In 2023, it was nice to treated as a "customer" again, rather than a "consumer." Although I've often dropped in here for small items, this time I made a substantial purchase - a new lawnmower. I'd seen it earlier in the week so phoned and asked it it was still available and if they'd keep it for me as I drove to collect it (which they did, with an old-fashioned "sold" sticker)! It was very pleasant to be made to feel that my custom was valued and appreciated, for a staff member to tell me all about the mower, and to help me load it into my car. Sure, I could have driven to certain big box stores, loaded it into a cart myself, gone through the self-check-out, and then struggled to load it into my car's trunk on my own - but Ace's price was identical to the big box store's price, so I went to Ace and appreciated being a customer again and not an anonymous consumer. It's a nice store, well stocked, and has superb staff who are always helpful - whether you're buying one 15 cent wingnut or a $450 lawnmower!

Don't know what's his issue but store manager needs a reality check. I'm not a fan of liars. If he leaves, apologies or my previous findings are proven incorrect I'll change my review. I'm a big enough man to admit when I'm wrong. Hope he can do the same.

Instantly ordered items we needed . . . arrived right away. At Lowe's, all the "salesperson" had done was to say, well, guess we're out of that. But at the Verona Ace Hardware, James went right into action, finding options and providing the item number and specs to be sure we got what we needed. And we did -- the items were perfect. The icing on the cake? This excellent service did not come at a premium price, since we paid less than Lowe's would have charged.

Ace is a handy place to come, in kind of a desert of stores in Verona. You're always greeted with someone that's willing to help you. I will say that sometimes that is a detriment because I like to just browse and tend to buy more than what I came in there for and I think this somewhat hinders impulse buys.

Always someone right there to help you. They have most of the things you need. Its the only hardware store close to my home and thats a blessing. Prices are more than other places but i save time and gas so that evens out. Great place.

I like this ACE Hardware store. I like the convenience of not having to drive to a Lowes or Home Depot when I need something quick.They are not the cheapest because sometimes you pay more. They have a helpful staff and the store is clean and well organized
