have not received my first bill yet but will update later if there are any issues. For the stated price, this appears to be a better deal that Comcast or any other cable provider in town. Plus, no contract or a price jump after one or two years.

When I got home at 1:30 PM Friday November 17 I found our internet and cable were out. After trying some quick fixes without success I called Lumos. Their tech person tried to help me over the phone and when that wasn't working Margret put in a repair order for our house. A few minutes after the phone call the cable started working. I called Lumos back and told them I didn't need the technician to stop by at 4 PM. A few minutes after 3 PM their tech called me in person to tell me he was on site. Even though the problem was solved he came in and check our system. He decided we needed a newer main box, at no charge. He installed the equipment and re set our system.I can't say how impressed I was with their service and the friendly attitude of everyone that helped me with this problem. Thank You Lumos. It's nice to find a cable company that actually cares about its customers.

Too expensive and doesn’t offer AMC. Canceled after 6days if service and charge 80$ for install and $60 for 6 days of service. Got Xfinity - no charge for install and pay 1/2 monthly fee with updated equipment and better channel selection. Would not recommend.

Not yet a customer. What needs to be installed? Doesn't the signal travel through the air to my house? If my smartphone was mbps (speed) instead of bandwidth, I wouldn't be researching. Used up the 35 gigs in 2/3 of the month. Now I'm throttled down. I'm concerned about the hidden fees. 39.99 + 10.00 for one device + 3.00 for each additional device. Come on. I have 4 devices that want wifi. Phone, computer, printer, Tv. Thanks in advance.

The two young men that came to put my internet in were fabulous. They asked permission before doing anything different than I thought they were going to do. Bless their hearts, they even worked part of the time out in the rain. The one young man explained the equipment that he put in which was so nice. Those two guys were so polite. We were customers here for eight years. The service was mostly reliable, but the customer service was terrible. They are only open 9 to 5 Monday through Friday. Recently our Internet and cable went out on a Saturday morning and we missed the Super Bowl on Sunday. Despite multiple calls we only received a return message that Monday afternoon and that was to set up a time sometime that week for a technician to come out. Their online payment system is hard to use. Most of the employees we dealt with over the years were condescending and dismissive

I'm amazed at how bad the reviews are on here. We have had LUMOS TV and internet for 3 years now. It's definitely more expensive but it's also worth it. Fastest internet speed we have ever had.The customer service has been top notch as well. I believe we had the same guy come install and reinstall our service after we moved and he was very friendly and professional. We were told he would be here between 9 and noon and he was 15 minutes early! He was fast, knowledgeable, and efficient.

I've been waiting forever for them to be competitive in pricing with Comcast. Sadly, they simply aren't. Like a lot of people now-a-days, I only desire broadband, and they charge you extra if you only carry one service. The best part of having a local fiber ISP in this situation is to leverage their presence with the competitor for better pricing.

Best ISP I have ever had. Stuck with Comcast and their frequent outages now. Lumos service went out ONCE in a year period for less than an hour. Please expand more in Lynchburg! Free me from Comcast!

Cable portion freezes after 5 seconds. Tried calling twice. Went on hold for 5 minutes and then loud static. Can't even report the problem much less get it fixed. Very sorry organization.

Lumos offers a great network option for internet and television service, which includes ethernet directly to your home if you are so lucky. This means no modem as you have with cable service. No speed or buffering issues.Until recently I have be pleased with their service, except for their hardware reliability. They have now developed a "streaming system" that provides all of the digital channels available on their system - as well as network apps that you have to use your computer, etc. All directly on any of you devices. All you need is a direct ethernet access in your home and the Amazon 4K fire stick. No DVR or set top boxes. Recording is done on a cloud. Great picture and quick response. No more hardware issues. It is so much better than cable and similar to satellite service without atmospheric issues. I gambled and am very pleased.
