Can’t say enough good things about my experience here. I stopped by during a long solo road trip during the holidays. It was a nightmare of a drive with bad weather and a flat tire. I must have looked like a wreck when I arrived without a reservation. The staff person at the desk was so kind and generous and made me feel good about my stop. I had a nice room near the door which allowed me to take the dog out. It was clean and comfortable. For the price, it can’t be beat. Breakfast in the morning was fine, warm food and coffee in my belly before continuing the long drive. I would absolutely stay again.

We are a military family, and we are moving to NY from WA state, and we ended up in this hotel for a rest stop! Breakfast is amazing and perfect!! potatoes and sausage are so delicious!!! I'm so glad we stopped by here to take a rest stop!..our bathroom had a cute duckie!!! How cute my 2 yr old was so happy and my 7yr old was too! Thank you!

Really enjoyed staying at the Best Western North Roanoke. Nice rooms with all the ammenities. The full breakfast was awesome. It came with the price of the room. If you are ever in the Troutville/Roanoke area and need a place to stay, I recommend this hotel. It had a fitness center, a small pool.Rooms: The rooms were quite accomodating for our general purpose. Had a big t.v. in the room. It was easy getting our belongings in from the car.

The first time we stayed here about 11 days ago, the room we were given had a damp musty smell. I made the management aware of this, and we were given another room. On our way back home, we stayed at this hotel again. Unfortunately, the room we were given this time had the same musty smell to it. Carpets were probably cleaned. However, whoever cleaned them failed to properly dry/vent them. Not helpful!Noteworthy details: I can not recommend this hotel because of the musty smelling rooms which we were assigned on 2 different occasions within a 2 week period of time. Last thing, the ice machine was not turned on when we were packing up to leave. I did find another ice machine on the second floor.

Really helpful and truly friendly staff members make a great impression that is sorely lacking at many hotels! The most comfortable bed we have found in our travels. The room was spotless. Breakfast had a large selection- Eggs, sausage, waffles, apples, bananas, bagels, toast, jams and jellies, muffins, danish, yogurt, juice, cereal, oatmeal, coffee, milk. About anything you could ask for!!! Easy on and off Rt 81 and The Three Little Pigs BBQ restaurant (sit down nice place) is exceptional and less than 2 miles away. Great stop!!!

Good location, clean rooms, staff is friendly and helpful. Decent gym for a Best Western as well. Accept dogs, $25 fee associated with your pet. Laundry services as well, must pay to use.Liked the selection for their complimentary breakfast. Pool needs to be cleaned but when I went want exactly pool season either.Would stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at this Best Western - clean rooms, nice breakfast, and a great location, but by and far the best part was the kind and helpful staff! Our son left his plush dog behind in the room, housekeeping found it and kept it safe for him, and the manager and front desk staff fielded our (many) phone calls and arranged to have the toy shipped to our home address. A thousand thank you's to everyone at the hotel for helping reunite our son with his favorite toy!

I’ll give the pros first: super nice lady that checked us in. First room smelled like pee so she gave us two adjoining rooms to accommodate. They also smelled but not as bad.Cons: smelly rooms, broken pool (kids were really looking forward to swimming), broken doors, broken ice maker, mini frog made loud sounds all night, toilet wouldn’t flush, not enough breakfast and when I asked about it the front desk guy was not Mr Hospitality. He said they can’t make more food.Overall. Not a great experience. It would be one star except for the first front desk person. She was very apologetic for the inconveniences and tried to make our stay better. That’s about where it stops.

Very clean, comfortable room. Loved the pet area. Staff including cleaning gals were very friendly and helpful! Breakfast was ok but eggs were salty and seemed to be reconstituted or something, otherwise hot and lots to choose from. Only real complaint is the noisy ceiling fan which turned on with the bathroom light! Overall great stay and very reasonable price. Very safe area too! Great location and wonderful little restaurant next door, Angeles. Would definitely stay again.

What an awesome quick overnight stop! Clean, fresh, well suited for my large family, and the staff have no hesitation to accommodate us and all our needs. The kids loved breakfast. As a vegan I was a tad bit disappointed I was limited to fruit when they had such a large spread. The rooms were extremely nice like this place was built a couple of months ago. I was totally impressed!

Hotel clerk was very professional and courteous. I did notice the mask mandate was not enforced though. The pet area is actually legitimate with soft grass and some real space to walk and they provide poop bags if you forgot some! The room is small, but clean and tidy. The floors could stand to be more thoroughly cleaned. There was even a rubber ducky on the tub for the baby. The water here is very soft! That shower felt amazing after a long day of traveling. Plenty of outlets for charging all of my devices. Oh and breakfast from 6a-9a! Would definitely stop through here again.

Nasty. Nasty. Nasty. We left at 4:30 in the morning because we couldn't sleep anyway. The room smelled like urine, but after midnight we woke up several time because the AC kept resetting to 70 and it was hot and muggy making the room smell even worse. We ordered food from cracker barrel and planned to eat the left overs the next day but we had ants in the room. Left a message for manager to call and of course they could careless. The carpet was so nasty we kept our shoes on and didn't put my dog down. She stayed in my arms the whole time.

We stayed here for 14 days, while my husband worked in the area. I spent lots of time in the room, while he worked. The room was clean. The staff, from the front desk, kitchen staff and housekeeping, all bent over backwards to make sure that I had everything I needed. They were friendly, kind and helpful. Breakfast was great. Great stay and would stay here again !

Hotel offers private pricing to Expedia and other booking sites, but then refuses to work with the 3rd parties when there is a pricing issue with these third parties. Instead, hotel puts the issue entirely on the customer to resolve, even though customer has no ability to even see the private pricing details….

I made a reservation about one month before my stay, as part of a wedding block. When I went to check in, they did not have my reservation (despite having given me a confirmation number over the phone).The front desk attendent, after sharing this news then just stared at me, until I asked if they had any availability that I could make a new reservation. He said yes, and gave me a room.I then proceeded to that room to find it was already occupied.I returned to the front desk to get a new room, and when he gave me a new room, I realized it was the one my friend had just checked into 30 min prior. So.... Third time was the charm. The man finally gave me a room that was clean and not occupied.Room itself was fine.Continental breakfast was gross. Runny eggs, stale bakery items, bitter instant coffee.Would really only recommend staying here if it's literally your only option.

It was late when I arrived and I was given a room key for a room that belonged to somebody else because when I walked in, the bed was unmade & the towels in the bathroom were all on the floor. I returned to the front desk where I got a new room and when I got to that room it smelled so musty that it was hard for me to sleep. I should have just kept driving to my destination. 😞

My original review of this property was only one star, in part due to the poor customer service we received from the front desk. However, after my concerns and complaints reached the owner of the property, I feel comfortable giving this place five stars. The way the owner took time to reach out and listen to my complaints is a rarity in the industry, and the brand. They made sure that all of my issues were addressed, and that is how managers and owners should treat their guests.As a hospitality professional, I recognize how difficult staffing is post-pandemic, and that finding people that value and enjoy their jobs can be challenging. I will definitely stay at this property again in my travels.

Nice cozy rooms with comfortable beds. Gas truck parking in the back of the hotel which seems like it’s off to the side. Hotel was definitely renovated and you can still smell the new look lol overall, the best priced hotel in the area. Usually the cheapest hotels are cheap for a reason. This hotel room could easily go for the same as the others around it because the rooms are definitely something I would expect out of a holiday inn. I personally would stay again.

Clean, pet friendly hotel. The staff was super friendly and conversational. Our room was quite nice. Very clean. The beds were comfortable; just what we needed after driving all day. 10/10 would rest my head here again.

This hotel was perfect and super comfortable. The dog walking area was a great size and big enough for multiple people to walk their pets. There could've been more parking spots available, but they do have charging station spots available.
