I cannot say enough positive things about PawsAwhile.Our family have been clients with Paws Awhile since 2017.We board, do daycare and have used their grooming services for our canine children. With confidence we know our "Boys" are well taken care of, in fact when we arrive for daycare they are very excited to see all the staff. Without hesitation we recommend this small business!

The Sisters and their staff are so great with our dog. He’s pretty skittish and reactive around new people, but every time he runs right up to the person checking us in, which is a great sign. His preferred place is right at my feet at all times, but while we’re out of town, this is a perfect second best. The Sisters are incredibly accommodating, keep in touch with us if our pup gets sick, and generally just love the dogs. Can’t recommend them enough!

This place is wonderful! I'm so glad I found it. My pup has been coming here since he was old enough to get all the required vaccinations. He LOVES this place. The nuns (yes, nuns!) and staff are delightful, and the motel is set on such a beautiful property. They offer daycare and boarding for both dogs and cats, and have many activity packages and add-ons for your little fella if he/she needs extra playtime, walks, or snuggles. I highly recommend it!Edit:My pup has been "evicted" from this facility. He was recently boarded here for a 12 day stay while I was out of town. When I arrived to pick him up I was told he was no longer welcomed because he "wasn't picking up on another dog's cues during play time". Apparently my pup wanted to play with a dog that didn't want to play. There was no fight, and it was with only one dog, who he had played with in the past. I'm very upset over this, as I think the facility could have handled it differently. Every time I've picked my dog up from here, they always tell me he was a perfect gentleman. He's been coming here since he was about 7 months old, and he'll be two at the end of March. It's a shame he's been "banned" over this one incident.Edit:Adam from this facility reached out to discuss what apparently was a misunderstanding. I feel like we were able to clear up the issue and was reassured that my pup was still welcomed at Paws Awhile. This interaction was handled in a very polite and professional way, and I'm looking forward to getting my pup back into daycare and boarding.

Great facility and lovely staff! We’ve had bad experiences with Rover and wanted a professional boarding house that doesn’t charge an arm and a leg. So happy with Paws Awhile for my fur babies.

Our elderly lab, Bear (almost 14 at the time), stayed here twice. They truly care about the individual animal and take all his needs into account. We still call it "Bear's Spa" when we pass the turn-off on 29. Bear has passed on and he is missed everyday. To quote Will Rogers "If there are no dogs in Heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went." We know Bear will be there to meet us.

The staff is absolutely the best. They treat our dog (who has epilepsy/seizures) as if she were their own. Could not have been better!

This is a review that deserves the rating it gets. The nuns that run this establishment along with their staff are amazing individuals who really take care of your pet. I'm very confident and secure knowing my dog is loved and well taken care of when he comes here. It's very easy to give this establishment the 5 stars they deserve.

The BEST places for our dogs when we travel. Everyone is very nice and the dogs always get excellent care. Very clean and well maintained. They offer a wide range of services. For top-notch care, prices are fair. Easy to make a reservation. Drop off & pick up is easy & efficien and they remember our dogs every time. One of our dogs started limping and they called us while we were in Italy to discuss. (She was fine the next day). Very caring. The BEST!

My family has been using this wonderful pet motel since 2004 and they never disappoint! They’ve watched 3 of our dogs and our beagle is scared of storms and they called me to let me know he’s okay but really scared and that they were going to stay longer with him and pet him to calm him down. They really do go above and beyond for the animals and I full heartedly trust them to watch my fur babies! Highly recommend!

From the moment we walked into Paws Hotel We loved it😍 We were greeted In such a warm and caring manner and the place was very clean . Mother Eirene suggested we leave Dakota for a weekend because our concern was We rescued Her and didn’t want her to feel she was being left again and we wouldn’t be back . It was a great idea she was fine so we felt good about leaving her for two weeks for our vacation . I was a mess we never have left any of our dogs at any boarding , hotel for animals . We made a great choice all the staff and sisters were wonderful, Mike the manager assured us not to worry All was going to be fine . If I could give more stars I would and I don’t give them easy. I called almost every day they never made me feel I was a bother 😀 Thank You all again for taking care of our Dakota⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

They were very thorough during the check-in process to ensure they had all the information to care for our dog, including our vets information who we had to call to answer some of their questions.Our dog is the nervous type and they went to great lengths to calm him down and make him feel at ease. When we picked him up 4 days later he was happy, clean, and healthy.We will definitely be using Paws Awhile in the future.

This is our go-to place when our dogs need boarding or grooming...and has been for four years since moving from Falls Church. The nuns and their friendly staff are always pleasant, efficient, welcoming and attentive to our pets. The dogs always look better and smell better when we pick them up. The groomer is excellent, even with difficult cases, and the prices here are more than fair.

The Sisters took such good care of our Old English Sheepdog when we boarded her for the first time. They were very in tune with her behaviors and realized within her first day there that she wasn't fully comfortable being with the louder dogs in the "party room" where they had placed her initially, so they moved her to the quieter side, where she was much happier. In addition, we were able to personalize her stay with them by adding extra walks, snuggles, and treats. We will definitely be returning!

This is a fantastic boarding kennel. The sisters and staff are so attentive. Mother Ed is so on top of possible issues and contacted us while on vacation to advise us. Our purebred lab gets very anxious and has a sensitive stomach, so we are trying different herbs and probiotics to help her relax and get her stomach healthy. Mother Ed takes note of these needs. They truly are like extended family and want to see our/their beloved pets healthy and happy.

I live in Stafford. My usual kennel was booked. I was fortunate enough to be able to get a reservation here. I lived in Catlett many years ago and boarded here a few times. I didn't need to board often, but always went here. I cannot recommend them enough! They are extremely knowledgeable, caring, and thorough. I'm happy with my regular kennel, which is So much more convenient. But Paws is awesome!

Very good place! They need to hire more people or organize their schedule. I can tell that they are understaffed and the staff that is currently there are stressed. They do such a wonderful job with the pet's. They should take care of their workers just as well. Focus on their health and the work will benefit!
