After months of planning and sampling paints we decided to order Behr Paints from Home Depot. The sales representatives at the paint counter were incredibly rude about our choice of Behr paint colors. We did not seek their advice, but the employees proceeded to make sexist comments about our choice of paint. We purchased the paint anyway, but we will not purchase any paint from Home Depot in the future. We feel that Behr should consider other sales avenues since it is clear that Home Depot employees are not interested in selling their products.

Horrible experience trying to buy a washer and dryer. Since our home is being built and we don't have an address yet, we asked to pay for the appliances (fully) and the employee said it couldn't be done as he needs to provide a delivery address in the system. We asked to speak to a manager to find a solution and the manager (Patrick) went straight to speak to the employee, ignoring us, and not even a greeting to me and my wife. Like we weren't even there. Horrible attitude, horrible experience. Never coming back to this store.

Don’t go to this HD. They have smaller stock and their prices are much higher than the Haymarket store, which is shocking. And I’m talking by $3 to $5 dollars on most items. Even paint costs more here!

I wish I could give negative stars. This store is an abomination. One of the incompetent managers (Taryn) lies to customers. She is rude and ignorant and actually claims that she is the only manager on duty when she is not. The male employee who works at the truck rental counter actually cheats you out of money exactly like a common theif. The lying ignorant woman who was one of the managers on duty has no desire to solve a legit issue that I had about being charged incorrectly. I was ripped off and charged for tome that I shouldn't have been charged for . Instead of helping me I was ganged up on by 3 employees who insisted that it was standard protocol to charge me for truck rental time when I wasn't using the truck. I was still in the store filling out paperwork. I couldn't believe the way I was spoken to by the employees. I was made to feel guilty for expecting them to provide the materials that they advertised were included. The rude guy was so annoyed that they had to charge me for a dolley that was included in the price of the rental. He made it very clear that he was unhappy and annoyed that my money would be refunded. I could not believe that 3 employees would speak to a customer like I was spoken to and treated. One of them was a manager or assistant manager and was setting a horrible example. They lied to me and about me and refused to to refund money that they incorrectly charged me you would have thought that refunding my money was coming out of their personal funds. This was my first experience with this store and I'm making sure that the whole state of Virginia never shops there

Well from my experience avoid this Home Depot if you can there customer service is horrible rude and unprofessional,,the worst is policy for rental equipment is beyond ridiculous I felt like I got robbed by that company,,Home Depot is very terrible when it comes to rent tools.next will never use this company again.

This goes to the garden department specifically, they were very informative extremely helpful and assisted me and getting the products I need to keep pests away from my plants and get the nutrients that they need. It's not very frequently that you go into Home Depot and somebody has the knowledge of these guys did. They recommended neem oil, a type of fertilizer spray, and I was in the midst of buying a hose when there was a gentleman who was a hose specialist explaining the differences in the hoses which aided me and picking a hose that should last me a long time. Thanks for the help garden dept team. Can't wait to see my garden flourish. Tilled a 30x30 plot and mixed in some garden soil from miracle gro, putting perimeter fence up and planting tonight and tomorrow. I'll try and remember to update.

If somebody is looking for a quick buck what I'd do is go to the moulding section and accidentally cut a finger off because HD makes you cut your own board to length. Let's say it's your first time using a saw? Think an ambulance chasing lawyer would want to hear about your loss of a hand? So let's say you cut 4 boards and they were all 8 feet. A HD employee will stand there measuring each board even though they're all the same length. Why? Because they can't do math and just add the inches up with a calculator instead of multiplying 8x4. They instead will add up 96 inches 4 times and divide it by 12. The claim she made was that they sell the moulding by inches. That's not true I argued otherwise the tag wouldn't be $/ft. I've spent a ton of money here but I'll go to Lowe's at least they give you the 10% off everything for the military discount.

Placed an online order for screws and lumber, they wouldn't deliver the screws so had to pick them up. The wood took 5 weeks to deliver, when it finally came realized it was wrong lumber for the job, the return took 3 weeks, in the meantime while waiting for the pickup I ordered the right lumber but it was raining for the delivery, he pulled to the end of my driveway and then left while I was standing there watching him do this from my garage, I called the store and was told they couldn't deliver for 2 weeks which was on day 3 of the new order, I spoke to a manager but he said the driver couldn't turn around. I canceled the 2nd order immediately, which I did receive the refund for the second order. It's now August and I'm still battling to get the refund for the April order with homedepot and citybank because I used my homedepot card for the purchase. I will never ever again attempt to have something delivered from homedepot, besides Lowes delivery was quicker and they have a low price guarantee. Lowes might be further but not dealing with homedepot customer harrassment program is worth the effort.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. DO NOT BUY PAINT FROM THIS LOCATION. We have been loyal Home Depot customers for years. We bought paint at this location on 2 different occasions (literally a week max difference). The paint lid had the same formula information as the earlier purchased lid. We got TWO different wall colors (see picture below). When I went into the store, the manager didn't come speak to me. They basically told me it was my problem and gave me two new gallons of paint to replace the paint that was incorrect. When I asked for store credit they offered me $100. THAT DIDN'T EVEN COVER MY PAINT PURCHASES ( I had boughten a total of 5 gallons Behr Marquee paint). I filed a compliant with the cooperate office which was an even worse experience which resulted in the "customer specialist" saying I was lying about my experience and how large our basement was based on my paint purchase... hmm I didn't realize the manager of this store AND "customer specialist" were painters. Oh and her answer for when I stated I bought 5 gallons but 2 where different colors was that is why they couldn't offer me more store credit and they DO NOT back their paint mixer machines. When I asked to be transferred to her supervisor (3 times) she refused all 3. Sorry lady, I know you are NOT the end all be all to the customer care department. Such a joke. We were going to do a kitchen remodel, re-do our deck, and get all new doors from home depot. It is all going to Lowes now! Oh and we had ordered $3,000 worth of tile from home depot. Which they conveniently couldn't cancel in the store when I requested it be canceled. I will be filing a report with the BBB after this horrific experience.

The Warrenton store needs lots of assistance in not only stocking and cleanliness but useful, knowledgeable, courteous, considerate employees. Having frequently visited and purchased items at this particular location each time it's a struggle. Most of the instances have been due to lack of knowledge about products in the store and getting someone to actually help.It's definitely become a self service experience and oh yeah make sure to use the self check out lane as the cashier doesn't even know the store managers name...lol. but it prints out on the receipt if you need to speak with someone.

Very stressful experience. We went in to buy new appliances on Labor Day and employees had no idea how to work the “new” online ordering system. Three separate employees helped us who were unaware of current sales and could not figure out how to add items to the online cart. Meanwhile, I was able to order them online from my phone.No blame on the employees, management obviously did not train them well.When we asked for a managers help we were told “they are all in a meeting”.

Seems silly to review a place everyone knows. But I was pleased by the way an associate handled our door purchase. I had asked that all be brought to me and was disappointed to get sent elsewhere to the rear of the store and a fenced ares. But once there, it was all good. Door brought right to the care with much assistance tying all to the car roof. Good folks in a cold world.

GLORIOUS!!!The HVAC technician that came out did many things that many technicians do not. He actually listened to me. He actually valued my observations about the problem before he started his work. Once he began, he discovered the problem faster than anyone I've ever observed, in any industry, has ever resolved any issue. Most importantly, when he discovered that my problem required no actual repair (a configuration issue resulting from a previous power-outage) and cost $0.00 to resolve, he actually told me this. There are three professions that are predominantly filled with people of flexible integrity: mechanics, car salesmen, and HVAC technicians. While I've never and will never meet an honest car salesman, and I do know four honest mechanics, this technician was the first truly honest HVAC technician I've met in my 57 years of this life.... and I've met more than you have. Pay this technician what he is worth. If he has kids, send them legos (not the cheap kits either) for their birthdays. If he is married, send his spouse flowers on their anniversary. Keep him and his family happy. If he needs some leave time, give it to him. If you expand your business, make him a leader so that he can do the ultimate good... because being the best there is just isn't good enough, the more responsible use of this technician is to use him to grow more of him. No, don't send him to Texas A&M for cloning, it doesn't work on humans, but clone him where he is. For the remainder of my life, and his career (whichever ends first) I will have no other technician look at, touch, or even be allowed to overhear conversations about my HVAC. The only bad thing about his visit is that now I hold every other HVAC technician to a standard that nobody else will meet.

Whenever you shop at a big box store, service can be hit or miss. My most recent experience at Home Depot was very good. It reminded me of how service used to be. I will return and hope I have the same experience as I did today.

Home Depot has always been my favorite place to shop. Most of the time, the employees are very helpful. I'm giving 4 out of 5 stars because the self checkouts leave me a little perturbed. I waited while two employees that were in their own conversation, totally ignoring we were there. Can only pay cash at one of the four self pays that were open. And have to wait on employee to okay paint, (must be 18 or older). Wish they would open more registers.

The communication skills this home depot lacks are probably the worst I have ever seen. Tried ordering 2 cabinets for my kitchen starting in January of this year and have finally given up with the entire process due to very poor communication and damaged products being delivered. The management at this particular home depot severely lack basic customer service skills in that they refuse to call you back when requested and can be heard heard snickering/laughing over the phone when you do manage to get a hold of one if them. Don't ever bash a store/company like this but felt this needed to be said. Will be taking my business elsewhere from now on

They have just about everything I need for home repair any time I need to fix things on short notice. The prices are pretty reasonable. This store also does a free monthly kids craft event every 1st Saturday in the morning which is really cool. Not sure if they do that in every Home Depot; but if they don't, they should. I've been really happy with my experiences here.

It's a love-hate thing. Love my pro contractor rep. Not a fan of the people who call to let me know my.order is in. Because when I send driver to pick up somehow it disappears amd they can't find. Once I get the call from my driver, all of a sudden they find the order. Drives me nuts.

I had problems with receiving part of an online order. My first call was handled professionally and courteously. I was told someone would contact me within the next 24-48 hours to help resolve my issue. No problem, except nobody called. Five days later, I tried to call again only to be hung up on repeatedly, while on hold and by a live person. I was not rude, but tried to explain that I just wanted to receive the item I’d already paid for.Long story short, I called several numbers other than the local store and am hoping to have my last Home Depot purchase resolved soon. Horrible customer service!

This Home Depot is excellent. They have a good staff that works hard to keep the store organized. I have the pleasure of shopping at home depot regularly all over northern Virginia and this is by far one of the best locations. They move quickly to help in the headache sections like wire cutting and pipe threading. The flooring staff is familiar with the products and the hardware section is top notch clean. I drive here even if it is a little further because it is a breeze.
