Petco on Princess Anne Road is a great location for shopping. This location floor plan is very neat and organized. Petco has a large selection of refrigerated pet food. I usually shop at several pet retail stores, but this Petco always seem to have the most stylist puppy jackets. The employees at this location are very friendly and eager to assist.

This petco has a time management issue. I drove 40 minutes for an appointment for the grooming staff to tell me that I came in at 315, which was false, then proceeded to tell me that my dog’s groomer left already. Meanwhile, I have my confirmation receipt in front of the staff stating I have my appointment at 415…it’s 408 at this time. Now I’m still left with a groomless Yorkie. She’s upset.

1/3/24: I’ve tried to shop at this location the past two evenings around 5pm and both times it was closed with a make shift sign posted saying they closed at 4pm. There’s no date on the sign so I guess they just leave it up? I tried calling the store to see what the hours will be tomorrow but there was no answer. I saw 5 or 6 other people try to go in but they left after seeing the sign.

I was assisted on the sales floor by a young man. He was very helpful. I can't remember his name. He stayed with me until I found just the right toy for my new puppy. I found 2 other items I needed and one was on sale.

I brought my dog here to get some shots done today. The girl intaking pets at the podium for the shots did not seem to care for dogs and it was really off-putting. The actual vet giving the vaccines and the women helping her seemed great tho, and the cashier was friendly as well...

Nicki is an amazing groomer and loves my golden doodle like he is her own. She ALWAYS puts the needs and health of the dogs first. I couldn't ask for a better place/groomer for my dog. She a great animal advocate.

Groomer Nicole aka Nicki or whatever name she gives herself when posting lies about a local breeder on their website. I have a dog from this breeder. I did research before applying for one of their golden doodles. These dogs have great temperament and are healthy. The breeder’s home is the nursery for these babies. They have guardian homes for the dogs in the program. This enables the dogs to have a loving home life. Many of the families have multiple dogs from this breeder.* Do not use Nicole as your groomer. She is in the wrong profession. I’d hate for her to take her aggressions out on a dog she is grooming.I’ve never heard nothing but praises regarding this breeder and her program.

Terrible service, i took my dog for a nailcut today and there’s a lady who booked our nailcut appointment and all, took my dog to the room and i saw she was yelling at my dog because my dog was nervous and didn’t wanna be there at the moment, however, how dare you yelling at my dog and getting paid for that. She had no patient and she left 2 of her nails without cutting them.Whoever took my dog to give her nailcut, she had her hair dyed to neon yellow-ish color and she seemed so unbothered that i saw she yelled at my dog. If you have no patient for animals you better not work there lady. I am not paying anything that would hurt or confuses my pet. TERRIBLE!

Clearly you need better training for your employees, especially those in grooming. Nicole to be exact. Publicly shaming a local groomer of which you have ZERO relationship and knowledge of is poor judgement and terrible business acumen. I would never use a “big box store” for grooming and this incident furthers that decision. Do better.

Do not take your dog for grooming here!! I used to take my corgi for $80 grooming with upgraded shampoo and conditioner to this place. First time was ok. But next few times she was having dry blood and skin wounds after grooming. Awful cruel employee who scratch to blood while brushing dogs. Never coming back to this slaughterhouse.

One of my favorite things Petco has is the dog treat bar. My dog absolutely loves the cream filled sandwich cookies, and a few other seasonal treats. The bar recently added the tiny training treats that are perfect for walks, and learning new commands.Petco also offers a Pet Pals reward card. Once you reach 100 points, you receive a $5 off coupon. You earn points on every purchase, 1 point equals $1 spent. There are bonus offers available as well that allow you to accumulate points faster. If you love shopping for your pets, or have multiple pets this is really a nice card to have.Some days my children, and I go in to Petco just to see the small animals that are for sale. The cages always seem to be clean, and the animals seems so happy, and healthy. They don't really allow the animals to be handled unless there is a real interest in buying which is understandable as it can cause unnecessary stress; but the staff always seem happy, and helpful answering any questions about them.

Edited: today I came for a simple nail trim, and the lady at the desk in the grooming room told me she would call me on the speaker after a lady picked her dog up. I shopped around for about an hour, waiting to be called and noticed several dogs going in and out and several times when the room was empty And she would see me standing there and not say anything. Had a very anxious pitbull and a toddler, which was not easy to walk around a pet store for as long as I did today. I will not be back.Previous 5 star rating:Brought my hard headed dog, Milah here for a grooming. Petsmart was unable to handle her but Corinne did a great job and had her looking great!

Everyone is sooo nice!!! Store is extra clean, bright, and large. Food stock seems to be pointing you more to their online shopping. I love their cookie bins upfront. My girl likes shopping there and I know it's safe for her to do so.

We go here to get our puppers nails trimmed & buffed. Well worth the money. All of the groomers are so friendly and great with our babies.

My puppy (Biscuit) had his first bath and grooming experience with Susan. I was a little nervous at first but Susan and staff made me comfortable to leave him in there care. Biscuit was loving on staff as well. Already made his next appointment. Biscuit had a great experience 😺

Groomer Nicki B will judge you and your dog. I would never use the Princess Anne Petco location for grooming. She left a review full of absolute lies about a breeder after claiming ONE dog from the program was brought in for grooming in poor condition. I can personally attest to the quality of the breeder as I have a dog from there. I am totally insulted by Nicki B's false review and judgement of owners and their dogs. She needs to learn to check her facts. Totally unfair.

Love getting bettas from here. The only big pet store that specifically sells baby bettas. I have never in my life seen bettas that are as active as a betta bought as a baby and raised in a 3 to 5 gallon tank. It's like the life inside those tiny bowls for adult bettas ruins their drive to be active.

She also left a fake review of another business she has never interacted with (which btw is defamation under the legal definition). She needs to be terminated because I certainly wouldn't want a groomer with that attitude touching my dog!

I needed a harness for my pittie ASAP and Petco was the closest store. While I did not get a harness that I actually liked, I was able to grab one that fits her and did not break the bank and it matches her leash.

Brought my dog in last month for her yearly shots and heartworm meds. After having my appointments cancelled two weeks in a row I took my dog to this store farther from my home. I can promise I will never be back to this location. My dog walked out of there covered in fleas.

Good selection of animal recourses. I plan on using the kitty litter they have to save money because it seems to be. Purchased 2 parakeets from here and they grew up very healthy.

I canceled my dogs grooming appointment after visiting the store and the grooming area. There were pet pee everywhere around the store shelves, and the dirty smell from the grooming was more than I could handle.

Comically overpriced toys but what really bothers me about this place is every time I’ve asked for help finding something, no one helped. Guess they don’t care about business.
