There’s a reason this pharmacy has an average of one star and I’m sure if zero stars were possible they would be at 0.5. My wife realized she was down to two blood pressure pills. She has those on auto refill at this CVS so she called wondering why She hadn’t been notified to pick up the next 90 day prescription . She was told that they didn’t have that prescription in stock but they could try to order it. I guess I’m wondering if you are a provider of needed medicine and the auto fill triggers you to fill it but you don’t have it why wouldn’t you order it then rather than wait for the patient to QU to order. I moved all my prescriptions away from this drugstore months ago, because not that they didn’t fill them. It’s that I never even knew when they would be open. I just can’t say enough bad things so I’ll end it here and use this pharmacy at your own risk.

Pd.11.99 and got the second one at half off for a well-known brand of candy. It was old got reimbursement for the the half priced item as it was unopened box. People not very customer service oriented as far as smiling and greeting. Nor very hopeful on original visit either. Fairly new in area had not shopped there before. May try another one. Would not have gone if I had seen the reviews previously.

I've been using this CVS store and pharmacy for several months and have always had good experiences. Helpful staff and timely prescriptions filled.

Very helpful staff and very efficient. I’m thankful the store is staffed with friendly, warm greetings. Pharmacy could use more help. They are too busy and could use the help. Regardless of lack of staff, each experience was 5 stars.

The phone tree at this pharmacy is ridiculous. I know it’s a corporate thing; but there is no way to talk to a real person on the phone. They need to hire more staff. CVS owns Aetna and my retiree insurance is Aetna. I’m pretty much stuck.😟

I was recently seen at Urgent Care for a respiratory illness. The nurse practitioner there called in 2 prescriptions for me at this CVS. Later that morning I called CVS to ask when they would be ready. I was told "around lunchtime" and that they would text me when they were ready. I waited all day and finally called again around 4:30.I waited on hold for about 20 minutes. Finally a woman answered, I assume it was the pharmacist. When I asked when the prescriptions would be ready she replied " when I get around to it, I'm short staffed". I feel that her attitude and rudeness were uncalled for. If this is how she treats customers perhaps she needs another line of work away from the public! It is now the next day and I still haven't heard anything from them.I have had problems before getting prescriptions filled on time but never with this rudeness. The rest of the employees in the store have always been friendly and helpful. But the pharmacy needs a makeover. Don't go there if you can help it!

This CVS is staffed by the nicest, most helpful and knowledgeable staff possible. I believe we should always give credit where it is due. That being said, as I write this review I am in my 37 th minute of listening to hold music and can’t seem to get issues with two of my prescription refills resolved.Shame on the CVS powers that be for the awful, very frustrating phone wait times and the excuse of them being short staffed doesn’t fly in my opinion. HIRE MORE STAFF!!

Oh boy, I bought an A1c test at this CVS back about four months ago that was defective. When I bought the next one two months ago I let the guy at the counter know about it and he very politely told me if this new test was defective then to bring back the box and the receipt for a refund. Guess what, it was defective too. So you guessed it, I kept my receipt and box in my car until I had the time to stop by. That time was tonight and boy oh boy was it the worst case of customer service I have ever seen, let alone experienced. The lady being the counter actually laughed at me, scoffed several times, and kept saying how she was “just so confused” and how she “just really didn’t understand” why I thought I could bring back an empty box for a return. I wish I could adequately describe her attitude with me and her bantering. She called for the manager and when I told them what the man said a couple months prior, they questioned me like I was lying to them. They said no man like that worked there. They called another manager on the phone and came back to say they couldn’t help me unless the meter was in the box. (I was holding Karen back, she never comes out but she was showing signs of popping so) I then explained that an A1c tests your blood and it would be unsanitary and dangerous for anyone to bring that biomedical waste back to the stores. It’s also disposable and far long ago in the trash. They didn’t care and the lady continued to scoff. I got a backhanded apology from the “Manager” and she added that if I found the meter to just bring it back. I took my empty box and receipt and left. I tell ya, not getting the $50 refund was unfortunate, but the way the cashier reacted was completely unacceptable. And trust me, I’ve got a pretty funny sense of humor and she wasn’t playing around, she was just being rude. I just guess I don’t understand what was so funny and confusing. I’ll never go back there, and seeing their star rating, I can see why. I’d welcome a conversation with anyone from their management team.

Last evening 10/9/2023, I went to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription that was called in earlier and discovered the pharmacy closed prior to their posted closing time. I went in at 6:20pm. This is unprofessional and is not looking out for the priority of their customers and their prescriptions needs. Unfortunately, this is not the first time and overall experience has gone downhill at this location since COVID. Will be switching pharmacies now-they had enough time to get their act back together to assist the needs of the community.

The pharmacy has very rude staff and the drive through is never open. Every time I come try to pick my prescriptions up it is never ready on time and they claim it’s because they are “short staffed”.

I don't think they check their phones. My doc sent two orders for me and they claimed they never got it. They didn't even check their voice-mail for missed scripts. I went to a more helpful cvs. They were playing with my life for not checking their voice-mail.

This is getting ridiculous. Had a prescription "in processing" for 7 days. Every time we went by the pharmacy was closed. Currently taking half doses to make it stretch. Can't have another pharmacy fill it because CVS has already told the insurance company that it was filled! This location has major staffing issues. They already have reduced hours and you never know when they'll be open. If you can't staff it, close it and move the staff to other CVS locations in town. Maybe if you consolidate into one store, there will be adequate staffing. This is only the current issue. There have been multiple issues trying to get meds or vaccines.

Terrible service and never have anything ready when they say it’ll be ready, or can’t get meds until following day. Go to Augusta health pharmacy now!

Rude is the only word to describe staff at this cvs. I do everything I can to avoid using them unfortunately when I'm in town I have to go there.

I wasn't going to write a review, but this experience was the worst I've had in a while. I do realize at this point, negative reviews are just white noise. The wait times, the rude staff, etc. Hopefully with enough 1 Star reviews someone in the W Main St CVS will get the hint. This time, after the long wait of course, they handed us two prescriptions and silly us walked out of the store thinking that the pharmacy staff was at least half a notch higher than someone that works at a fast-food place. We get home, and what do you know, they got the prescription wrong. I saw the two reviews saying that the staff is overworked, understaffed and under appreciated. But, the majority of the reviews tell another story. I don't care what type of business you are, if you cannot perform your job to it's minimal specifications, should your location stay in business?

if I could provide a star less than one, I would do it. This location used to be one of the best and now it is absolutely one of the worst. I don’t know why one would attempt to sign up for automatic refill or delivery because you never get it anyway.. More often than not, prescriptions aren’t in stock because they haven’t ordered appropriately. Customer service has taken a terrible nosedive. Furthermore, the drive-through is never open and apparently no one can answer the phone. The sad part is is there’s very other few places that you can go and apparently they know it.

I’ve tried to remain patient with this location. I understand through Covid with staffing, but now we are long past this. Our prescriptions are forever in process 7 to 10 days sometimes. My daughter has 1 that must be picked up in a 7 day timeframe and day 7 it’s in process still and I have to call in and have it expedited so I can get it. Today pull in to an empty drive thru that says due to staff the drive thru is closed. Come inside 8 people in line ahead of me waiting and 4 after me. About 15 minutes into my wait in line an associate with long red hair comes in, opens the drive thru window stands there for a minutes looks around, then helps 1 car and begins to put away prescriptions. Why this associate couldn’t step in and help get the inside line down is beyond me, even if he had to complete the transactions from his own register at the drive thru at least then it would appear they cared about customer service. If it wasn’t for my insurance I wouldn’t be using either location in Waynesboro.

My family has the most incredible experience getting our flu shots here last week. They had walk in appointments available, which was great but the pharmacist who gave the shots…I mean. He was nice, great with my 5 year old and it was seriously the least painful shot I’ve ever gotten. My son, who usually screams for about 3-5 mins during/after a shot, didn’t make a peep. Will go here for every shot I need in the future. Thank you!

This place is maddeningly understaffed. The few who are there are polite and professional, but corporate has them in a bind by not hiring more people. I feel bad for the workers and customers that need this critical service. Shame on CVS beancounters.

I have used the pharmacy at this CVS location for over 15 years and can not believe how horrible the service has become there. I called my son’s medication in FIVE days early because they never seem to be able to have my prescriptions ready on time anymore. I went up there and there was a note in the drive up to come inside, that they were short of help. Okay, I understand that…no big deal. I was standing in line and the extremely rude pharmacist told one elderly man they didn’t have his medicine. He then called the gentleman in front of me up and then pointed at me and then started pointing to his left. I had no idea what he wanted me to do. Finally realized he wanted me to go to the other register where he was trying to help me and the other gentleman at the same time. He was so rude, I was in shock. I have never been treated like that before at any CVS I’ve been to. He then proceeds to tell the gentleman and then me that neither of our medications are ready. I called this in five days ago, so my son would not run out. I work in customer service and know how hard it is, but if I ever treated someone I would be fired immediately. Needless to say… I will be moving my and my son’s medications from that pharmacy and advise people to avoid it if possible.

Had to give it one star in order to leave a review, but I wish 1/4 of a star was an option. They left me on hold for literally 3 hours without answering the phone. I drove over there, even though I was not supposed to leave the house for quarantine reasons. The pharmacy tech in the drive- through shrugged and said yeah, we’ve been kinda busy, and the pharmacist that’s here today always tells us not to answer the phone because we are busy enough.” That’s absolutely unacceptable. Not a way to run a business, and more importantly, not an appropriate attitude for a healthcare professional (the pharmacist).

Apparently CVS doesn’t care about ratings but I will agree with everyone else pharmacy staff one in particular are very rude! I stopped in today after my physician sent in prescriptions and told them I would wait. The rude on said it would be 3-4 hours because they were filling prescriptions from May 2! Today is May14!. I said I lived 20 mi away and she said I’m sorry I said yeah me to. Since CVS is buying up all of independent pharmacys not much competition so they could care less about customers.

If I could give them 0 stars I would! They could care less about customers. The older woman who works at the window is nasty & rude! When you go to pick up prescriptions that you put in the day prior, you can show up the next day & still have to wait an hour for your prescriptions. I tried to make a complaint about that to the supervisor, instead the pharmacist was sent over to me & wouldn’t listen to a word I had to say. He was very rude, I left out in tears. I was trying to pick up nerve pain medicine for my husband. He was loud and embarrassed me in front of everyone in the store. Then when asked to transfer my husbands meds to broad st, the pharmacist laughed in my face. Just a horrible experience with this CVS. The whole pharmacy needs new staff.

Been on hold to speak with someone in the pharmacy for 12 minutes and the second time 25 minutes. No one ever answered the phone. I have only 2 pills left and I can't get through. Yesterday was the exact same way also. They just need to shut down the pharmacy because they can't ever get my prescriptions right. I am either over or short medicine and you can never get anyone to pick up in the pharmacy without at least being on hold for 10 or more minutes

I hate to have to post this review but after today’s visit to th CVS on Main Street I feel the need to share my disappointment. I have been a customer of CVS for several years. I take numerous medications so I frequent this store often. I am sick and tired of the horrible customer service skills in the pharmacy. I need to point out that the customer service in the retail portion of the store is fantastic. The pharmacy obviously has a long culture of poor customer service. Today’s visit was not exceptionally bad but it was another example of them being rude and making me feel that I am either lying to them or bothering them. This has to stop. We are you customer. We are the reason that you are in business. We are the ones that buy our medication from you so that you can remain in business. Please stop treating us like we are bothering you when we attempt a business transaction. This includes the drive through. I am tired of the rolling eyes, the simple questions that have obvious derogatory meanings. I am tired of them being so short and so rude.As this is a review then I will offer this to the readers....I do not recommend this pharmacy to you. The staff is short, rude, make you feel like you are lying or a bother. The wait times in the drive through are horrible and they do not follow up on requests as they state that they will. I hope that they improve or I will take my business else where.

Pharmacy service at this location has greatly declined over past year. Can it be blamed on the pandemic? I don’t think so when other pharmacies seem to be providing adequate customer service. Prescriptions are oftentimes not filled in a reasonable or timely manner. More times than not, we are informed even more common generic brands are not available at their location. Just this week after not being able to get through by phone, a daily occurrence reported by others as well, we had to make a trip and then wait in a long 2-lane drive-through. The hold-up is Covid-19 testing is done using the main drive-through window. Covid-19 testing is needed but NOT when it overtakes drive-through drop-off and pick up service, creating long lines because of the slow process. 10-15 minutes in line is reasonable but 20 or more is not. More than once we did not stop because of the exceedingly long lines! We have been told medications not in stock and have been sent to another CVS location that is less than 3 miles away. Good customer service would have the prescription delivered to customer’s home store and not have customer to go to another location. We have been with CVS for decades but time has come for us to seriously look to another pharmacy. If they want to offer testing then add additional staff and provide an alternate plan that does not interfere with the drive-through operation.

I wish there was an option for zero stars, because CVS on Main deserves it. Usually I have all prescriptions filled at a different location, but have switched in the past year so I would be able to utilize the drive-thru at this location. This is the third time I’ve tried to pick up WITHIN the drive thru hours only for the call bell and phone to be ignored. The entire point of people using the drive-thru is so they don’t have to go inside of the store sick, or take their sick kids to pick up their medications. After waiting in the drive-thru again for over 30 minutes I called the automated line only to be told the prescription would now not be ready for 2 days. Not like antibiotics are important or anything 🙄

Never had such bad customer service from a pharmacist. She knew I was trying to get to my husband ASAP after his surgery (which I could not be with him for due to Covid restrictions), but would not expedite filling his prescriptions. Dr called them in at 4pm and they are still not ready. It’s 6:47pm and they close at 7. She told me there are 14 Rx’s to fill before mine would be filled.

Pretty much the worst pharmacy I've been to. If you can choose another place for your medication, do so. I always put in my order earlier than I need it and it's never ready when I go pick it up. The day of they said to come back in a couple of hours or the next day. They also don't answer calls, hang up while you're in line and have closed the drive thru window. Horrible pharmacy. If it wasn't so inconvenient, I'd drive to Staunton instead.
