One of the nicest hotels I've stayed in, in a while. I've been traveling back and forth from SC and this hotel was by far the best and I've been staying at Hilton and Hamilton inns. This holiday Inn express was a much better option. The service here was excellent and the breakfast was great. Rooms clean and modern. Definitely recommend staying here!

Okay, I’m going to hype y’all up b/c you guys deserve this review! As an IHG Diamond Elite member, I enjoyed my one night stay and would recommend this hotel for its cleanliness and comfort. Hubby and I arrived at 12:30AM from our long drive headed north. Monica was at the front desk and was very nice and welcoming. We had a TV issue when we got to our room. Monica and the GM appropriately took care of the issue. Our king room was very spacious and had nice beddings. Shower was clean and had good water pressure. I can hear some highway noise from the window, but I had no issue falling asleep. Keurig coffee machine in the room. The breakfast was well stocked even when it was about to close. The breakfast staff was very attentive and it was probably the cleanest breakfast area I’ve seen at a Holiday Inn. Kudos! They even had egg white omelets. Alright, y’all care about our cholesterol level, too. 😆 I added food pics for my fellow foodies out there. Thanks again for the hospitality.

Breakfast was hot, fresh and delicious.I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a relaxing stay. I hope to visit again soon.

So me and my family needed a place to stay unexpectedly the other day and we ended up here. I am so glad we did! This by FAR is the best holiday in iv been to. The manager is absolutely fantastic! And the staff matches. Everyone made us feel welcome, the room was prestine , they even had options for food down at the front desk that saved a trip out. This place is located right off of 95 aswell and has a gas station and a few fast food places within walking distance. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and it was nice that it was all extremely cleaned and checked regularly. Our 7 yr old daughter LOVED the indoor pool a wonderful unexpected bonus! Then at check out Betty was amazing made sure everything was to our liking and made small talk with our daughter . Thank you so much for the kindness and hospitality that we recieved . Will be staying here every time we come to Fredericksburg

Rented 2 rooms during our road trip. Rooms were clean and the entire hotel was recently updated. Every employee I encountered was friendly and courteous. Breakfast was included and had many options. It was also delicious. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash is also in each room and they are full size bottles which is extremely convenient. We had a great experience and would highly recommend.

Nice place, great people, incredibly good breakfast. Seriously, I don't think I've had a hotel "free" breakfast as good as this.Ever.Room was big and wide enough for wheelchair maneuverability. Toilet was easily accessible also. They did not have any roll in showers available the time I was there, so I can't comment on that.Staff is awesome.Location is a little hard to find, but once you get it, you'll find it's pretty convenient to the highway, and to local establishments, and to tourist destinations.

Very nice stay, good room, quiet location, nice staff, good breakfast. Very comfortable. Bottom line, I would stay again if I was in the area. Thank you for the nice, restful evening.Rooms: Comfortable and quiet

This is a hidden gem! We stayed here during the week when traveling to Kings Dominion. The pool was quite large and the temperature was very comfortable. The staff was awesome! Breakfast was included in the stay and the food was fresh, delicious, with lots of yummy options. We got a suite that included two beds and a couch. Me and the kids (9 & 16) had lots of room to spread out.

So I've stayed here in this hotel on numerous (more than 50 times in the last 5 or so years) occasions since I travel up and down Highway 95. The location is very convenient. The staff is generally great, but on occasions, you see a couple with rude and disingenuous attitudes. The rooms are spacious, but the beds are cheap and terrible for the back and neck from my experience. The hotel is newly remodeled, so that does make it a bit more comfortable to be in, but a lot of the tubs have either rust stains, black stains or even mold. Although the hotel is newly remodeled, the shower fixtures have a lot of stains and they look 60 years old, not to mention the door knobs as well. They just make it feel dirty getting in the shower and seeing that. The worst is, the cleaning crew. At first sight, things LOOK clean, but when you're in there a few minutes and your eyes adjust, you notice all the dust on the fixtures, kuerig, the toilet lid and the ac/heat. On a few occasions, I've got in the beds and they have been stained here or there and the shower curtain ALWAYS has mold on it. Towels are often a dinghie the beds look as though no one slept in it, it hasn't been changed. Once was an oversight, twice was neglected, and the third time was just plain lazy and nasty.NOT having your cleaning staff do their jobs correctly is the worst possible outcome for the guest and the hotel. Cleaning and disinfectant should be used at all time, regardless of someone used it or even if it's white and you think it looks good. If you can see the dirt and dust, then there are 100 million more bacteria and germs that you can't see. They allow pets, which is fine. I like seeing the dogs when I'm there on most stays since I don't have to enjoy myself. They say they keep all the pet stays on the first floor, but I can smell them often on the 3rd floor rooms where I like to stay. I'm allergic to both cats and dogs, so I try to stay away from most animals even if they are adorable.I don't like to complain and I've taken my concerns to the front desk on several occasions but it seems to not ever be relayed or the cleaning crew cares nothing for the guests nor do they care if their superiors mentioned it.I've gone almost 6 years on and off and keeping my frustration to myself, but enough is enough. If leaving a complaint at the front doesn't change anything, hopefully, this review will.I continue coming to the establishment because it is the halfway point for my route, and the company I work for like to book the holiday holiday Inn and another hotel that is only on the west coast. Their reviews are better than other holiday inn's in the area, but mostly because I sanitize and reclean everything before I'm able to rest.Just as reviews have deterred me from other locations, it's naive to think these types of reviews won't or can't happen to them and deter others. Please do better.Food & drinks: Not much to choose from but there are a few places to eat.Noteworthy details: Cleaning not up to par

This was right off the highway and perfect for us to get some sleep and head out on our way. But the reason I wanted to write this review was to highlight the kindness of the hardworking housekeeping and front desk gentleman Richard. My daughter left her very loved teddy bear behind, and the housekeeper turned it in and Richard at the front desk called us and is mailing it back to our home. Gestures like this are really what stick with you when choosing a place to stay, and this stop will be one I recommend and use again in our travels. Kindness matters and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for yours!

Update: the hotel did reach out to me, and ensured me that the issues I encountered were not a regular thing, and explained how it could’ve happened. I appreciate the prompt correction and apology, based off a great conversation with the manager I would be willing to give them another try and stay here again.I have stayed at IHG hotels for years, this by far was the worst one, the hotel is dirty, towels are dingy not white at all look like they are dirty, hair in shower when arriving, and they have cockroaches. Unfortunately, there was no other hotel options available or my family would have left; worst stay I have ever had at an IHG hotel.

Good:The service was great, staff were friendly, and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was included and there were so many options to choose from. Betty was the staff member who checked me in and she was so helpful.Bad:The location of the hotel is TERRIBLE. It was extremely hard to fall asleep because the hotel sits directly next to the interstate and it is LOUD. The hotel is older, so the insulation from the hall into the room wasn’t great. Every time someone opened a door or got off the elevator you can hear it almost like you left your door open. Bathtub was kinda small compared to other places I’ve stayed.Overall, not a bad experience. I wouldn’t stay here again though strictly based off of the noise.

Rooms were nice, location was right off the freeway. Great place to stop. The best part was the staff here. Debra was one of the nicest people you could ever meet. She was super accommodating and a very fun and happy person. She went way above and beyond. If you want a great place to stay, stop here. Reasonably priced and awesome people!

I had the opportunity to stay there for a month, while my home was being worked on. All the accommodations were very nice. The room was clean and quiet. Each day Donna and Brian always checked to make sure my room was the way I needed, to make my long stay feel almost like home. I especially loved morning breakfast conversations with Betty Lou, who made sure that there was Oatmeal available for me each day. I am thankful for Richard for all his help, and all the front desk crew loaded with friendly smiles and awesome conversations. I highly recommend this location.

As I lay in my bed here at the Holiday Inn, I feel compelled to write this review; a first for me as I never rate hotels. This holiday inn has gone above and beyond so I feel it warrants a stellar review. It’s highly affordable with friendly and accommodating staff. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The pool is clean, a decent size, and heated. All of this is well and good but the real show stoppers are how lusciously comfortable the beds are and how delicious the breakfast spread is! I could happily live and die in this bed it’s so plush with lightly weighted down throws; a bed you snuggle deep into and sleep all night in. Then to wake up to a well prepared, hot breakfast which had biscuits and gravy worthy of a diner, hot, gooey cinnamon rolls, and sausage/egg/cheese croissants that I’d expect from a cafe; it was delightful. I know without a doubt we’ll be back as this is one of the best hotels we’ve stayed in during our adventures.

Great for traveling families! It sells out - so book before you plan to stop. It's a standard hotel but it's full of nice touches. Pet friendly! Super friendly front desk to welcome you. Spacious rooms. Nice soaps & shampoos. The breakfast is great! The selection is standard but friendly staff, very well stocked, nice brands of things, excellent bacon & good coffee! Well done!!!

clean, bright, conveniently off I-95. Large room and very comfortable bed. Richard at the front desk was friendly, helpful and informative. Jordan the breakfast preparer had a great personality and made one hell of a breakfast. Never had such a good breakfast buffet anywhere. Don't pass on the cinnamon rolls. This is one jewel of a hotel.

I've stayed at tons of hotels, including a lot of Holiday Inns. This location by far had the best breakfast I've ever had. Restaurant quality. All fresh and so many choices I left good stuff behind. This will be my go to spot forever when passing through. Room clean. 5 star experience

This is a real hotel with a real breakfast and real rooms that are clean and don't have peeling paint and disgusting showers. These real rooms are also spacious and comfortable. These real rooms have real doors that close behind you so your door isn't ajar after you leave. These real doors lead to a real hallway and not a parking lot where real weird things may or may not happen. There are real mini Keurigs in the real rooms. This is very unlike the hotel next to it. You should stay here and not there. You've been warned.

In a pinch this is good but if I had other choices, I'd skip it. The room was clean but the hotel is smack next to the Quality Inn. You either get a view of the side of that or a view of trees in the back parking lot. Speaking of parking lots, it is very small, and I parked a ways from the front door. The breakfast was good, of course, and the staff appropriate to the location. It is right off 95, and I could her the traffic in my room. The bed was super sunk, soft, and I like soft, but a tad firm, too. Overall, it was good for what it is, but it was no cheaper than much nicer ones I stayed at.

Hotel front desk was very nice and helpful.Room was clean. Bed was so soft to snuggle up in and it was clean. Nice desk if you do any work. Bathroom was also clean and had hot water. They have shampoo, conditioner, body wash , lotion and a couple more as complementary toiletries. AC/Heat worked in the room.Breakfast was pretty good and had a nice selection with both hot and cold options.Down side-They no longer have the hot tub as seen in pictures but the indoor pool was heated. Last two hours we were able to swim by ourselves but they ran out of towels in the towel cubby. Hotel is dog friendly (which I don’t mind) but I did have to take allergy medicine in the morning.

A lot of crooked practices and corruption here. This location is about to get audited thanks to their rude and incompetent employee Monica Wood. Do not recommend staying here.
