I love this place and the staff is wonderful! I have been a loyal customer for 12 years. They were able to accommodate my dog's needs after knee surgeries and when he lost his hearing and eye sight. They had one person help support his weight and the other cut his nails. It's nice to know that when you take your beloved dog somewhere they treat them like family. I highly recommend this establishment! 💕

Very professional service. Great cut, left the puppy looking so handsome. We love how they allow dogs to be roaming free while they arent being groomed so that they can play and have fun instead of being in a crate. Charged $55 for a 10lb dog which has been a normal price every where we've gone, and it only took 2 hours.Will definitely be back!

Great place! My Yorkie baby was in and out and she looks and smells fantastic. You can tell they are dog lovers as soon as you start talking to them. They’re very accommodating, as my Magnolia needs extra accommodations while she gets groomed. Thank you Preppie Pooch staff!

I used to take my dog to petsuites VB but they required too many vaccines so I went to preppie pooch solely based on their amazing reviews. Shortly after his first grooming he got a really bad eye infection, so bad they thought he had acute glaucoma. This resulted in over 800 dollars in vet bills but didn't think it was related to the grooming at all.However, after his second grooming, my husband was worried because my dog had a film over his eye. I irrigated it and there was hair/leftover product in it which made me suspect that could have caused the infection last time. On top of that my dog has been shaking and so uncomfortable biting at his butt after his most recent grooming a couple days ago. I took a look and he has a lump that looks like a hemmoroid. He was fine before he was groomed, no one mentioned anything to me, and I can only assume this is due to the draining of his anal glands and them not being done at all or done incorrectly. Now I have to shell out more money at the vet.I will say, his haircut is wonderful, but his health and wellness is far more important to me. Something isn’t right about this place, as these things happening right after grooming aren’t coincidental. If you care about your dog, maybe look else where.

Great experience!! They did a wonderful job with my sheltie. He's an older rescue dog and is deaf with some vision problems too, so he can be very ornery and difficult to groom. They were amazing with him. He smells great, looks beautiful, and he was finished in under 2 hours!

I’ve been coming here for years. They do such an amazing job. I have a golden doodle which aren’t the easiest babies to groom but Diane does a perfect job and makes him look like a prince every time.

First time here and I was pleased. I’m used to my dog having the best and it’s been difficult to find that in my dear hometown. I desperately googled for a groomer that knew how to do poodles and found PP! Preppie pouch has done the best on my Sun, definitely better than Petco square cuts. I’m extremely picky with his look and they tried their best to get the ‘round’ teddy bear look I like. I was a bit shocked the inside didn’t look as ‘preppie/upscale’ as the photos online ;or what I hoped for) but it may be a work in progress. Front desk demeanor/information make up for the groomers since I’m used to speaking with them directly and did not; especially as a first time client (hopefully it was because it was a Friday and we were the last ones?) They do quote the intended price over the phone, before services which I appreciate. He did the Deluxe service per the front desk recommendation (did not push unnecessary services;love that). Highly recommend as the blueberry facial was the best part since my dog has runny eyes. His cut was round for the most part and they did get my baby’s cotton ball tail back (10/10) but i will insist next time that his cut is blended better. It was obvious his legs hair were longer than the body. His service also came with a tooth brush but either my dogs mouth was that foul or they forgot to do it because it still smelled after the appointment. His ears were also not well plucked but I’m personally concluding that for these 2 services; it’s best to see a vet. The blowout did last longer than usual before his hair curled back up, which was impressive. Overall, will come back as it’s better than Petco and around the same price with added spa features.

I love Preppie Pooch. My dog has been coming here for years and her sister did too. Always great work and my dog gets to play with the other dogs rather than being locked up like other places. I advise getting your appointments book out 3 at a time; sometimes they are booked out 8 weeks.

Very kind and good with my Yorkies. They always come out happy and the cut is always exactly what I ask for. Only issue is trying to get in the schedule. They always have a long waitlist and book several months out.

First time at Preppie Pooch and it was great! In and out in about 2 hours. I have a little dog and they made sure to ask about her comfortability around other dogs. Her haircut looks exactly as I wanted and my dog came home happy! Will be continuing to take my dog.

First professional groom for 2 littermate, long hair puppies and they did a beautiful job on both. (They were also attentive to the comfort levels of the pups upon separation and adjusted accordingly) Very happy.

My husband found PP while searching through various groomers near us. We are HIGHLY impressed with the quality of service our baby received.She went in looking like a hot mess covered in dirt and was shedding so terribly she looked like she had chicken feathers stuck to her.PP was fast and efficient! The appointment only lasted an hour and a half. When I picked my dog up, she was so happy and clean. They managed to completely de-shed her (very impressive considering my dog is a Husky) and she was dry! Every other time we've taken her to a groomer she has come back wet and still shedding. Saying we're impressed is actually an understatement.The total cost came to $80 which left me shocked because we were used to paying $120+ at other places.With the quality of service, friendliness of the staff, and the price, we'll definitely be returning in the future.

The staff at Preppie Pooch did a great job on our main man Bucket! They were so sweet and loving toward him and he left looking perfect and smelling great! We'll definitely be taking him back there for regular groomings.

Staff is very friendly and both our dogs did great! We have a mini poodle and mini aussie goldendoodle, they nailed the teddy bear faces and listened to what we wanted for each dog! Would definitely recommend them!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! At first I was in shock at the price and the time I had to wait to get my two dogs groomed here but after their appointment I could see why! I have a cane corso and a Australia Shepard / Coker spaniel . I did a deshed on the cane corso as she used to shed a disgusting amount but after taking her here not even one hair came off of her! My spaniel mix is an easy boy on hair but they are both still very soft and smelling fresh 2 weeks later!

Prepping Pooch is an awesome grooming salon. The staff are always respectful and friendly with everyone. My Yorkie Teddy always looks great. Soooo why did I choose them? I have visited 4 different grooming salons... all say that they brush them as part of the service 🙄. This place is the only one where he comes out looking fluffy like a puff ball. He is usually done within 2 hours, and always smell great. I love them.

Zola had her first grooming experience and it went so good! I am not sure the name of the groomer, I wish I did but shout out to her/him. Zola smells amazing and feels sooo soft! Will be going back

UPDATE: Preppie Pooch still grooms our now 17 year old Shih & 3 year old Cavalier & the pups always look great. Charlie gets a comfort groom because of his age, which means the groomer is extra gentle & will only do what he will tolerate. We really appreciate that.My husband and I have been taking our 2 ShihTzus to Preppie Pooch since 2013 and have always been happy with the service. It is a calming atmosphere without too many dogs on premise at one time, which is good because one of our dogs is high strung. Most recently they got their first grooming since the pandemic started. The female dog was matted on her legs because she resists brushing. The groomer had to clip her close all over and called to get our ok beforehand, which we appreciated. Preppie Pooch always makes sure the dogs look their best. Plus When we pick them up, they are always happy and calm. That’s a big plus!
