Great room. Comfortable beds, table and chairs, clean bathroom and floor. Very accommodating. We were hauling a trailer and the clerk gave us a room that we could park our trailer nearby. The best is the ease and convenience of the Cracker Barrel next door. Order online and 10-15 minutes later we had supper. We've stayed at this Inn several times and always had a great experience.Food & drinks: Breakfast was good and once again...the Cracker Barrel.

We needed a dog friendly hotel for 1 night on our way to TN and based on reviews thought this would be a good fit. What we did not know is that they send those with pets to a different building that is dirty, outdated, and smells horribly. It was a mixed odor of cat urine, must, and years of cigarette smoke. The building is also more on the roads so it's much noisier. The beds were comfortable but that's the only positive thing I can say. Don't stay here.

My best friend, her son, and I stayed overnight on January 19th. Despite the delay in check-in due to the weather conditions, the person at the front desk was friendly and accommodating. It was also a plus to have a separate entrance way from the main hotel. The room was bigger than the other 2 queen bed set-ups that we experienced at other hotels. The beds were just right (not too hard, not too soft), and it was one of the few times I was able to get a good proper sleep in the midst of the family emergency I was dealing with. The location is convenient, directly off I-81.Because we had to leave very early the following day, I can't say much about breakfast. They did have more options than some other places. My best friend's son thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast burrito and the waffle. This hotel was a great experience for me. Next time I am traveling to Virginia or even through Virginia to go to another state, I would use this place again.Rooms: The rooms were roomy and nice. The bathroom was very nice. Faucet head of the shower was wonderful.

Pleasantly surprised, when we arrived to find the accessible room, is truly, accessible, it was a flat trip, no step or curb, from the handicap parking space to our accessible room with plenty of room to get around the bed and no ledge shower and raised toilet. Which is unlike other hotels, that have a couple inch curb without a cut out close to the supposedly accessible room.

One of the cleanest motels I visited in my travels. Also, the best hospitality for a quick stop for resting after driving 12 hours. Good location right off I-81I give them a 5 star rating in everything.

Let me start off by saying the front desk staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Super super nice! So it is with a heavy heart that I leave this review. But I woke up with bed bugs bites (6 in a row on my neck, unmistakable) and may have brought them back home to my apartment. Do not stay here! The niceness of the staff isn't worth the nightmare of getting rid of bed bugs that have followed you home. These bugs are very good at hiding in the daytime, and can survive for a year without feeding before they reemerge to torment you.

Pet friendly hotel with reasonable pet fee ($15 total for two 40lb dogs -Nov 2023). Nice free breakfast buffet. Nothing fancy but will get you on the road for free (coffee, tea, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, waffles, fruit, Jimmy Dean sausage sandwiches, etc).Noteworthy details: Pet friendly for small fee

Checkin was quick I love that they allow dogs, now in days most places don’t except dogs. The room itself was clean and spacious. Breakfast is pretty much quick stuff no eggs or anything like that. My only complaint is the beds are not big enough for two people and it’s uncomfortable. Other than that I had a pleasant stay and would most likely stay again if I needed to.

On the positive side, check in was quick and easy, friendly person at the counter and the place is close to the highway. Now the negatives. There is no elevator, you need to take stairs. Rooms are facing highway and with windows being very old you can hear literally every car passing by so bring your ear plugs.I found 2 flies flying around as soon as I entered the room. There is lots of dust on furniture and shower head is dirty, didn’t feel comfortable taking shower. I don’t know how is this 2 star hotel, but it must be a mistake.I paid over $120 per room for 1 night and no I would not recommend it and will not be back again.

I didn't appreciate the housekeeping chatting outside pretty loudly this morning for over 20 minutes. This was before 9am. I finally opened my door and mentioned they were pretty loud but they kept chatting. : / not a good start to a 3 week stay. Also, No smart TV, nor could we use our Roku on their TV. Front desk person said no guests ever had success because of their NetGear wifi and I asked Management for a discount to no avail as they don't care to offer movie/Netflix access only the "cable offered". The owner woman simply stated they aren't required to offer Netflix, but to me it is a standard in 2024, at every other hotel in USA. Very archaic and aged entertainment for a long stay. I'm pretty disappointed. Gotta tough this one out..I'm quite bummed I selected here. At least the Motel 6 had more movie channels.. sad indeed.

I was prepared to give this a slightly higher rating - until I woke up and found a roach. Starting with the good things, the ladies who checked me in and out were nice. The room itself was dingy and definitely needed a new coat of paint. The carpet looked twenty or thirty years old. But the sheets were clean and the sink area and toilet looked fairly clean. The shower definitely was not the best - I'm kind of a germ-a-phobe and I definitely would not have been comfortable taking a shower there; thankfully I just had a one night stay. The shower head was just gross looking (see picture) and the floor of the shower wasn't much better. The bathroom itself looked straight out of the 1970s (at least I think, I personally wasn't alive in the seventies but that's what it reminded me of.) I didn't use the fridge or microwave, but I did look inside - they were mostly clean, though not perfectly. So before I went to sleep I was thinking it was an old and dingy motel, but at least they seemed to clean it OK, I didn't see any bugs. However the next morning, I went in the bathroom and the first thing I saw was a roach. It was dying, on its back with legs still moving, so I figured they had sprayed the room, but still - not what I'm looking for in a hotel. I told the lady at the front desk when I checked out and she said they'd just sprayed and she'd take care of it. I didn't see the breakfast - I'm not a morning person and they stopped serving at 9:30, so I can't really comment on whether it was good. Sound-wise, it was a motel, which I generally don't like staying at. I could hear people outside some, hear talking and car doors shutting. In the morning someone pushed a suitcase or maybe a cleaning cart past and it was crazy loud. All the noise didn't bother me too much, but I live in the NYC area and previously lived in a similar sized city in China, so I'm used to loud noises, traffic sounds, etc. It wasn't super loud, but if you're from an especially quiet place, I can see it being louder than you might want. It is a safe area though, I've got some family in Roanoke and used to live there myself, so I can vouch for the area being in a safe part of town. Honestly, I don't plan on staying here again - the roach kinda sealed the deal on that for me. There's a Holiday Inn Express right across the street that I've stayed at before and that is really nice, but with the price of gas and everything going up I was trying to save some money. I'll just fork out the extra $40 next time.

Not clean and the smell was terrible, like mildew and strong. Nope. The front desk was apologetic at least. There are other inexpensive places that won’t make you sick.

Staff was nice at desk checking in that late, but my room had a bad smell and bedding sheets looked unchanged. I slept in my sleeping bag & used my own pillow. That close to I81 you would think the doors would be a good frame fit -Not- so, you will hear all the outside noise all night long. Staff at the desk in the morning was great too! Really need to get some good cleaning staff > 4 Stars for Staff Only <

I used quality inn as a stop during a very stressful road trip move with 2 pets. We were late because of some hiccups on the road and they checked us inn immediately at 11:00 at night and we had a nice room and everyone was safe and happy for the night. The staff are so kind and professional. They let us check out late too because we were so exhausted and didn’t give us any grief at all. I was so happy with my stay here thank you all so much for being so hospitable. Very happy with my stay at quality inn!! 5 stars!

I’m giving them 5 stars purely for the desk staff. My car broke down I was calling around looking for somewhere to stay with my dog. After several rejections The lady told me it was simply a $15 pet fee and it was worth it. She then gave me a very safe ground floor room right next to office. For a woman traveling alone I appreciated that. She was very helpful and passed my information and worries on to the late night / early morning shift woman who welcomed me to Virginia when I got up for breakfast and didn’t mind I grabbed an extra biscuit for my dog. She asked about my car and we talked about her family that lives near me. She passed my info onto the most recent front desk shift. A very Courteous man who let me check out two hours later because I wasn’t sure if I had to stay again or not, it was raining, and I had nowhere to wait with my dog for the mechanic to tell me how long it would take. Overall, I commend the location for their very professional check in desk staff that made my very unfortunate situation that much less stressful.
