Used to be amazing but now when things are marked down by color they toss them in tubs so you have to dig through and the tubs are all over the store and it’s a tripping hazard! Makes it look so disorganized and bad and how can you even see the half off stuff without digging through tote after tote! I mentioned it to an employee who sure wanted no feedback and was rather moody! Is it too much to ask to be able to see the sale merchandise without digging through 20 plus totes all over the store in the walkways??? 😔🤔

This place is awesome! So many cool things! If you want to have a good time looking at the best selection of knickknacks around, make an outing of the Salvation Army!I'll start with the complaints (which are very few in comparison to the compliments).First, they have only a small number of casette tapes, and among those are mostly classical music, but I did find Christmas suites and 80s rock.Second, some of the items are in very poor condition, from frayed cords on appliances to action figures (or what used to be) that are only a torso and a single leg.Okay, that's all for complaints. Now...the fun part! There is such a large selection of items here (as I stated before), for practically anyone looking to take up some room or wall space. I was especially awestruck by the small alarm clocks, which were hidden all over the shop, because each one was stylized differently and just put together perfectly.Kids definitely like this place, but I would say their toys are geared primarily toward Pre-K through 2nd grade. There are a lot of shelf items that are very intriguing; I almost picked up every one!Lots of special dishes, cups, and plates with a variety of designs. The few that I can recall were cottages, mountain scenery, cultural icons, and traditional Japanese tea sets.Definitely a place to return to again and again!

“the lady”this location desperately needs to reconsider their currently employed staff. this is the second time i’ve witnessed unprofessional and rude behavior by the staff towards customers. the store is unorganized and no one donates to it anymore due to how rude the person accepting donations is. go to manassas, their location has way more accessible clothing and i haven’t witnessed their staff setting aside items for themselves or friends like this store does.

This is the dirtiest and most disgusting Salvation Army that I have ever had the displeasure to step into in my life. There must be a good reason that the floors have never been vacuumed and the walls are filthy! I felt like I needed a shower after I walked around the store. I am sure there must be a good reason for the items to be displayed as poorly as they are..and the front of the store looks positively derelict. I saw other people walking around with equally disgusted looks on their faces. I have gone to yard sales with items more carefully strewn about in a front yard, than this places cares about how they present their items for sale. I have told anyone I can to skip their trip to this location and unless they can be bothered to act like they care a bit more then they might as well shut this store down. It is a shame that the people in charge are ok with the current state if this particular location being the image of a local Salvation Army. DISGRACEFUL.

When making a drop off donation of goods, the women there act like it is a huge inconvenience for them. I Don’t get it? Isn’t the whole idea of a thrift shop dependent upon donations? I wish there was another place to donate around here. We had quite a lot to donate because my father passed away and as we were bringing things in I could hear them complaining to each other. Maybe they should find another way to volunteer their time.

I’ve never donated anything, so my experience is only shopping. I love this store. It’s an older building, but not dirty like others have mentioned. The deals are great, they have a wonderful dvd and children’s book selection. I go here once a week and find it one of the best thrift stores in Manassas, Warrenton, Gainesville areas.

I agree with most of the posters here that some of the employees, generally the older ones, are rude or disinterested. That is typical of Warrenton, rudest place I have ever lived. I no longer live there. The rest of the country is much friendlier. That said, I have found a few nice things there and would go there often. Prices can be crazy high but that is because they use eBay as their source for pricing. I suspect they just look at what things are listed for and not what they actually sold for.All in all, there is no excuse for poor customer service. If you don't like people, don't work there. If you really need a job, then stay in the back room and not go out where you have to interact with the public.

Take your donations elsewhere! I have never met such rude employees who acted as though me donating items was a burden on them. Most donation places seem happy to get them, they seemed frustrated that I brought so much stuff and told me they only accept BRAND NEW Toys. I had some nice stuff that was only played with a few times but apparently only new items are wanted.

Considering they're a donation-based "thrift store" that claims to sell donated clothing & furniture items for families who can't afford retail prices, yet 99% of their donations are priced HELLA expensive........... most of these items aren't even worth the price tag & could be bought & sold online for less or even found brand new at Walmart cheaper LOL

The Staff is always very helpful and friendly. At this Store Location you never know what you may find. They always have a large variety of items; from clothing, furniture, bicycles, antiques, dishware, and many other items.

Staff was rude when I came to drop off donation items. None of my things were separated enough for them. Disorganized process, and unclear.

I will be looking for another place to donate. I just dropped off 2 boxes of clothing. The lady was very rude. She clearly saw me carrying a heavy box and did not offer to hold the door. It doesn’t cost anything to show respect and be helpful.

The staff at this location are horrible and nasty attitude. People are trying to be generous by donating nice things. Are these people not supposed to have a good heart? Why are they employed there if not looking out for the best interests of the needy?

As far as SA goes, this place is no good. Ill mannered cashiers, and when attention is drawn to their rude treatment, they get even more rude. Clearly. If someone says you're being rude, your response shouldn't be, no i'm not. Erratic hours with furniture, and rude if you ask..

Someone needs to tell the woman in the donation area if she doesn’t like her job to leave. Her bad and rude attitude almost got her cussed out. You go out of your way to donate to the needy and you have to deal with hags like that is unacceptable! There’s other places to make donations.

The donation office was terribly rude when I dropped my donations. We were only allowed 4 boxes of donations per family, and my donations were not separated enough. I understand needing the customers help, but the approach is completely wrong.

Because this location of Salvation Army is in Warrenton Virginia, where pretty much only rich people live, the prices of some of the nicer items in the store were significantly higher than they would have been at any other Salvation Army. That was kind of disappointing. Far as I'm concerned the point of any Salvation Army is for people who need them not for rich people to get stuff a little bit cheaper.. the only reason I was there in Warrenton is because I had a doctor's appointment that I had to be there for in Warrenton. I happened to see Salvation Army sign and went inside. I was little appalled at some of the prices. Frankly, there should just be a Salvation Army donation center in Warrenton Virginia. Not a Salvation Army store. No one who lives in Warrenton needs a Salvation Army store.

These are the rudest people I’ve ever dealt with! We are just trying to do a good thing and donate items. The lady today was absolutely nasty to us and wouldn’t even let us donate everything. Unacceptable! This is SUPPOSED to be a Christian organization!

Terribly rude group of people there. The lady “accepting” (begrudgingly) donations is so rude!! I leave there angry every time and ask myself why I even bother donating there. They really do give the impression they don’t want you there (to shop or donate).

Too expensive. People donate nice things and they end up disposing of half of it because it doesn't sell. You would think they would see a pattern. Maybe they should price their thrift store merchandise at thrift store prices.

It said on here that they closed at 6 pm and they told me to get out at 5 pm. I was just about to check out too. I was just trying to show support by thrifting old items, but they got so nasty with me and looked at me like I was crazy. I’m just very confused and upset. :(

Was willing to donate lightly used luggage. Response received was "we are kinda full on luggage right now". Seriously. You could always send to to a bigger store. Disappointing.

The rudest bunch of ingrates I’ve ever met. They will receive no more donations from me. There’s a thrift store on the bypass it takes donations gratefully, the money raised goes to feeding local fauquier families

The lady that accepts the donations is very rude! She acts like she doesn’t want donations. I drive to Manassas, where the people are nice and love to receive donations.

The store is well stocked, actually a bit crowded. Staff was chatting and not very attentive. I left without making a purchase which is rare for me in a thrift store.
