We love this park. It's a bit of a drive from our house but well worth it. The place is huge, 100% flat, has plenty to do for the entire family, lots of picnic tables and shelters for events. 5 stars for sure. The one downside is apparently you can't bring dogs. I didn't notice that until this evening.

Beautiful and well maintained. We love it. The grass is so perfect it looks like a picture book. I love the rubber that they put down instead of mulch, it's so clean. I just took my shoes off and enjoyed the grass.

Kids always have a good time here. Especially when they run into their classmates for a fun 1 on 1. Parks and Rec do a fantastic job maintaining the upkeep year round. Not a track, but a paved lane to walk/jog around.Pets aren't allowed

This is the best, old timey playground around. It is the old settings, merry go round and those leg burning metal slides we all remember. You really need to check it out.

We love this park. The play ground has a jungle gym, several swings, adult swings even. Tennis and basketball courts with a paved walking path. Clean restrooms and a covered pavilion.

Thanks so much to the town of Troutville for providing a safe place for my husband and I to camp on our bike ride across America. It has a great small town feeling to it and it was nice to have clean restrooms during our stay. Highly recommend to other bikers or hikers who need a place to sleep for a night.

The best most well cared for and unique all around family park in the valley. The train runs behind the park and its conductors are always sure to blow the horn to let all the kids know it's coming every day.Restrooms: Nice and clean

Our new favorite park. They have everything (the only merry go round left possibly anywhere - which reminded me of my childhood). Very well maintained and clean. Lots of places for the adults to sit and chill. We can’t wait to go back!

Nice open park with unique elements. Traditional playground items could use an update. Park does use rubber mulch if that is a concern for you.

The kids had fun, but the park is very unique. Most of the equipment seems homemade.

From the outside looks like a very nice public park, with a pavilion, jogging trail, play equipment, manicured lawn, clean, really inviting. Long distance hikers and cyclists are welcome to stay and camp, and a small grocery store next door can be a good source of provisions, or perhaps a nice place to get a picnic. Why the low reviews, well pets are not allowed. I'm sure that decision was not taken lightly, and was probably in reaction for irresponsible dog owners. Bummer, but it is Appalachia after all.

I came just to take a picture of the LOVEworks sign but I'd seen the park in pictures so looked around for a minute. Very cute park with unique things for the kids. And adults- swings made from old metal chairs. I love the helicopter & the dinosaur.

It's a very nice place to enjoy the quiet and the walking is great. They keep it clean and you can feel safe here. This is my first time here cause I just moved down here and I was looking for a place to do my walking .and let me tell you if you want a place to walk or bring the kids do it it's great here. I be here everyday in the evening to do my walk and if you need someone to walk with I will walk with you. I'm looking for some girls to hang out with.

I have gone to this park ever since I was a toddler. The memories made there were some of my childhood favorites! However, upon returning recently (after a long time of not going) with my two toddlers, I found the park to be quite unkept, in need of updates and overall not very exciting. My kids (ages 2 and 3) thought it was great but I noticed a lot of rundown stuff and wasn’t ok with them playing on some of it.Some of the wooden structures seem warped, splintery and not sturdy.Overall lacks basic updates and unfortunately I think I will be finding a different park for my kids.

Thank you Lions Club of Troutville for funding and maintaining this excellent playground and park. It was like stepping into my childhood today as we played on playground equipment you rarely see anymore. This park has everything you need! Bathrooms, large open spaces, great equipment, lots of sitting space, a large .25 mile track, a creek, and a caboose to climb on! Wow! We had so much fun today. We will definitely be going back.

My kids love this park! It's eclectic, but so much room for the kids to run and play. A great old school playground. Lots of places for adults to sit and relax while kids play. It also has a walking trail around the park. The bathrooms are maintained and are always stocked with soap and t.p. . It's a family favorite.

This is s great park. It has all the old toys you don't find at parks these days, like a merry-go-round and my son's favorite is a large size helicopter that he can sit on and pretend to fly. We love this park and usually go at least once a week.

Nice park, needs updates but much cleaner than expected. They have rubber mulch which is awesome and huge fields with a cool train to check out. Basketball goals are pretty dated but they work. Everyone around seem very nice and welcoming. If you are nearby and it's pretty outside I would recommend stopping by.

This park is wonderful! Play equipment for younger and older children, wide open space for kids to run, walking path for exercise, picnic shelters for gathering and clean bathrooms. This is an old school playground that is well maintained by the community. Respect. I only wish I learned about it 7 yrs ago so that we could have been visiting all these years.

We used to take the kids here when they were younger. A safe, fenced area with plenty for them to do. Good picnic area to meet friends and have a little gathering. It's not the biggest park but well thought out for kids and their parents.

I recently had my wedding reception here and it was wonderful. It's a great place for kids, renting the pavilions is easy, and the park is beautiful. When I was living right next door, I loved coming here to walk and mingle with the wildlife. I'm definitely biased since I came here so much as a kid, but I really love Troutville park.

Great park if it's not crowded. Has equipment for younger children, as well as older children. Keep them away from the spinning merry go round, though! That thing's been there since I was a kid, and is a hazard! Has a track, as well as tennis courts. AT hikers will camp here, so don't be alarmed if you see them!

They had a variety of equipment to play on, most was homemade. They had some things you don't see very often like a merry-go-'round and seesaws. Very cute and spacious park!
