Went to go wash clothes next to the local food lion. Machine in laundry mat would not take money so I go to the food lion next door. Mind you this is the second time this has happened. I go in and it’s Five dollars that’s all I needed in quarters. However this time she told me they don’t give out quarters. Last time she said I can only do a couple of dollars. This is my problem. We put money in you all pockets. We are apart of the community and spend money for groceries in the stores why can’t we get quarters. How else are we suppose to get quarters if the banks are closed? Some gas stations do this also in Verona, VA. Shoot you can go to the store with quarters and ask can I get a bill and they will tell you no (gas stations). I’ve even given coins to the food lion when I needed larger bills but I can’t get five dollars worth of quarters? I went to the Walgreens near by and this Caucasian man and woman was like they lying, they just didn’t want to give it to you. She was telling me her experiences with the same situation, hence the gas station. She gave me the quarters I needed. I feel what they were saying because that is exactly how I felt.

I wish this Food Lion was able to train other Food Lions how to run! Staff was personable, helpful and overall seemed to enjoy there jobs. Store was well stocked and very clean. Even the parking lot was maintained with shopping carts all being hauled inside and a gentleman sweeping up trash.

This is our local Food Lion. We shop here frequently, and love it mainly because of the friendly staff. Everyone that works there is really nice and accommodating! I am disabled and frankly I look forward to going here just to have someone friendly to talk to when I can get out of the house. The prices are nice too most times and that is also an added bonus 😀

I've never been to a grocery store that has such great staff. I dropped my stylus out of my phone yesterday and there was like 5 people helping me look for it. Even the manager was helping and she is wonderful. They called me because Vince found my stylus, he's awesome as well. All of the staff is friendly, helpful and always working. This store is clean and the prices are decent compared to other places. They take care of my husband and I here. We won't go to another grocery store as long as we live here. You guy's are the best!!

People that work there are great! It is a clean facility. The only downside I see is that the plants that are inside do not get watered enough and if they are dying they do not reduce the price on the plants. I am glad to see they are selling local farmers produce.

Very impressed with this Food Lion, very clean, lots of variety. Would like to see more organic options, but I really appreciated the Nature's Promise organic products that are already available. And the prices are unbelievably low! We are from South Florida (moving to PA on this trip, and we're shocked at how low the prices are at the Food Lion's we've stopped at on our trip!This location is very clean, with easy access from interstate, great area, quiet. Employees very professional & friendly.

Today I had to ask four employees where a product might be at. It was a new product that had just came in on the previous night's truck and I didn't know that but after asking the fourth person, they remembered seeing it on one of the pallets in the back. All employees were extremely courteous (as they always are) and were glad to be of service. I made sure to let Mr Cubbage know what had transpired before leaving and he was glad to hear it. This is a very well ran store. I have shopped this location for years and have always had a positive experience.

If you're lucky, you can get the one adult female cashier that can carry on a conversation and is actually quick. I always feel like I'm visiting a high school when I shop there. Good prices, however wait times can still be bothersome. Understand if your short staffed but why not have mandatory hot hours where the the kids don't have to call for back up because they are already up front. Lunchtime and 430-630?? I've never had a problem persay but always have to wait for extra cashier's.Self checkout???

Mediocre. Many products are consistently out of stock each time I stop in. Store is clean and staff is usually friendly. However, sometimes I get a cashier who has the "I don't care and don't want to be here" attitude. I've started going to Fishersville FoodLion for big grocery trips. I stop in here for a thing or two when needed. Overall, typical grocery store.

Just wanted to acknowledge the kindness of the employees here and say how much you are appreciated. I was struggling with my toddler today in the store and the employees were very understanding and nice. I believe the cashiers name is Kurstin , thank you for the sticker.

This store is so clean and beautifully set up. Everything is so neat and organized. When I walk in and see everything just so neat and actually pretty to look at I just felt like I wanted to shop. Who every the manager of that store is, knows how to treat their employees because you can see that the employees care about their store and are probably and hopefully praised for the job they do. You get out of them what you give. Family working together. Good Job. Keep it up

Grocery store that was open on Thanksgiving and had everything I was looking for.Not a huge selection of fruits and veggies, but enough. They had plenty of choices for everything else on my list. And even though the store was rather busy for Thanksgiving, I still got through checkout in less than 5 minutes.Beer and wine are available in store. If you're looking for stronger stuff, there's an ABC next door.Masks recommended but not required. I'd say about 10% of the shoppers were masked and 100% of the employees.

This Food Lion is a regular shopping stop. Good parking, excellent employees, and a well stocked store. Prices are reasonable and quality is very good. Recommend without any hesitation.

Love this Food Lion. Very bright and clean with excellent product selection. I've been shopping at this store my entire life. Took off one star because no baggers and cashier Monika who works in the morning is very unfriendly and makes my checkout process unpleasant. There's a man who works in frozen foods with gray hair who is very friendly and helps me all the time. You need employees like this at your registers also.

I shop here every 3 or 4 weeks for my elderly mother and generally have a good experience. Today, the young woman who checked me out was most unpleasant and literally threw my items in bags, heavy items on top of bread or pies, and then when I rearranged them before loading my cart, gave me a glare. Her sarcastic way of telling me to "have a terrific day" was most unwelcome.Everyone has bad days, so hopefully her friend in the next check out lane was helpful to her since she wanted no time whispering to her as I left.

Check out staff is awesome! Super efficient! Very little wait time. We actually paid for a bag of ice, but forgot to pick it up after checkout. Realized it later and staff was accommodating with assistance to get it again

Very good experience in all except the young lady that bagged when cashier asked her to, obviously wasn't thrilled about it. She wasn't busy to start with. I had my own totes. Insulated bags were for cold food, don't think she knew that. Overall a good trip to Verona Food Lion.

Great Store, prices and cash back deals is my favorite. My receipt said I saved over $523.00 To date. Using their app is easy as pie and they have many coupons that you just click on and are attached to your loyalty card that you access with your phone number. Give it a try, you will save a fortune.

Hate MVP prices needing card to get sale item. Most cashiers will use store card but you need to ask. Better than Martins they won't offer you their discount card to get reduced prices. Sale prices are good, regular prices aren't as good as Walmart.
