We bought our giant schnauzer puppy from this establishment just a few months ago. I absolutely adore Winston however, since having him we have paid close to 5 k in vet bills. It all started with the day after thanksgiving rushing him to the emergency vet and finding out he had pneumonia. 6 weeks later lots of antibiotics,scans,and breathing treatments. Winston is doing much better. However just when I thought we were in the clear the vet has raised concerns about possible hip dysplasia and is now Winston is going to begin physical therapy at PAWS to give him the best chance as he grows . As much as I love Winston would definitely do more research in the future about the breeders before spending 3k+ on a dog .

My husband and I originally stopped by to check out their cattery, however, we left with a beautiful mini aussie.The women we're extremely helpful, very informative and attentive to our every question.We were there for maybe an hour or so interacting with our puppy, going through information and paperwork.Spent only $1k.We love our sweet baby girl !Thanks pups n stuff!

I got my lovely bulldog/beagle here. The owner is so nice and lovely. Even though they’re super pricey(be prepared to spend at least a few thousand dollars) they have beautiful puppies! Don’t go here if you fall in love easily, it was very hard to resist my puppy

I got an amazing puppy from a dealer who is knowledgeable and caring for her pets. I don’t understand the negative reviews for some of these.I took her to the vet within a week of getting her and she is healthy, happy, Smart and beautiful!I love how the kennel is open and big enough for the puppies to play. They also are started on puppy pads and have a eating schedule already in place.I really recommend people getting pet insurance if you are still uncomfortable with buying a puppy from a store.

Happened by here with the wife, while in from the west coast. An awesome array - food and kittens only, but what marvelous looking creatures! They will let you pet the dogs in a booth, but the cats require an application. The dog we looked at, however, was $3k, so I believe these are bred dogs. Fun to visit puppies, but be prepared to pay if you buy a pet here?

This was hands down the best experience I’ve had with going to a pet store. The staff was amazing and super thoughtful. I got my handsome mini Irish doodle Hank from there and they really showed how much they care about the pups and finding them the best homes homes for them. If you’re looking for your new best friend this is the place!

Great service. The only problem I had is that I paid 2600 for a Pom but didn’t come with certificates documentation to show. Isn’t akc and I was so excited to finally get a Pom that I didn’t notice until days after. He has failed to be a big ball of fur. More like spitz . Much bigger than I was hoping he would be

Nothing but good things to say about this store and Amber. She has been helpful over the years. Went as far as to reimburse us for a needed medical procedure a yr later. I would recommend reaching out if you're in the market for a new pet. They would be happy to work with all serious inquiries. (3 pups)

Pups N Stuff uses some of the worst puppy mills in the Midwest. According to government documents, they source their puppies from Judy Maassen with Adorable Puppy AKA J Maassen Inc- this breeder not only has over 300 adult breeding dogs, but they have been named one of the worst puppy mills in the nation. Subpar customer service. Walked in, 3 employees in the store. Two sitting down playing on their phones, no greeting. First dog my wife sees (she's a vet tech), she asks to interact with the dog. The shorter haired female employee says, with her back turned to us, "if you're here just to play with the puppies, our limit is 2". Who says that? We aren't young kids coming in just to waste time. And the employees were clearly not being gainfully employed since there was only 1 other customer in the store. We fully intended to spend money that evening on a forever friend. Lost a customer today.

I got a new puppy from here and he is doing very well. Amber was a great help with answering all our questions. Our yorkie is doing great and I am glad we came here. The customer service was very helpful and they have a lot of experience. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking to add a member to their family.

Came in today to look at a puppy, although we decided to not get it (no fault of seller) the staff were very friendly and helpful. The guy was very attentive and answered all of our questions. Super glad to see that the space for each puppy was big and not in small cages. Will be back once they’re red corgis :-)

We purchased a French Bulldog puppy a year ago. One year later our Rex is just as healthy as when we picked him up. He has great bloodlines as well and good temperament. Rex is extremely smart. We’ve been coming into Pups and Stuff for years looking and they have always been very helpful. The store is always clean and the animals are very well taken care of. We look forward to purchasing a sister for Rex soon and would only go back here.

I used to admire all the pups on their Facebook page. I was excited to finally visit the store in person even though it was a bit of a drive. When I walked in with my kiddos and pup, there were 4-5 folks hanging around the cash register. Not one of them greeted us. We walked over to the wall of collars and after a a few minutes the person stocking asked if we needed help. I don't know what it was.Checking out with our collar was awkward. There was no friendliness returned to my son who was trying to introduce our new puppy to the person ringing us up. I just got weird vibes from this place. My family loves to support local, small businesses, but we won't be coming back to this pet store.

I absolutely love my new puppy Dapper, a Yorkshire terrier who was just 9 weeks old when I picked him up. I know alot of people are talking about the prices but you get what you pay for. I had a couple of issues with the puppy since getting him but after informing Amber, the store owner, she assisted me throughout the entire process. I've looked everywhere in the area for my Yorkie, this was the best place by far.

I had been in contact with them for over a week regarding a puppy that was not even listed on their website yet. I got the information about this puppy from a phone call after expressing interest in a different puppy I had seen online. The day that the dog came in, they immediately sold her even after we had verbally agreed to me coming in later that same day and purchasing her to take home with me after her mandatory vet visit from the facility. We had at least five phone conversations about this puppy and my interest in her. They expressed that they were not certain of my interest in her or me showing up that day to get her. So they sold her. They did not call me to ask if I was coming or to tell me that she had been sold before I got there. Nor did they show any sympathy for selling her from out under me when I arrived. I agree with an earlier review I saw that the prices are way over the top for what they are and to be treated so disrespectfully I will not be attempting to purchase a puppy from here again nor will I recommend them to anyone in search of a puppy in the Hampton Roads area.

I have taken our daughter and my husband a few times to this place and we love it. The puppies are so cute and well taken care of, he cats are from a great organization called Billy the Kidden and are totally sweet, and of course all the animals are ready to be adopted. The product that they sell for the pets are reasonably priced and they have a great selection. The staff is always friendly and fun to talk to when we go. Definitely a fun place to visit, and perhaps find your forever puppy or kitten/cat.

I was surprised by a couple of the negative reviews. I love this place! The staff and owner are so knowledgeable. Any person working here can answer just about any question you could possibly have. They are very friendly! The place is so clean and the pups all appear to be very well loved and well taken care of. Great place to buy from!

SO INLOVE WITH MY NEW PUPPY!!! I originally gotten him in May 2018, but buying him from this store was such a blessing! With this being my first dog, I made sure I did my research before coming to this place. Way better than Pet World by far due to cleanliness, bigger spaces for the dogs and overall design and atmosphere. Amber was overall helpful and assisted me in everything I needed to bring my new family member home. The only thing I could complain about is pricing, but then again Shihpoo puppies will always be on the up side. I was also a little hesitate to buy due to wondering if the pups sold here were in healthy condition, but that worry was soon erased when I took him to the vet and they reported he was healthy as can be! Me and my new pup couldn't be any more happier for this was a match made in heaven! If you're thinking about buying your new furry friend from here, I highly recommend it for my dog was everything I wanted and more!

First time visitor: My husband and I stopped by. My chihuahua passed last year and we’re in the market for another. We walked in and weren’t greeted (just stared at.) All of the employees were sitting down at the entrance so I (the customer) politely asked “do you guys work here?” They affirmed without asking how they can help us (because we are customers after all.) So we proceeded to look around without any direction or conversation about our needs or interest in the puppies. A group of men walked in while we were there, I won’t mention the differences between them and us but what a joyous welcome they received. Surprisingly they had chihuahuas (just what I was looking for.) Saw one I loved, asked for some together time. While I’m asking “May we play with this one?” One of the men working is shaking his head NO while I’m presenting my question. He then tells me “we’re only showing the puppies to people who are actually interested in buying.” Well I didn’t know my shirt said ACTUALLY UNINTERESTED (it didn’t). If anything you need to allow me to play and purchase because the place looks unwelcoming as ever. Better yet, you may need me to run the business because at least I know how to say hello, thank you and please come back again. Either way, what a turn off. Judging these reviews, I’m glad I didn’t press the issue or even try to get that puppy. He was so precious and I pray he finds a really good home.

The owner Amber is EXTREMELY helpful and patient. I could tell she is very passionate and loves each and every pup. She has WEALTH of knowledge, and answered questions I didn't even know to ask. The animals are very well taken care of, and the location is incredibly clean. This location is also stocked with everything you need to take your baby home. I will definitely be getting my baby here as soon as I find my perfect match.

Awesome place! Friendly, experienced, and very knowledgeable staff. Everything you need to know about puppies, breeds, health, grooming, etc can be found here. They are always willing to answer questions and even help choose the best toys and other products for our pets. The store is very clean, the adorable puppies are well cared for, and their environment is large with big viewing windows!

I went and visited Pups N Stuff today with high hopes of purchasing a mini golden doodle. However, they were unable to provide very basic documentation like any kind of genetic history of the pup or what the parents looked like. The breeder is listed, but I was unable to find any reviews online that provided any more information. I asked to have the pup genetically tested or for the phone number of the breeder, and was told no to both requests. Bottom line - this place is sketchy. They are charging $3500 for a designer dog, with none of the paperwork to back it up. Don’t waste your money here - huge scam.

I cannot stress enough that you should avoid pet stores. Mostly, if not all, have puppies from "puppy mills" that don't care much about the puppy's general well being. My friends bought a puppy from here as a Christmas present and, although I warned them about pet stores, they still bought one. He was the cutest little thing but days after they started noticing that the puppy won't eat and everything. They took the pup to the vet and have been in twice or more. In the end, they determined it was better to put him down because he couldn't manage to survive. Please do some research and find a reputable breeder, as hard as it is. Make sure they have social networks instead of just an email and phone number on their website so you're not getting scammed like how you're going to get scammed going to a place like this

I walked in there to share a fundraiser I was doing with the SPCA and inquire about training services for my dog and the three girls in there were incredibly rude from the get-go. They were all sitting down on their phones, no one bothered to look up or speak to me until I asked them if they worked there. I mentioned my fundraiser and and they allowed me to leave a few fliers but the atmosphere and vibe was so negative, they seemed annoyed that I would stopped in there. I was so taken aback by their behavior I decided to not even ask about training services as they made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I never leave negative reviews for business but as a small business owner myself I found this behavior to be extremely unproductive and unprofessional. I would hate if I had employees make my customers feel that way.
