Well, Susan is not someone you want to see at Petco Vienna. She clearly demonstrated that customers do not mean anything. Perhaps she should stick to work in the back of the house where she doesn't need to interact with customers. Overall this store is usually good. Today's experience was sadly very poor because of the interaction witnessed from Susan. I feel this review was necessary in hopes that local management may exercise some corrective action to improve the level of service from Susan.

Very rude and mean lady employee , customer service is terrible, they never help , you ask help in fish department no one help you! She is so lazy and rude. Refuses to sell !!! She doesn’t wear name tag! I asked her Name refused to give! I am not sure why she is working there to scare the customers away?Pet I do yourself a favor and hire some customer friendly employee that willing to sell , perhaps she doesn’t know her job description is a sales person !!!!

Your customer checkout young man, Ben, was exceptional in providing me with the telephone number of your store in Vienna. I needed to purchase a large dog bed in beige and the Fairfax store didn't have one but the Vienna store did.Thank you for doing more than checking out my purchases.

I come to this store at least once a week with my puppy and the staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. Some of them remember my puppy's name and offer him a treat when he's with me. They carry a lot of the chew bones, food and treats that we like so it's convenient as well.

After going to private groomers, I thought I would give petco a chance. What a mistake. Grooming is sooo expensive, why? They charge for products and nail cut. On other grooming services when you take your dog for a cut, nail and sanitary areas are all included. I just paid $80 for a bath, sanitary trim and nail cut! Never ever going there again. My Leo now has an uneven hair cut and hair sticking out.

This is the worst pet grooming. My puppy is very depressed because they removed all his hair without getting back to me. I will never deal again with this. They are not honest at all. Worst service

OMG such an Awesome Experience with Jackie who took such Very Good Care of my baby boy Samurai!!! Was Desperate as I needed a Labor Day appointment as our vacation Just started and Samurai was in Dire need for a nail trim which NO One was able to do , not even his vet. He is Very Skittish and untrusting. Well Jackie made him feel SO comfortable and did an Amazing job on his nails AND got us in on Labor Day before we checked into our hotel. She understood my frustration as I didn’t want to take a chance with his long and sharp nails tearing up Marriott’s furniture that I would have to pay for. She is The Absolute Best, So Skilled and In Tune with her Furbaby clients and their parents needs it’s Amazing!!! Want to Thank Her for a Job Well Done and Appreciation for All her help!!! She is a Treasure and I hope Everyone Sees her Worth, Knowledge & Dedication!!! Thanks Again Samurai & Chris Cloud

They are always stocked up with mice, and the staff is kind to me. As a snake owner, we really appreciate that. Not all of our scaly friends can eat frozen thawed, so it makes a huge difference.

Staff completely ignored me, and when I finally got someone’s attention to see one of the animals the associate implied I shouldn’t because they’re going to bite. That’s a failure on the staffs part to be working with animals in a public store and allowing these animals to become too aggressive to purchase. Very sad environment for those animals. Recommend staff works to make the animals in their care social instead of turning off customers from taking them home.

We always get our food from Petco in Vienna. This afternoon we were trying to search a few alternatives because our dog wasn’t liking the food. Colin, the trainer, was passing by and asked us if he could help! Omg, he is super knowledgeable. He asked for a picture of our mixed dog and recommended a brand. We asked a few questions and he answered them all! Never had an experience like this. I even thought about taking my dog to training. Hoping that i am not misspelling his name, Colin was extremely helpful!

I find the store to clean, which considering the number of little pet accidents that must occur there, and can not be an easy feat. The staff genuinely appear to enjoy when people bring their pets into the store. An employee at the checkout line took the time to ask each patron at the register about their pet. That interaction added an excellent personal touch to the shopping experience. The cashiers also seem quite observant about the length of the checkout line. The cashiers do request assistance once it looks like a delay has begun. The staff on the floor have always been knowledgeable and friendly.

Would highly advise not buying any reptiles from here, particularly bearded dragons. They are kept well below the correct temperatures and watched an employee soaking down their enclosure with water, which can cause respiratory issues for the animal. Having an issue with my order, they called the manager and I found that it was the manager who drenched a desert animals enclosure with water, they need significant training on the animals husbandry.

I like this store but they seem to be understaffed quite a bit. There's been multiple times that we were ready to check out but there wasn't anyone at the registers so we had to walk around the store to find an employee. Besides that it always seems clean and relatively well stocked.

If you see this review please do not spend money here if you can avoid it. They do not care about animals plain and simple. I buy all of my supplies online but a shipment of hay for my rabbit was coming late so I had no choice. Their hamsters are kept in inhumane conditions. I watched a full grown Syrian hamster trying to run on a saucer wheel made for a robo hamster a 1/4 of its size in a cage about 2 1/2 times it’s body length. They’re packed into tiny filthy cages with no regard for their comfort or health. Of course this is the same for any big box pet store but this is the worst one I have seen in this area just based on the sheer volume of small animals they keep here as product. They’re all packed in together despite the dangers of keeping territorial creatures in close quarters. They clearly know nothing about how to care for these animals and put little to no effort into researching it.

Susan, Vanessa, and William were extremely knowledgeable and helpful when we were looking to get a fish tank setup. They answered all of our questions and made sure we had everything we needed without making us feel overwhelmed. It was a seamless experience and you can tell they really care about the animals.

We've gotten plenty of supplies from here. The staff are very kind and helpful. One star deducted because all the live animals we've purchased from here have had a much shorter lifespan than comparable animals from... let's just say "a competitor" and leave it at that.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The fish selection is okay. The goldfish and minnows were in sad condition with many dead on the ground or stuck in the filter inlet.
