Love this place :) My boyfriend and I got our betta here and he is so beautiful (last two photos).The staff is very helpful. I also love looking at their goldfish. I hope I can get more fish here someday. They have marine and freshwater fish. Plants too, and lots of gear. Driftwood and rocks for aquascaping as well.

Huge selection of fish-freshwater AND marine. Lots of plants, dry goods, equipment, and decor to choose from.Staff is extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and nice.I travel over an hour just to come here for my wants and needs. I highly recommend this place.

First, the cashier and who I believe was the owner were rude, made me feel stupid for not knowing what brand a 10 year old tank, that I didn't buy, was. When I gave the dimensions, the older woman kept asking me for the brand, and that if it were two specific brands, her lids wouldn't fit.Second, I ended up leaving with no lid, after looking around at the fish I noticed several things:1. The tanks were not all well kept.2. There were several dead fish in tanks, and several dead beta fish.4. There weren't enough staff to answer questions or help the 6 other customers.Third, I went to Petco, found the exact lid in the size I needed, in the same brand that Jungle Aquatics had, for about 10 dollars cheaper.

This is one of the best fish stores I've ever visited. Tanks are very clean and customer service is awesome. I purchased a rose tail goldfish and let me say, this fish is absolutely beautiful ❤️. I've visited various stores across virginia beach and most were sold out of fancy goldfish but this store contains so many.

ABSOLUTE 10/10 🙌🏼Fish are incredibly well-maintained. This store contains HUNDREDS of tanks - freshwater and saltwater. All fish appear to be healthy, active, and vibrant in color. Tanks appear well-maintained. Aisles and decor/merchandise appear well-organized.The owner, Bob, is an absolute FISH THESAURUS. Bob can tell you basically anything and everything you need to know about fish: their upkeep/food/envinronment, as well as their genetic history. It is very apparent that Bob takes his time and has done ample research on the fish that are in his store.I spent some time with Bob today 4/1 and am absolutely hooked. I will definitely be back. I left with 7 Glofish Tetras and a male Betta fish (housed in separate tanks btw) 😍Bob, thank you SO much for being an honest and responsible fish owner/seller. My experience with Jungle Aquatics has been amazing thanks to you. I look forward to the next time I come into the store!

I was there on Saturday and I had the opportunity to talk with a gentleman that works there I am so sorry I forgot his name but he was so kind and very nice and he knew everything about fish. I wish they were closer to Newport News but I would travel here all the time. They have the largest fish show room. This is the best place to go.

Excellent staff. Hayden is an absolute JOY to talk to. He has a lot of charisma and a great listener, and provides good thought out recommendations. I forgot the other lady's name. She is a smaller blonde mom, who i usually see at register. She once showed me around the store showing me some of her favorite fish when the store was slow.Going here is one of those errands which I always like bringing a friend who isnt in the hobby to because then it becomes an outing for them. Dont tell my boyfriend though, i bring him here to try and warm him up to the idea of letting me have more tanks XD

Do not go to this store to get fish. They should be evaluated........ they are worse then petco... they always have ich in both fresh and salt water. Always have red algea in salt water. And never able to make deals on fish that could be saved . Instead the owner is killing them. AND OVER CHARGING . . They don't take care over there fish very well.. ;(

Very friendly and helpful staff. Also very knowledgeable about equipment and gave me some reasonable recommendations for upgraded lighting options. This store also has a unique variety of critters with cool “open tank” displays. Super fun to check out if you’re in the Virginia Beach area.

I'm so glad I found this place!! I had been searching for Koi angelfish for a couple of weeks to no avail, I came across this store on Google and they had so many different fish and an array of angels, including Koi! I love that the aisles are labeled with the type of fish you'll find! I will be returning.

Not really a fish person myself, but I've been in a couple times for aquarium supplies that overlap with vivarium building, and it's a pretty neat place with an array of interesting critters and plants. Looking at their unique inventory inspired me to set up a freshwater river tank and buy the pictured Electric Blue Crayfish. Very beautiful, healthy specimen and really didn't cost much at all. Store is owned and run by the people that owned Animal Jungle back in the day, if anyone remembers that gem, so you know the quality and care of the animals is definitely up to par.

Biggest fish store in the area. I'm very disappointed in some people's experience with the owner but I never dealt with him. Every employee I've dealt with was super nice and helpful. Huge huge selection of fish and supplies. My favorite fish store I've been to.

This place is a change of pace from the other fish stores I've been too in the VA Beach area. It doesn't feel cramped, dark, and theirs lots of room between the isles. They have a nice selection of salt/fresh water fish, fresh water plants, dry rock, drift wood, coral (not a big selection, but they're working on it), and dry goods. If you're into beta's, they have plenty to choose from. Not to mention they're the only place I've seen with a Beta section that automatically filters out the water. Its a friendly environment with knowledgeable and friendly staff.There are too many pro's to list, so if your in the area, check this place out.

Visited on vacation and they did have a wonderful selection of fish and accessories, however did not see an employee the entire time I was in the store. Also, all of their fancy goldfish tanks were infected with either fin rot, anchor worms, or fish lice. Buyer beware.

Very impressed with the quality and variety at this lfs!!! I needed to rehome about 50 of my Black Mollies that I’d been raising-up and was nervous to donate them, but after browsing their tanks for some time it was very apparent I picked the right place…I cannot wait to go back and purchase fish there!Most all the fish seemed healthy, very very well fed and displaying bright vibrant colors! I was excited to see all but one of my “wish list” fish, some of which are fairly odd-ball and not as common.I have been working on building a larger shoal of neon tetras which has been difficult (2/3 schools I’ve purchased were diseased). All of their neon tanks seemed to be disease free and thriving.Just wish it was closer to home ;) but will be well worth the 1.5 hr drive for this quality and selection of freshwater fish!

Store is infected with camallanus red worms. I have bought angelfish, polar blue parrots, and rainbow cichlid all a few months in between. Every fish showed red worms after about a week. Had to start my aquarium over each time. I told an employee and they seemed genuinely concerned but when I showed up a few days later they were knowingly selling infected fish. At this point I have bought fish from all over the store (not just one set of tanks) and have gotten the worms from each one which means their entire store is more than likely infected. If you want healthy fish, shopping anywhere else is a better option.

We are beginners in the hobby! My wife and I stopped by tonight and Mark was incredibly helpful. He has about 50 years of experience in the hobby and is extremely knowledgeable. He’s also very patient and will answer all your questions! Best customer service I’ve had in a while!

My overall experience with the store was fantastic. Awesome selection, fair prices, and helpful staff. Mason was so friendly and patient as I picked out a ton of plants, and gave some good recommendations. But let me also share a quick story:Not long after I arrived, while still browsing around, a random gentleman approached me and started to chit chat. At first it was aquarium related, but quickly moved into personal questions. Eventually he asked me to dinner, and when I politely let him down, he then asked me if I "had come here alone." Yikes!!!It was right at closing time when I was checking out. I explained to the cashier what had happened and asked if everyone else had left the store, in the chance that the guy was still hanging around. She was so thoughtful and took it upon herself to ask Mason to walk me to my car, which he kindly did without hesitation.How awesome is that? Talk about A+ customer service. Kudos to the staff for your care. It made me feel so much better.
