Harris Teeter is so much better than Kroger. The products look better at HT. Kroger many times the net of products contain molded product. The HT store is more clean and light. BUT the best difference are the staff. First of all at Kroger the staff is not friendly ( there are exceptions) sometimes there is no staff at all f.i. at the seafood counter at Kroger. And the speed of helping at the self check out...it takes forever at Kroger.BUT there is also a negative side to Harris Teeter...their prices are ridiculous high.A simple product as celery more then $ 2 pcs, apples , oranges to high priced.

I love Harris Teeter. A little pricey but if you only purchase the on sale items, you can get some great deals.

I've run in this HT from time to time for small items - gifts, flowers, Starbucks and a few last-minute needs if I am in the area running errands already. It's not close enough to be one of my regular haunts for groceries - but it's nice and clean and well-stocked with the usual items they sell.Their floral department is wonderful for potted small plants, seasonal plants, and flowers for gifts and occasions as I've purchased them here multiple times.

Deli staff saw me waiting to get deli meat and when I gave them my order the woman rolled her eyes and said “it’s right behind you!” With a very indignant tone. When I said “all I saw was ham” she pointed to it and walked away muttering to herself. For a “high end” grocery chain my experience was far from high end.

The store is laid out well. Enough staff to assist customers and they had 3 live cashiers working.

This is my favorite Harris teeter because it’s bright, pretty clean, and has a nice atmosphere. There are plenty of employees on duty that want to help you. The customer service desk has a colorful background and is usually manned.

Pro: very good meat and fish market, excellent choice everywhere, large produce, pizza, ribs, sandwiches…good deli.Con: bait and switch at fish market (see below). Very expensive. Ridiculous pricing based on store card (up to 4x price if you don’t have card). Self checkout is worthless because they have like 10 small carts and the area just doesn’t fit large carts, not to mention long waits for alcohol approval. At fish market, beware. They’ll price similar items differently, e.g., one form of salmon by the pound for $3x and another by the piece for $2x. But if you weigh the pieces, the per piece salmon in $4x per pound. Very misleading. Local produce is more expensive but often less tasty. I buy (carefully) meat and fish there, then head to Food Lion or ALDIs.

Glad this Harria Teeter is open now. 4 stars only because the Red Mill Harris Teeter has an Asian hot bar... would like to see that here.

Annoyed employees and bad structure. This location used to be our favorite, but lately it has gone downhill with customer service and overall attitude from employees. I feel like a nuisance every time I shop there. If I get a cart full of groceries, I am given horrible eye rolls, looks and comments from employees.I spend about $300-$500 each trip. We don’t have the luxury of shopping once or twice a week, we have to do it every few weeks and Harris Teeter is our store of choice. If this is not acceptable, then we will take our business elsewhere, but I assumed you were allowed to buy as much as you need, but guess not!Tonight was the straw that broke the camel’s back. There was one register open and after being greeted with annoyed looks from the cashiers, we decided to attempt the self checkout to stay out of everyone’s hair.We kept having the “help is on the way” notification, making it very hard to continue our checkout and obviously annoying the employee on duty. He got mad that we didn’t wave him down, but we didn’t realize he wasn’t notified. The machine said “help is on the way” not, “go find help”…We were mortified having to bother employees each time the machine called for assistance. We didn’t know what would be more of an annoyance, us at self checkout or us in the only checkout line holding up everyone else. We felt like everyone working there wanted us banned for life for buying a lot, which wasn’t really that much, it’s not like we had multiple carts, just one fulll one.Either fix the cashier schedule algorithm or make self checkout easier for large shops. Really such a horrible experience and we also dropped hundreds of dollars. I push my trips back each time because I dread going and getting treated like this. Even my husband said he was very uncomfortable and disappointed. I understand the employees were probably stressed and overwhelmed being short staffed, but that’s no excuse for being snarky and rude to customers paying large bills at your place of work.

I loved it. Always liked HT, but they have made huge improvements since Kroger bought them, one of the best features is that most of their prices were reduced. The next result is a high end, top service grocery store and shopping experience fr ver reasonable prices. I'd shop at HT exclusively if they had everything, but it's my home store and I go elsewhere only if they don't have something. Highly recommened.

This is our go-to grocery store. They have pretty good quality food at reasonable prices and it is very clean in there. The staff is friendly and gets you out quickly. They are also very eager to help you find anything in the store that you cannot find on your own

Great grocery store honestly and I’ll continue to go here. However, if they have “things” within their store they profit from as a company they should also have liability for said things. I’ve used the Coinstar machine in there for years, as a business owner in retail I get about $500 worth of coins every few months. I used to just dump in buckets of change without knowing how much I even had to begin with. I figured “of course the machine is accurate, otherwise it would be illegal right”? Well I saw a thing online where a guy tested out 5 costar machines and only 1 of them was accurate. So this time, with my buckets of change in hand I started by counting out $16.00 worth of misc change and dumping it in. With only $16, they’ll machine said I dumped in $14.68. now that’s a huge error considering I had about $500 worth of coins and have been doing this for years! A manager lady came over and explained “they have nothing to do with Coinstar.” Now I get that it’s not like I’m complaining the apples are brown, but yet you are a paid middle man for Coinstar so the fact that it’s just nobody’s problem isn’t right. The fact the machine is stealing 6-7% of the money provided is unethical. Now these aren’t the Coinstar fees being deducted I’m talking about. This is way before that at the counting screen where it says you’ve dumped in 27 quarters when in fact you counted out 30. Over the years of dumping in thousands of dollars of change at a rate of 6% error, it’s estimated I’ve lost $120 just to this “error” that happens to always happen in their favor.

I used to like going to this location but after an incident I decided to stop. One day me and my daughter were shopping and a random male who worked there began singing to us. It was very odd, I made a comment about not being able to find something and this junior associate started singing my comments along with the song playing on the speakers in the store. You know how they always have sad 80s FM playing in grocery stores, so I looked at the guy and asked what was he doing? But he playfully ran off. Then at checkout he approached me and my daughter asking if I needed something from him, I told him, why were you signing to me?He said he wasn’t and he just likes singing at work. I said, you were looking at us and singing, making eye contact when we couldn’t find a product. He denied it and walked away.Soooo I don’t want to go to a store we’re a random cart pusher guy sings to me and then denies it. It’s rude and I don’t care for it. I’ll just go to Food Lion next door.

This is definitely a grocery store for one stop shopping because they also have a pharmacy! I don’t really remember why I was here but I’m sure it was to grab some little things! So I stopped here to get some beer and also to grab my moms medication. Usually avoid check out with cashiers since they have a fully automated self checkout. They have an assortment of different foods here!

Sadly came to my regular Harris Teeter for three things on my way home at 8:53 PM. I checked google and saw they were open until 9:00 PM, but myself and another customer were turned away at the main door being told they closed at 9:00 PM. I pointed to my watch that it wasn’t 9:00 PM but the clerk did not care. Spent my money at Food Lion instead and will likely move my prescriptions and do more of my shopping elsewhere where I am more valued.

Eh, it's Kroger with more expensive prices. The exact same stuff but a dollar or two more and they're owned by the same company. Whoever this Harris is, he has me teetered...

Compared to the HT on Artic Ave, this one gets 10 stars. I now shop here instead of Artic Ave HT. This store is so much cleaner and organized. The only item that disappoints is the chocolate chip cookies, they’re over baked.

I love this store with my vic/e-vic weekly specials but my 4 rating came from me being over charged and having to take out time to return to the store for a refund. I try to watch the screen when the cashier is ringing it but never figured it would be rung up again before he finally got it in the bag.
