Don't have a service dog but want to bring ole fluffy in anyway? No problem! Kroger LOVES for you to bring your dog in! In fact get the cart all nice comfy for your dog and then head straight to the produce section. I hope someone brings in their Mastiff one day or heck why not your pet bird/cat/rat? ALL animals are allowed. The service dog only sign at the front is just a little inside joke ;) Kroger also likes to not respond to messages/concerns about animals in the store so don't bother. Kroger is just above the law I guess.My favorite dog was the Chihuahua running around off-leash and no collar barking at people. I unfortunately don't have that gem of a photo to share. Shucks.

If you have a weird schedule, this is your store. If you have work at 6:30AM, and you need to snatch that baby food, zip back home and dip - this is your store for that 6:05AM checkout. If you're that shopper who needs the goods at 11:45, this is the 12AM grocery store that shuts down at 11:59, but makes sure you got your goods if you checkout by 11:57.I've been shopping here for 2+yrs, and this is the only place I can reliably run to at first or last minute, because they honor their times. Honor their workers' time (please), but this is what will always make them stand out to me. I appreciate y'all so much.

My sister and brother in law went to Kroger yesterday to use Western Union to pay their mortgage and the customer service representative LAURA refused to complete a transfer so they can pay. She did not give any explanation except that we don’t do that amount here. Never heard that before. We have used western union for years and we have worked with Western union when we were in our teens. We never treated customers that way or did we get treated that way by anyone. Only after my sister, who is expecting had to call and tell her why was he not served. And then she stated that we cannot discuss over the phone. When my sister came to the store, she then realized that her behavior was unacceptable. I will be complaining to corporate as well. We can not have these services available and then turn people away just because we assume that they are not qualified to do so. SHAME ON YOU.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a positive experience in this store. Constantly out of stock of common items, employees are nowhere to be found when I need to ask a question, there are rarely enough registers open so you’re forced to use the self-checkout which are always having issues, etc etc. I can’t remember the last time I left this Kroger in a good mood. Seems to be mismanaged from the top down.

This store is rediculous. I called to speak to a manager to ask about a specific item and a random worker answered and his lack of knowledge and quite frankly his confusion about anything I asked was sad. He said nobody was there but him ( in the etore) and that he couldn't tell me anything about the item u was asking about and he couldn't leave his spot tp find out. Husband went to buy a chuck roast at $3.99 a pound on 2/5/24. There was a big sign saying CHUCK ROASTS--$3.99 lb.He came home with a bottom round roast thinking it was a chuck roast since he does not know the cuts of meat. So it was returned. Kroger's signs in Vinton need to match what is under the signs in order to avoid confusion.Kroger at Vinton is the worse managed store in the Roanoke Valley, in my opinion, since one has to watch the receipts like a hawk in order to not be overcharged. The prices at checkout often do not match the sales price.

Kroger pick up is useless, takes longer than going in the store. They will not notify of unavailable items to have a sub option until pick up & it’s a guaranteed wait of at least 20 -30 minutes even when you give the “on my way” notification. Doesn’t matter if you’re the only car for pick up, still a wait.

I shop here almost every day. They have excellent customer service. There are so many friendly employees that go out of their way to treat their customers very good. They have pretty much anything you need at this store. I also absolutely love the new Starbucks that they have there. Everyone that works there is very nice. They also have delicious frappuccinos. I give this Kroger a 5 star!!

The bathrooms here in are absolutely disgusting. I wouldn't bring my dog in these bathrooms. It looked like someone took a hose and sprayed EVERYTHING. Literally everything was soaked, including the toilet paper. I'll be calling corporate. I can't imagine a mother having no choice but to use the disgusting changing station for her baby. The whole bathroom is riddled with mold and mildew.

How do you substitute chicken tenders with bagels? I truly don't understand. In store is great. Ordering is a 50/50 guess even if you mark no substitute.

Grocery pickup time is soooo slow. I waited 55 minutes today for my order to be brought out. I could have driven there, shopped, and been home in that time.

Deli hours are 8 am - 9 pm per Google overview and according to the sign at the deli counter. I was there at 11:15 am 8-1-23 and a lady far behind the counter hollered “I think she’s a at lunch.” This is the second time I’ve gone to get something from the deli recently and no one was available to assist. I understand the employee shortage situation, but it would be just lovely if Kroger cared enough about their customers’ time to let us know in advance. Post your hours!!! No excuses.

I have been a shopper here for years. These bathrooms do, and always have, need some seriously better care and attention and that’s no secret to anyone who frequents Kroger in Vinton. Tonight, 8/12/23 at 8pm was overboard. This is really unsanitary and it smelled absolutely foul. Gag-worthy. Do better!

I shop at this Kroger very often and for the most part am very happy, but I was very irritated the last time I was there and saw a dog in one of the shopping carts where I put my food. This is not the first time I have seen this..I do know this is against the law and FDA regulations but no one said anything, which was very disturbing. I would like to know that I don't have to worry about bringing home dog hair or fleas with my food. Please take care of this issue immediately.

The cake printer broke the day of the party and they completed something even better by hand. The Assistant manager Megan was very instrumental in getting this done. I would not go to any other Kroger or cake decorator! He will love this cake!!!!!

I really don’t like to leave a bad review however I really feel that I should. Zero stars would be my choice but it’s not an option unfortunately. I placed an online grocery order around 11:30 am with a pickup slot of 4-5 pm. I received a call from the store telling me that they were unable to complete my order for that time slot due to issues at the store. They couldn’t give me an answer on a pickup time. I waited until around 6 pm and called to check if complete and was told no. So, I asked if I could have it for the next morning 8-9 am. Again I waited but no text so at 10 am I called and was told it was ready. Thanks for letting me know! I showed up to pickup and had to go in as part of it was my sister’s order and had to be paid with EBT and the rest was mine and was to be paid with my debit card. Well, the EBT card was swiped then my debit card…all good right? NO! A couple days later I noticed on my banking app that the entire total was deducted from my card so I checked with my sister and she called to check her EBT balance and nothing was deducted from her card. What a major screw up Kroger! I appreciate your stupid employee. Now I can’t pay my light bill! My mistake for not looking at my receipt closer.

my husband bought 2 packs of chicken, got home to realize they were both rotten but still in the best buy date. When I went back to return them I bought a jar of strawberry preserves.. I opened them and they are rotten too. Seal was intact, also in best buy date. What are the odds?

I went to return some ice cream and the customer service desk was closed. I waited in a cashiers line and when I got up there they told me no one could return it because the customer service desk was closed. I understand it being closed but there should be someone in the building that can take returns.

This is definitely an above-average Kroger. They have more available than most and the store is spacious which just makes crowded hours feel less stressful. I won't give 5 stars because it seems like the pharmacy line is always 20 people long and I have heard from friends who don't do self-checkout that the lines can be pretty slow.
