Staff is wonderful. Upfront cost. Staff took the time to discuss options & explain / display home recovery procedure in a way I could understand. Fortunate to have Urgent Care hours because just after hours of being home, my pup needed to return after disrupting her recovery. My dog wasn’t afraid to return after surgery & that says a lot.

First time visit for myself and Buster. The reception staff was extremely friendly. Dr. Caitlyn Hearst and her associate was great. Every employee we passed was kind and friendly. Seems everyone is pet friendly. I highly recommend Vinton Veterinary Clinic and Hospital.

This was our first visit and everyone was so nice. Front desk staff was very helpful and Dr. Gallagher listened to my concerns and loved on my Great Dane and was very sweet. This will definitely be our new vet office of choice.

We used this facility for urgent care for our dog that was having a medical issue. The staff was very friendly, courteous, professional, and caring. The facility itself is very nice and clean. They seen our dog, did an assignment, and came up with a game plan quickly and efficiently. They took time to listen to me and did not make us feel rushed. The pricing was fair. I highly recommend this place and it's staff.

We were able to make an appointment on the same day for our sick dog. The doctor and staff was very nice and was able to find what was wrong with her. The next day she started to feel better. They are awesome. I would recommend them.

The first time I visited Vinton vet and I will not return. When the doctor came in she crouched down in my dogs face, my dog barked at her, it scared her and she screamed. She took my dogs leash, walked out with him and slammed the door. I will repeat, she slammed the door. When she returned with my dog she had not done an exam so I don’t know why she took him. She insisted the dog was reactive in the lobby but was mistaking him for the wrong dog. I don’t know why that is relevant. She didn’t even let him smell her before she crouched in his face. She said she got in his face to do an oral exam. She also implied that I didn’t react fast enough when the dog barked at her. I offered to pay the bill and leave. She pressed to do the exam with a muzzle. I told her it was her decision to do the exam since she was scared of him. She still wanted to do the exam. She brought the muzzle, cracked the door and dropped it on the bench next to the door. I put the muzzle on the dog, she took him back and did the exam. I paid the bill and left with no oral exam or further incidents. My dog never bit her and he was not reactive until she crouched down in his face.

I’m new to the area. Several people recommended Vinton Vet for my fur babies, and I’ve been very pleased. The vet took her time to thoroughly answer all my questions. The vet & clinical staff were also so patient with my dog who is terrified every time he has to go to the vet.

They are professional, kind, and extremely caring. The vet tech (I can’t remember his name, longer hair & glasses) dealt with me and was so patient with me when I had to use the urgent care after hours when my older dog caught the nasty virus that was going around a few months back and I was so worried I could barely form a sentence and even left my wallet at home and they worked with me on that as well so I could go home and get it while they checked her over! They called me the next day and a week after to check on Turbo as well, I understand a day after phone call but a week later checking in was great! We recently had a wellness check up and they helped me pick which paw plan I could afford for both of my dogs and are so kind and listened to all of my concerns and helped me get my dogs back on track for everything! Again they called to check on Turbo and give me my results in a timely manor the next day at 8 am, any other place it was days if not a week! Dr. Snead was short sweet and straight to the point! I definitely recommend them especially with how much they’ve grown over the years and the after care options which will definitely help if we have another emergency situation and waaaay cheaper than the emergency vet!

Staff is always very kind and helpful. Brought my dog in yesterday for the first time in a while and our doctor was very caring and got down on her level. She didn’t push her limits or anything just did what she could do give her a positive exam experience. Very glad to have such a wonderful team of veterinarians and staff. Love this clinic. Veterinarians are wonderful, they are very caring and take time to be sure your pets are well taken care of . The entire staff loves pets and shows it . Very pleasant , clean environment. Prices are fair . I highly recommend Vinton Veterinarian Hospital.

Great staff! The only aspect I disliked was how they did a the entirety my pet’s exam in the back. I didn’t think it would be everything, I thought it would be just so they could get a blood sample and do a nail trim. I would have been more comfortable being with my pet during the rest of the exam so I could ask questions and hear feedback as he got his checkup.

They are just the best and I so appreciate the extra time and consideration given to our little rescue dog who has been traumatized throughout his life. Todd came home and he showed no effects of anything that would tell me he wasn't treated well. He was happy and playfully and glad to see me. He was clean and smelled good. Thanks for taking care of him while I was away!

I took my dog for her first visit yesterday 3-5-24. Everything was absolutely amazing. Everyone there made my baby feel as comfortable as they could and made her visit a great one. I have found my new veterinarian for my baby.

amazing service and very thorough explanations of the whole process and how i will need to care for my baby. i brought my dove in for respiratory issues and they were able to see her the day that i called to ask for an appointment. the whole environment is very welcoming and they even put your pets name up on a whiteboard before you come in which i though was so cute. they handled my baby very well and she didn't seem stressed when she came back from getting blood drawn and an exam, just tired. the exotic vet, dr hill, is very nice and answered any questions i had regarding treatment and how long it would take to get results back. very thankful to have them around here to help my girl!

*Update. They contacted me to discuss the situation. Stated they did administer pain/comfort meds…no one on the “kitten’s” side was made aware of this until yesterday.Also, informed me it was “state mandated” that they not treat until someone fills out/signs “responsible party” paperwork YET the second vet office started treatment IMMEDIATELY without knowing anything of payment or responsible party. My perception remains unchanged. The first concern is money followed by treatment.Absolutely astonished at the lack of compassion and inhumane attitude. In essence a “community stray” was found injured. One neighbor took the injured kitten here. Another neighbor was en route to Florida offered to take financial responsibility…they spoke to the vet office, they offered to sign whatever documents required via email…yet this “vet” office refused to do any treatment until papers were signed and offered no way to sign via email or digitally…all the while having the injured kitten in their office. The neighbor traveling offered credit card information…”vet” said they would TAKE PAYMENT but WOULD NOT TREAT UNLESS there was a signature.They didn’t even medicate the poor animal to ease its suffering. In town neighbor was advised by traveling neighbor to take cat to Vets for Cats. Before Vets to Cats had ANY FINANCIAL DISCUSSION or discussion of responsibility they IMMEDIATELY took the kitten and administered pain medication and started treatment. THEN VETS TO CATS took this one step further that illustrated true compassion and love of animals by ASSUMING TREATMENT of this little soul…Vinton Veterinarian…SHAME ON YOU!!

I recently had to take my cat Mick to the new Vinton Vet facility and I’m here to tell you it was one of the best experiences that I have ever had. The vet that saw Mick was Dr Carey and she was amazing!! and so was her assistant!! Thank you Vinton Vet for employing such wonderful doctors and assistants that truly care.

Our old lady kitty was in the final stages of cancer and the time had come to choose her peace and comfort over our need to keep her with us. The wonderful staff at Vinton Veterinary Hospital made the process as painless as it could be, so that we could focus on saying goodbye to our family member of 16 years.

I would just like to say thank you for treating my sweet girl Aspen so kindly while she was so sick, even though she didn't make it I'd like to say thank you all for trying so hard to save her, especially the kind staff women who took her back from me when I walked in, I'm sorry I don't remember your name but you were so wonderful to me while we were going through such a hard time. this was last Saturday 2/3. I had my first experience with Dr. Courtney and the team at Vinton Vet yesterday. Everyone I encountered was so friendly and happy to be there, and their true love for animals was very evident. My dog took to them immediately and was calm and happy. He really had a great experience! Their preventive vet plan was reasonably priced and brought me peace of mind in knowing that I can better budget for pet expenses. Thank you to all of you for the great service and care!

First off all I want to say is I appreciate you guys helping us with our dying dog your staff was amazing.The only issue I had when having to make the decision on letting our dog go was the fact that your staff was so inconsiderate of the situation consistently coming in asking for payment payment payment payment payment payment very unprofessional when a grieving family is having a hard time with their dog being put down that has been with the family for 13 years I get that you have to collect payment I understand that but that could have been done after not during not before but consistently coming in the room and asking every two three minutes about payment was very very unprofessional of your staff to do that I get it that you have to get paid I understand that but there's other ways of asking for payment whether it's the next day whether it's after the whole situation has been done but very unprofessional very inconsiderate of your staffYou don't have to call and apologize to me my family is already grieving for the loss of our dog I very appreciative that you guys took care of our dog and then everything you could but I was very very angry with your staff consistently asking about payment when we're trying to grieve.

Dr O’Connor and the entire team are fantastic! They were all kind, Dr O’Connor was thorough and gentle with my little guy. The hospital was clean and welcoming. They also are up to date on the latest techniques and technology, and also offer specialty services. Highly recommend!!
