This is the perfect property for the perfect price point! The application process was seemly and not painstaking. Housekeeping was on point and accommodating to my night shift life. The manager, Allison, was so easy to get along, kind and helpful! There was never a problem I had that she couldn’t help fix! She gives great restaurant recommendations too! The property was clean, pest free, and quiet. It’s in a quiet town called Vinton. The neighbors seemed nice and respectful. There was never an issue with parking. The drive to Carilion was an easy and quick one. If you’re looking for a clean, safe and spacious place to stay, and a professional manager to work with, this is your sign!!! I will absolutely come back to this property if I’m in Roanoke!Rooms: Clean, no pests, mold, G the housekeeper is amazing.Safety: The area seems very safe! I never had any issuesWalkability: There are several restaurants within walking distance. I was able to go for runs when the weather wasn’t so cold.Food & drinks: The food in the area is wonderful! Downtown Vinton is cute!

American Efficiency Inns is a well-established extended stay "home away from home" establishment. That caters to long-term guests, business travelers, and those looking for temporary apartment like accommodations. (I needed a quiet place to work for 3-4 weeks)Allison the owner and property manager was nothing short of wonderful and helpful from the time I called her until the day I left. Very responsive, caring and professional. (I almost didn't call due to what a few of the reviews said about her and deposit issues) but when I noticed it was only a couple of people I decided to try anyway and I'm glad I did! I had no issues with Allison or with getting my deposit back.I had a wonderful stay she and her staff are amazing and I don't know of any other 'pay weekly' place that includes a cleaning service. I was in heaven. I'd leave for my walk on Tuesday and come back to a spotless apartment.Everything from sheets to towels ot pillows and bed linens are provided. There is also onsite laundry facilities.The rooms at American Efficiency Inns are clean, spacious, and well-maintained. Each room is equipped with essential amenities such as comfortable beds, clean linens, and a table, microwave, stove, chairs, etc. making it ideal for both business and leisure travelers.In short, from check-in to check-out it was an A+ place to stay!

I recently stayed here for about six weeks and highly recommend it! Allison and her staff were so pleasant and helpful, the suite was extremely clean and safe, and it's ideally located for shopping and restaurants in both Vinton and Roanoke. In Vinton, it's an easy walk to many restaurants and shops, as well as the library. I really enjoyed my stay there and was sad to leave!

If you have a$200.00 deposit that you don't need then yes sign up. Because you will not get the ", returnable " $100.00 either. Claims they pay an outside cleaning service for extra cleaning. SMH. I would like to see proof. Cause the $100.00 from the $200.00 total deposit you will not be getting it back for one made-up lie after anotherWe bought a rug for the inside at the door. The manager claimed that they had to get the carpet in the bedroom cleaned. Which is the only room with carpet. BS again if you claimed it then it needed it like all carpeting does over normal use. Unless you are nasty and don't care what you bring in from the outside. I should have billed a plumber invoice for constantly adjusting the toilet flapper so the water wasn't wasted therefore keeping the water bill down. 🤔 I was also picking up other people's cigarette filters on the grounds (mulch, parking lot sidewalk) we smoked in our car. I lived here for a total of 1 year and 6 months and would have loved to stay forever but needed a two bedroom. My space was clean with all the amenities which made it easy because I work a lot. The owner and housekeeper are nice and amazing! It’s very quiet and my neighbors were friendly. If I ever need to only have a 1 bedroom I will definitely go back because out of all the places I’ve lived this was by far the best and will be missed 💜

We lived here for 7 months during the restoration of our house. The owner and staff are very friendly and accommodating. They gave us our choice of the apartment we preferred making sure it was ready on short notice. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable and that we felt at home. They kept everything clean and maintained. If anything needed attention, it was immediately taken care of. They allowed our granddaughter to stay whenever she wanted. We were able to have our pets and always felt safe taking them out in the middle of the night. I would recommend this establishment for either your short or long term needs. She made it easy by taking our monthly rent automatically so that we didn't need to go out of our way or take time to have it processed.

I absolutely enjoyed my stay at American Efficiency Inns. The room was super clean and very comfortable. All my neighbors were so friendly and welcoming. Allison’s customer service was outstanding. I just stayed here for 2 months while transitioning to VA. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. They keep the place clean and safe. The rooms are priced very reasonable and are pretty spacious. As a single female I felt very safe here. I would be happy to stay here again if I ever needed to. I highly recommend it.

I would like to thank you guys for such a great place to stay while me and my husband transitioned here to Roanoke. The rooms here are very nice. They don't smell like someone smoked in the rooms. And was much more than we expected. I love the fact that you actually have an oven to bake as well as a four burner stove, you actually have a bedroom with a tv as well as a tv in the living room area. Bath towels were provided as well as kitchen towels. The area is very quiet and you are within walking distance to downtown Vinton and the library. Your room is cleaned once a week for you and Phoebe is the best. She is very thorough and such a sweetheart. Allison is just as nice, she will make sure that you are happy with your stay as long as you are there. I can't thank you guys enough for a great stay.

I am a registered nurse currently doing travel assignments all over the country. I have stayed in numerous motels/efficiencies over the past two years. American Efficiency Inns surpasses by far all experiences I have had to this point. Excellent staff, courteous, affordable...almost like being home!!! I have already recommended this location to numerous family and friends if they are ever in the Roanoke, Virginia area… Unbeatable!!!

My girlfriend found it online and I called and checked it out and made reservations. Understand this isn't just a little motel these are like small apartments. Pretty-much furnished you might want to bring your own cookware and silverware. But the price is very good. Management provides services you would expect, very efficient. Courtesy with a smile as well.I certainly give American efficacy Inn two thumbs up!!

I stayed here during my time as a travel nurse in the Roanoke area. Allison was so kind and hospitable and the room was so clean and close to a lot of restaurants and stores. It was a great place to stay while I was away from home. I would recommend this place to anyone!

My wife and I made a last minute decision to visit family near Roanoke on the worst possible weekend (Va Tech vs. Notre Dame). Luckily for me there are people in this world like the owner, Allison. She went above and beyond in helping me, first by giving me the information about the area, then by giving me names of surrounding lodging facilities. After all that did not pan out she was able to find a suitable room at her location. I only wish there were more stars available.

Could community action pay my bill to you guys or is this considered a hotel instead of an apartment? I'm a single mom just got out of a abusive horrible relationship, starting fresh and trying to lay low and build my cash bur I have to start somewhere.. And the reviews on this look great just need somewhere kid friendly, cheap and willing to help since ive been homeless and basically hiding from my sons father. I'm a very honest, hard working person i just need help and guidence as i do feel like I'm at my lowest right now.

I’ve been at the American Efficiency Inn’s for almost six months. This is a very nice, private and peaceful place to call home or just stay a while. The rooms offer many amenities, always friendly staff and services, on site laundry, accessible to public transportation and nestled in the heart of downtown Vinton; there isn’t an extended stay or efficiency facility with in a thousand mile radius to match the quality of American Efficiency Inn’s! The owner and property manager takes each tenants safety and satisfaction to the highest level. With a zero tolerance for disruption, violence or disrespect, you can rest assured, you’re peace will be protected by the staff and owners of American Efficiency Inn’s. (Even if it does garner, false and unjust claims to discredit those at American Efficiency Inn’s and American Efficiency Inn’s as a brand name!)So, if your visiting family for the week and rather not stay with the in-laws for Thanksgiving, or looking for somewhere to call home, this is your place. With all utilities, cable and internet provided, it makes branching out or starting over a little more painless.

The lady there was extremely rude and unprofessional. She plain out refused to help me because of the actions of others... I simply asked if she would contact me when she had an available unit because I am homeless due to my abusive ex kicking me out on the street with nothing but the clothes on my back and she straight up refused (with an attitude) she said too many people have requested to be contacted but never answer when she calls. How this is any fault of mine, idk? But to turn away someone in need because you are a miserable person is completely unforgivable. When did customer service become a thing of the past. No one takes pride in their businesses and they definitely don't give a damn about customers. Sad world we live in now. I hope when they need help, they aren't met with the same evil that they themselves give to others.

Horrible place if u stay longer then a week they start off friendly cleaning ur room next thibg no more cleaning bed bugs people doing drugs in the parking lot i old lady passed pit in her car from to many happy pills o an forget about gettong your depoit back an how we moved out they lied ablout me put me in such a panic attack that i thought i was having a geart attack an the abulance had to come i have tons of video an pics to back this up
