Update:Horrible! - please scroll and veiw pic of bug in salad bar.A very large bug.And management had the sheer audacity to ask "Are you a tourist?"‐--------------------Very nice location. Well maintained and very clean.Shelves are always stocked, and the produce is always good. Off season, it doesn't get that busy. Employees were friendly enough as well.

I wouldn’t normally post a review for one bad experience but I just had my second bad experience with the boarhead/fresh sub department. I went two days in a row to get a sub for the beach. Both days I was ignored for about five minutes and then when I was finally addressed, I got “what ya having” without even a look at me. I ordered and yesterday my sub was made right to order. Today the lady at the counter not only made it with the wrong meat entirely, but added the tiniest portion of veggies possible. I had to ask for a few more because it almost seemed like she was doing it on purpose. This is just by far the worst harris teeter close to me, we go for convenience seeing as it’s the closest to me and because some of the cashiers make our experience a little better.

Harris Teeter is my place! There aren't really any supermarkets close to the oceanfront at least by walking/biking distance but Teeter always comes through. It always comes down to me missing an ingredient, and having to head here really quick to get it. Greatly stocked store and impressive open times. Friendly staff and very clean store. Love this place!

Harris Teeter, Virginia Beach was absolutely great! We always find some exciting delicious meals here. 😋! The parking lot was packed for starters. The store was inviting and clean. There were alkinds of apples, pears, fruits that I didn't know the name of. The salad bar was ready to eat, and there was prepared shrimp already priced and those to select was delicious too, so you know I just had to get some, yummy! This store as others offers all kinds of products 😍, from dog and cat foods, to ice cream and fruit pops. 😋. We are still traveling...enjoying our birthday 🎂 days together ❤️. We traveled to Virginia Beach and enjoyed the Sunrise this morning. What a beautiful Sunrise! Well you know the deal, be sure to Pay it Forward with hugs and kisses. Tell someone you love them, don't let a moment pass. Life is too short. God loves you too. Well got to go...be Cool 😎 !

Went to grab some subs for the beach. First day we got one, the old white man with a tattoo on his neck was rude, and seemed like he hated his job. Second day we went to grab one, older black lady was BEYOND RUDE! Didn’t even cut the bread all the way, and made one half of the sub literally so big that the other half was barely a half. Had to keep telling her to add more tomato’s because she sorted through the tomato’s and grabbed the smallest ones she could. They both were AWFUL!!!!! Subs were good though LOL

My daughter shopped at this very location today... as she scanned her items (SEAFOOD) she noticed shoppers walking out without showing a receipt but when she walked out the employee chased her down to view her receipt AS IF SHE HAD STOLEN THE CRABLEGS my daughter showed her the receipt CAME BACK and RETURNED ALL ITEMS AND RECEIVED HER MONEY BACK then walked back in asked for a manager and began to explain the situationThe manger said that she would address the employee we aren't sure if that happened or not .the moral of the story is check all receipts if that's your POLICY don't just pick and choose which shopper you FEEL LIKE CHECKING. I would love to speak to the management that's above the manager of the store

It's just my local store really but the security guard that works at night has such a nice demeanor every time I go shopping, guy is like the friendly neighborhood Spidey.

The store is ok. I did like that they have pizza at the beach location now. However I won't be ordering anymore from here. They have people working in the pizza department that don't even know how many slices a large pizza should have. Plus it's always raw.. even when asking for it to be cooked longer. I bought my last one from here last Fri and had to put it in the oven when I got home because the dough was raw. Never again. Can't wait for Publix to get here.. I'll just have a pub sub with perfectly cooked bread every time instead. Oh and fix your backwards check out. Who ever thought of that isn't very smart. It sets your cashier's up to do everything. You WILL lose staff to Publix just because of that..and they pay more and have great benefits.. you're welcome :)

* A vegetarian ... but not a weird tree-hugger ... this location is a staple at the Oceanfront.Even after, relocating a few blocks from Arctic, I still purchase my produce from Harris Teeter ... * when not shopping at our local farmer's markets.If visiting or vacationing at the Oceanfront, skip the 'touristy' Walmart at Hilltop for 'clean' & competitive shopping at Harris Teeter.Not to be overshadowed ... the Staff & Management are also pretty awesome.

I loved working here until there was a change in management. I continued to shop here as it's close and still like seeing most former co-workers. I guess the new management has trained the new cashier's because, more and more, I'm running into the rudest employees at checkout. This location will never keep good quality workers as long as things stay the way they are.

One stop shop. Grocery store had everything that I needed and more. Somewhat pricey but small price to pay for convenience. They have their own rewards program which saves 10 or 20 percent depending on deals.

2020-December: They didn't have a "hot bar" (because of pandemic) but they did have ready-made wraps, delicious ranch ckn subs, sushi items, and many other foods. Nice choices!

This HT is not my first choice and by far not the nicest in town - but it does have the staples and it will get you through.Bc it’s the closest to me it’s what I’ve been using but their deli area and fresh fish and such isn’t as large or well stocked.Plenty of parking and bike friendly with a large Starbucks in the entry.

For some reason I needed the number to Harris Teeter on Artic Ave. to see if they had an item and I noticed a bad review from a Wayne Hazelwood about MY lady Jessica. He said she needed training because she was rude and told him that the self-checkout was down. Well let me say this if you think JESSICA needs training you are out of your mind. I have seen her pay for groceries for a couple with kids who did not have money for their order. She is the ONLY manager that is not behind Customer Service and on the floor bagging groceries or physically on a register. I have seen her pray for someone because they were feeling bad and she will walk you over to an item that you are trying to find. How much more training does she need. I think that she deserves more than 5 stars and I’m calling corporate to see if they can take that down. Wayne you are probably rude and think everyone is being rude to you. With this she was at self-checkout as a MANAGER the management in that store hides out I do know the Customer Service Manager and that is ONLY because Jessica showed me who she was. I have witnessed her step in for cashiers when customers are being down right nasty to them and several employees stated they love when she is here because works with them. Harris Teeter you did a FANTASTIC JOB of hiring this young lady and I hope that Wayne’s nasty attitude doesn’t return to that store being nasty to my favorite girl. I would give her more stars but they would only allow me five. I will also get my mother and sister who loves coming to the store when she works to give her good reviews because no one is going to make her leave us. She is the breath of fresh air that the store needed.

I was at checkout just before noon today and stepped up to the self checkout (cash only register). As I started the process, I asked Jessica the associate working the area to help me with my register due to the screen being stuck from the previous customer. She then with a very rude voice decided that everyone in the area should know that I cut the line and she can’t help me. First, there was no one in front of me when I stepped to the register. Second, she didn’t have to publicly shame me for something that didn’t happen. This is something that nobody should have to endure in a public setting. I hope this Harris Teeter can train employees to not speak with arrogance and rudeness when issues like these arise.

I like Harris teeter though it's usually a bit more expensive. I found this ones pre-made food section a bit more sparse than the ones where I live. I like that this one is also stocked with things one might need at the beach. Staff is really friendly.

This Harris Teeter is going down hill. Go to the Harris Teeter at Great Neck, much nicer. Cleaner and well stocked.It my be an another mile or two out of your way but we’ll worth it.

I have been a customer at this store for a long time and I have to say of all the Harris Teeter‘s in the Virginia Beach area This is by far the worst one. The carts are dreadful, so how about replace them. Stop stocking rotten vegetables, and fruits. Get the pricing correct and be helpful. Consistently below average.

I love this place. Use this place for my medication. Use it for any birthday balloons/party stuff. They always seem to have something unique that you can’t find anywhere else. Usually all reasonably priced, I would recommend getting a Harris Teeter Vic card!

I went to this location at 11:09 because online they are open until midnight. I get there and am told that they closed at 11:00 instead. I wasn't the only person there, there were at least 5-6 other vehicles that came by to get groceries and were told the location was closed.Update the hours online...

Workers not very friendly. Was in the produce dept. The guy never even said hi or anything. My son and I were looking for something and he never offered any information. I mean when you see people walking around looking here and there, why wouldn't you say " Hey can I help you find something?" The cashier was the only person who had a great attitude. I work in customer service and a smile and a hello goes a long way!

They hired a kid there and literally someone caught a slight attitude with them because they wasn't exactly doing their job correctly and the guy had been waiting a hot min! The guy asked him when he was going to help him and the little boy literally catches an attitude first with "I'll be there to help you in a min" and so the man gives an attitude back with "when because I've been waiting" and then this child literally calls over security over it 🙄 seriously little kids that can't handle an attitude does not need to be working in retail they're just not mature enough ESPECIALLY in a day and age they get pampered to! That little boy should be fired frfrCome to think of it they may have already did that because I haven't seen the kid in a while so good for them if they didOtherwise, other then the high prices the store is fine and most of the staff is awesome other then the one complaint! I walked out that day and left everything behind for the kid to put up because that's a big nope
