VERY fast workers! Good soft serve, though a bit one note (I've had more flavorful in the area), so toppings are your friend. Generous portion size. MASSIVE menu. Parking is bad. Entrance to parking is bad. No escape from the sun and rain.Parking: Parking lot needs attention. Crumbling asphalt. Fills up rapidly since everyone eats in their cars and doesn't move on.

tl;dr: Busy location with delicious desserts off the side of the road that was worth a stop on the way back from Shenandoah.Lemon Italian Ice - 5/5: The lemon Italian ice was delicious and so smooth for Italian ice! I was expecting it to be hard to eat, but it was so incredibly smooth without becoming liquid.Vanilla Soft Serve - 3/5: Standard fare soft serve. Makes me think of McDonald's soft serve - or Dairy Queen. It's pretty big for the small size we ordered.Accessibility/Parking - 4/5: Located just off the highway going towards NOVA, there was a lot of parking, but also a lot of people in line, which was why we wanted to see what was going on. The line moves very fast though and the desserts came out pretty quickly after that (may have been what we ordered though). Lots of seating as well. Great hot summer day retreat.

‼️ 🍦🍨Do Not Miss Out🍦🍨‼️If you are driving down 15/29 then you need to make the pit stop to Effee'sCustomer service is SUPERB and the icecream even better. I love that they have seasonal and weekly flavors so you'll always be entertained and never bored. Prices are very inexpensive so it shouldnt hurt the wallet at all when the kids say "Daddy we want icecream!"Definitely the best and most exciting icecream shop in the area 😋

This ice cream is absolutely delicious. I really enjoy the fact that they put a twist on each ice cream. They have a wide variety of Sundays that I really love because that means I get to come back and try every single one. I obviously know this is dairy ice cream, but I do wish they had a dairy free option. So my lactose people can enjoy with their friends too.

WOW, discovered this location late Saturday evening (10/22/22), while driving home from a long day of moving. We hadn't stopped for Dinner yet and everyone was exhausted. Noticing people out front... performed a quick u-turn and was placing an order in short order. WOW, WOW, WOW!!! Pumpkin spice and Pistachio (2 flavors blended in a cup) soft-serve ice cream was out of this WORLD. Will be stopping by again for sure!!! Unfortunately, the location closes :( for the Winter in seven days and reopens in March :)

This was the perfect roadside stop! When we arrived it was the first hot spring weekend so there was a huge line halfway down the ramp. The line moved really quickly and there was maybe a 5 minute wait to order and only another 5 minutes (or less) before our ice cream was ready. The building is in front of a creek and large grassy area which is a great spot for kids to play while waiting for their treat. I’ve cream was delicious- we’ll be back again for sure!

Soft Serve ice cream with a smile. This place has a great old school ice cream walk up atmosphere and the ice cream is decent by itself but really good when you mix in some brownies as a sundae or turn it in to any number ofunique shakes.

Best soft ice cream in Northern Virginia!! I had their flavor of the week, Watermelon, after asking for a sample. Delish! It’s on the way home from Lake Anna, but I might be tempted to take a Sundae drive just for their delicious ice cream. A nice creek behind the shop combines my love of nature with my love of a good cone.

Simply the best I’ve cream I’ve ever had. 10% butterfat ice cream from gravity fed only soft serve machines. Homemade brownies and other toppings. Immaculately clean store. Friendly, hard working staff. Owners who take great pride in their operation and pay attention to every detail. The lines can be long, for good reason, but they move quickly. The strawberry soft serve is so good it would make a bishop kick out a stained glass window.

I had an iceberg with a chocolate pb shake and toasted coconut sundae (flavor of the week). It was so freaking good. Really friendly staff, quick service, great price, & delicious ice cream.

There is never anything negative to say about Effie's ice cream. I'm so glad that they have their entire menu back up for sale. The line is always long but moves very quickly. Now that they have their whole menu back up there's a wide selection of flavors to choose from. The staff is always really helpful and friendly. Like I said you can never go wrong by choosing Effie's. The only negative is that the parking lot can be really full which makes it hard to get in and out of.

Effee’s is a Terrific place to go!! Carson, my handicapped son loves it!!!! We love the flavor of the day!!!!! They’re wonderful to talk to!!!! They had a Fundraiser for us when we were in a horrible car accident! That says it all about how GREAT this place is!!

This is our favorite local ice cream place! My kids LOVE it. During the off season they ask us constantly when it will be open (March-ish-October-ish). The ice cream is GF you just need to select gluten free toppings. They NEVER skimp on toppings! 100% recommend

We always love coming here! Sometimes there is a school spirit night, where part of the proceeds go to one of the local schools. The treats are always really delicious, and I love all the milkshake choices. You do have to listen for your order; they come out as they're ready, sometimes out of order, and one at a time, not all together.We also love that there is an area at the back where the kids can run around and play around a section of creek. We sometimes see kids we know there.

Always a crowd favorite.Convenient location off of 29, Plenty of parking, and friendly staff.Ice cream is always amazing and decent sizing. Weekly specials advertised via their Facebook page. They also have flavored ice, sundaes, shakes, floats, and the wife's favorite "Igloos" (Ice cream with flavored Ice)No bathrooms, so you'll have to pay a visit to one of the neighboring restaurants or 7-11.You won't be disappointed with a stop by on a hot day (but of course any day is a good day for Ice Cream!)

Awesome staff, generous portions and a festive atmosphere. The only seated dining is outdoors but that just lends itself to the feel of an old fashioned ice cream stand. Try their Strawberry Delight. If you’re brave and have a bottomless appetite, go for the Brownie Sundae! But, anything on the menu will be a delightful treat.
