I must say This Goodwill in Vinton has the worst front of the house staff. Debbie I think is her name needs to go as well as the manager. Are they sisters? Because there rudeness an smart mouth are the same. The way the manager talks to a customer is absolutely shocking! Who trains the people and then let's them act like disrespectful rude, just plain nasty employees! I use to a spend 200 to 300 hundred a month there not anymore! And the clothing I've donated extremely nice designer brands not anymore. They say u can come in buy clothes but can't try them on if u get hme don't like an return u have 7 days. And guess what they are keeping your money 'no WAY in hell' are u getting your payment back! but they will give you store credit. Seems to me they are running over top of customers! U can't try clothes on there.. They keep your money... Store credit... Seems to me they have a racket going on!! I shouldn't have to pay for other guests behavior. Closing the fitting rooms is beyond crazy, stupid! And there prices... Hell I can get new stuff at other stores for there asking prices. And quite frankly nobody likes to shop where the staff is disrespectful, rude, plain nasty! You need to get this store cleaned up put nicer staff in there and we want care as much about the over prices, no fitting rooms.

The prices are unreal, obviously nobody thinks about the poor consumer that shops there. (Hence why we come to Goodwill and not the Mall) U would think staff to have a better attitude towards their customers. This Vinton location has the worst staff of any goodwill I have been too. I stop here because of it's location. The people pricing need to be fired! Hellllooo these items are donated! That means given to u free! I used to love diggn in the bins, now just junk. No matching curtains, never matching sheets nor sizes. Forest and Lynchburg best Goodwill for you $

Goodwills are a complete scam. Go give to an actual charity if you want to give away clothes for free because they are going to mark up everything so high where low income folks will not be able to afford it. This particular Goodwill has always had negative experiences for me but especially during covid they were extremely rude. And post covid their customer service has only succeeded in getting lower. Their racks are disgusting. And even complete garbage furniture they have priced at 200 plus dollars. It is ridiculous.

My boyfriend shops often at the Vinton store and the cashier at that place is as rude as the day is long. She continues to harrass him and find ways to combat about every purchase. Today she told him that he couldn't pay with quarters and specifically said that they have a rule stating that they cannot accept change because its too much to count at the end of the night. WHAT? EXCUSE ME? IT'S GOODWILL AND WHO IS SHE TO SAY WHAT GOODWILL WILL ACCEPT AS PAYMENT.? Money is money! She called the manager on the phone and asked if they could accept the $7 in quarters.Ok so if they don't want to the job then hire someone who is competent and willing to do what is required. I plan on contacting someone about this lady because I have heard enough! This is rediculous! If I have to go to this store snd put this lady in her place then I will do it!!! SPENDING QUARTERS IS NOT ILLEGAL LADY! I BET I COME UP IN THERE WITH PENNIES AND DARE HER TO SAY A WORD. And who is in charge of pricing this stuff? Its out of hand to say the least!

Employees are nice and helpful, but half the items and clothes they have are broken. Which is fine if it's an article of clothing that has a small tear at the seam or an item that can be easily fixed. But they shouldn't be selling broken items and ratty clothing that's been donated for nothing. If somethings broken or is missing something it should be labeled and the prices should reflect that. Selling unfixable items that were donated isn't right.

I am doing community service at this Goodwill location and the store managers are very rude. They do not seem friendly at all!! I don't even think I have even seen a smile on their faces. I almost feel as if they look at me in a judgmental way due to the fact I am there for community service for getting into trouble but thats just my opinion and I feel that way because they do not seem very friendly towards me. The sales associates are nice tho! The store is pretty clean and for the most part organized well. The furniture seems a little high priced! I'll be glad when I am thru with my community service bc not being in a friendly work environment is very uncomfortable!!

I did not have a good experience. Employees were very rude, except for one boy who got in trouble for trying to help me. all the other stores has gotten in a certain product. And already sold out the vinton store has the product. And, I ask about it.and they looked at me like I committed a crime. I don't think it's far to hold back something for just certain people. And once someone is there with money ready to buy. I feel they should carry their asses back there and bring it out. Especially? When what I want is 2 dollars a piece.and I was offering 3 dollars a piece and would take everyone they had but no. they must just be holding for select customers, I guess.

They have gotten lazy, check the clothing VERY GOOD because they OBVIOUSLY dont , 2 different Jean's for kids had holes about 2 inches on the backsides, there is no way you could have missed it, several womens shirts had stains on them. Lastly they had dollar tree items for $2 up to $8 and the dollar tree was right next door!! RIDICULOUS!!

As always Goodwill is great. The store was very nice, things were nice and tidy. The only drawback is they really have started going up on some of their prices in the past couple years. I will still shop there for some time to come.

The store is lacking in cleanliness. And prices are out of line. It seems the clothing and books are all priced the same at every Goodwill, but the furniture and household goods are priced way to high sometimes at this particular store. I've actually saw items with a price tag from the original store it came from (not a yard sale sticker, actual tag from store) and the Goodwill has priced the item substantially above the original price it sold for ! Not my favorite store at all !

DO NOT DONATE HERE! If you donate your unwanted items because you want to help those in need this isn't the place for you. Any item that isn't a standard goodwill price is severely overpriced. Their furniture prices are ridiculously expensive. Some priced for more than they would be new. This is only the Vinton Goodwill. I have never seen prices like this at any other Goodwill in Roanoke. Donate to them or The Salvation Army if you want to help the community.

My Wife and I took a load of clothes, etc. To Goodwill Vinton. A couple of guys brought a big cart out to back of dock and watched as we had to unload the entire truck.Another guy also joined to watch. I had some very nice name brand clothes and have alot more.But, I will find somewhere else to just give dollars to as the paid help stand around and watch.Very sad the help they are paying to do nothing.

When you bring back a shirt that doesnt fit you have to get another clothes item & I think as long as your buying there you should be able to trade for any item you want like today they didnt have anymore shirts I wanted so I HAD to get shirts I really didnt want & I needed toys etc for Grandkids so why cant you trade for whatever you really need or want??? Stupid Rules that make you NOT come back!!

Average Goodwill store. There's a lot of merchandise in the back part of the store that needs to be processed and put out on the racks. I didn't find anything at all that I liked today. I don't think there was any electronic equipment either
