Relaxing and enjoyable, Front Porch Market and Grill pleased on the back porch too. We had a sunny Saturday afternoon lunch that included the prime rib sandwich and grilled salad. The sandwich simply melted in my mouth - it was worth every bite. The service was very friendly, quick and inviting. We were encouraged to look around and see the dining area upstairs. I'd definitely recommend any place in the restaurant. We'll certainly be back again. It's also nice to the the American flag flying properly in the front.

My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful meal here. The service was warm, attentive, and like being in an Irish pub with just the right amount of family feel. The food was outstanding! We are picky and really appreciate quality - this place delivered! We had scallops, a burger, a salad, and chicken - plus delish dessert and drinks! We were really treating ourselves and EVERYTHING was excellent. We so appreciate the quality - local/seasonal makes a real difference. We can’t wait to come back!

Our server, Marty (originally from Belfast, Ireland), was an exceptional blend of efficiency, quality and personality. The food was good. The Ribeye Steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly as was the asparagus. The mashed potatoes were good but rather simple and plain compared to the flavorful steak and asparagus. $38 for these three items is an average price for the area.

A great find! My husband and I finished up some antique shopping and popped over for a bite to eat. Even though we came in 15 min before closing, they seated us and gave us incredible service. Never felt like a burden and didn't feel rushed.I grabbed the Turkey Apple Brie Burger and my husband grabbed the Reuben Sandwich - both were absolutely delicious! I highly recommend!

Quaint and interesting location. Staff were excellent and gave us a seat inside for our overheated doggo. Drinks were on point: I had the Dreamin on the Porch). I LOVED my sesame-crusted ahi tuna! I could eat that every day ❤️ So fresh and had the perfect consistency. Kids enjoyed their udon noodle bowls (they're both ramen addicts). Husband had the Frenched bone-in pork chop topped with the Meyer lemon chutney and served with roasted carrots and potatoes. He was impressed by the perfect level of sear on the meat. The price point is a bit on the higher side, but the food is worth it. Besides, this is located in The Plains 😂 I wouldn't expect any less. Hoping to come visit again sans dog and kids 😉😂

Vegans/vegetarians: limited menu options. Vegan entree is a $29 bowl of 'vermicelli' noodles with veggies but no protein (there are other menu options with meat at a lower price). Noodles themselves were precut, so they were difficult to fish out the bowl. Dish was also very salty and two people in our party stopped about halfway. Staff was friendlyVegetarian options: Limited

We had an amazing dinner at front porch. My wife had scallops and I had beef tips along with a nice bottle of pinot noir.Update: This time wasn't quite as good. The server was attentive and friendly. However, my entree was just so so. The white rice was unseasoned mush and the salmon was slightly overcooked. This would have been much better with a basmati or jasmine rice, or even a long-grained Mexican arroz or even a nutty Peruvian rice given the tostado theme. With that said, the scallop wrapped with prosciutto appetizer was very good.

I originally went here because they were showing the pride flag. What I got food wise for a bar and grill was outstanding!!!! The gouda mac and cheese with pork belly is not to be missed! This was a suggestion of my wait person, Aileen, who was the most kind, patient, and attentive without being smothering. They were out of scallops. I've heard these are amazing... so I'm going back soon in hopes I get to try those! Prices were a touch high... but I think well worth a special night out!

We arrived late Sunday afernoon but the staff still seated. The staff was very good and a pleasure to talk to. The food was AWESOME!!! You can really taste the fresh produce and meat in their menu. We can't wait until the Fall & Winter menu comes out.Oh and the dessert were good. The chocolate cake was great and they gave me their multi-berry dessert was soooo good!!!Thank you for a great experience!!!UpdateWe back last weekend, they were able to accommodate our 23 guest party. The food and service was great. The waiter was professional and cheerful, even though one of are party members took the the wrong order. He remained calm.I just had lunch there today. The surf & turf tacos were great. The baby kale salad will shrimp & salmon was the best DAMN salad I have ever tasted.Check them out!!!

I absolutely loved this place and I travel a lot, one of my favorite restaurants I’ve been too recently! I was apart of a party of 6 and unfortunately didn’t get a picture of everybody meals. The service was spot on jacoby was excellent, I can’t praise him enough. First of all I had the burger as a recommendation from jacoby and it was delicious the lettuce was so fresh the condiments (pimento cheese and apple chutney type spread) were both exquisite and the sweet potato salad was also really good. 2 of my fellow party members had pizza and bbq sliders both were very good as well. If you ever find yourself out near the plains, VA I would definitely suggest stoping in to try front porch market and grill.

I’m from NYC…very picky when it comes to food!We visited Front Porch on Thursday around 6pm and they have some customers, but the place wasn’t packed. I really loved my tomato soup. Sesame Crusted Seared Ahi Tuna literally melts in your mouth! Blackened Grilled Salmon Tostada was tasty, but I was already full. Front porch cocktail is now my favorite! It’s a perfect combination of blueberries and lemon!Service was amazing! We will definitely come back with our friends!

I've been a fan of the front porch for a couple years now, brunch, lunch or dinner. I had the front porch rocker cocktail and Mahi tacos. The service is always great, has to be the best restaurant in The Plains. Plus outdoor, pet friendly seating!

I genuinely wanted to commend this restaurant and recognize the hard work they invest. I truly value what they stand for. However, my recent visit left me somewhat disappointed. While we received a warm welcome upon arrival, we struggled to find the party we were supposed to meet. Amidst this confusion, one staff member was rather rude, although I understand they were quite busy. Once seated, we experienced a considerable wait for our service. The menu would greatly benefit from an expanded vegetarian range. We chose two bowls of tomato soup, a house salad, and half an order of vegetarian nachos. To our surprise, we incurred an additional charge for guacamole without any prior notice. It seemed reasonable to perceive it as a substitution for meat on the nachos. We waited a while for the food and the waiter only came by once. Including the tip, the total of $70 for our meal, which included two soups, a house salad, half a portion of nachos, and two coffees, seemed quite high. I'm willing to pay for a premium experience, but I would expect both the service and food to match that standard.

Found this place after looking for a place to eat after visiting Sky Meadows. Very good food. They have indoor and outdoor seating, but they were full outdoors, so we got a table indoors. We didn't have to wait very long for our food, and the ladies running the place were very nice. Bathrooms also nice and clean. I got the lamb burger with a side of pasta and it was very delicious.

Honestly I do not understand the high reviews for this place. Service was a mix of friendly and downright rude/surly at times. Our lunch took over 45 minutes to come out, without a word to us about the delay. When I asked whether the food was coming out soon (after 35 minutes) I was ignored and scoffed at. After the food finally started to come out, it came in pieces, with several of our group left without food for a few minutes still. The food itself was mediocre at best. The nachos were a huge pile of chips with toppings just on the top middle of the pile. The fish tacos were alright but one of three had a bad piece of fish that you couldn't bite through. The sandwiches were basic and nothing at all special for $17 with chips and dry coleslaw. I guess this place gets by on the fact that there are almost no other options in town but they really need to step up their service and food in my opinion. I wouldn't recommend this place or ever go back.

Came here at 3:20PM on a Sunday after driving out of our way from Arlington specifically to try this place. Checked and made sure they would be open.Upon arrival, the doors were locked, no sign except the hours that clearly stated they are open until 4pm. Workers saw us trying to enter and just stared and ignored us.Tried to call and the phone just rings until it automatically hangs up.Maybe follow your own posted hours? Really bad look.

We absolutely loved this place which totally blew away our expectations. We had the Smoked Gouda Mac and Cheese appetizer which was rich, creamy, and smokey. I could have licked the bowl. Then I had the Front Porch club, on a toasted Ciabatta which had roast chicken breast and a delicious blend of flavors. The wife had a Vege wrap that was big and delicious. Both came with perfectly made homemade Cole slaw. Then desert, Oh desert, save room!We had Chocolate gelato bomb and lemon sorbet. The gelato bomb had Chocolate and another flavor ice cream (we are still debating, it disappeared so fast) separated by slivered almonds and covered in a thick layer of rich delicious frozen dark chocolate. The lemon sorbet is served frozen inside a large frozen lemon. The lemon is hollowed out and replaced with the fabulous naturally flavored sorbet. Both are garnished with a variety of delicious fresh berries. BRAVO!The waitress was very nice and attentive. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner who was a delight. We will be back. I would give this place 10 stars if I could, it was that good.Note. This is an honest review. We have no association with the restaurant or anyone that works there.
