Very clean and friendly staff. Gave it a truly southern feel. Our waitress Taylor was very attentive and got our food out quickly. Even the customers were very friendly and wished us a blessed day. Will definitely be back here! Food was like my grandma cooked it, delicious and seasoned with love. They got us in quick (no wait) on a Saturday and the staff was so sweet and friendly. Definitely gives family friendly vibes and has that local atmosphere which makes it feel so special.

Great specials at this casual diner. I had grilled shrimp and a baked potato with a bowl of crab bisque. Grilled perfectly, and a fluffy baked potato. Their cocktail sauce has a nice little zip. The bisque was okay. They have a huge selection of desserts. Only one server busting her butt serving everyone in the dining room and the patio area. Parking is available around the building.

Always a good time when I come to this restaurant! The wait staff was awesome! Dorothy was awesome as well. She made sure my order was correct and that I had all of the condiments I asked for. The food is absolutely delicious. The crab cakes are everything! If you haven't had the crab soup it's a must have! Next time I'm in the area I'm definitely stopping by to get some more delicious food with a smile.

On a recent trip to Virginia for the BMW Motorcycle Owners Association 50th Anniversary Rally and to visit relatives on the Northern Neck, I planned my trip to specifically visit the To-Do for lunch. I ordered a plate of grilled oysters, grilled flounder, crab cakes and butter beans—all delicious. If you love seafood and homemade cooking, the To-Do Cafe near the Rappahannock River is the place to go. Comfortable atmosphere and lovely staff. Just wish I didn't live three thousand miles away.

It was my first time eating at this restaurant. I was a little skeptical on entry. The inside could use a sprucing upIt was, however, charming. The wait staff was a couple of young adults who were well very friendly and courteous. I took a gamble and ordered the catfish basket . I am very picky about my fish. It was delicious! It was seasoned and battered to perfection. The hush puppies were tasty but a little dry and on the smaller side. I was pleasantly surprised and delighted. I will definitely be going back. If you are in the Northern Neck, you need to stop by. I forgot to mention that the owner was sweet enough to come to our table and check on us.

Well the phone rang and it was Bad Dog, he grunted What ya doing, and I said nothing and he said Saddle up we are going to the To Do Cafe in Tappahanock and eat some oysters, so I kicked up the kick down stand and hit the start button and away we went.It was a nice ride over there and we pulled up and stretched a bit before we went inside. We were promptly seated and menus were brought to the table along with a cold glass of water and a friendly smile from our server.I ordered a cup of Crab bisque and a side of oysters 😋, the bisque was just the right temp and the oysters were crisp and hot, just the way I like them .I got to say this was a really good idea and I plan to go back again and try that Catfish dinner that was on the menu.

Stopped here on the way from Virginia Beach back to Maryland. Google maps took us off of 95 to 17 to avoid an accident and although I got a ticket by one of the many speed trap cops on 17 my mood was instantly uplifted after walking in. It felt more like I was going to a friend's house than a restaurant. From the screen door to the super friendly staff. We kept it simple with burgers but they were by far the best burgers we've had in a long long time outside of home. If you happen in 17 DEFINITELY stop in and grab a bite and you'll be glad to you did!

Had a wonderful and very filling seafood dinner. Fried oysters, soft shell crab, asparagus and a chopped salad. The hubby had fried shrimp, oysters, crab cake, butter beans and a salad. The service was excellent and no masks!! So happy to see smiling faces again. 😀

What a great small town cafe! Variety of lunch & dinner menu items, including a child's menu. Prices are reasonable and very clean cafe is farmhouse themed. Energetic staff was very friendly and service was good. The fried oysters and the smokehouse burger we ordered were served within 10 minutes and quite good.

The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside but is packed with great food and service inside. We will be back!The catfish was cooked to perfection. A small menu that included your normal diner items with the inclusion of some seafood selections.Parking: Parking is limited, very busy place.

28 May 2022 update: what a great place to eat! First time here in two years, and still as good as it was in my first visit. Everything, and I mean everything, was awesome! Whitney is a Gem, and one of the kindest and genuinely people I’ve ever had the pleasure to speak with!My wife and I had lunch here today… It was fantastic! My wife had a crabcake and I had a deluxe crabcake meal with shrimp and crab bisque smothered all over it… Really good! Our server was prompt, funny, and helped to ensure that we had a really good time when we were there. We are definitely returning!

Crab dip app was shockingly small portioned. For the price, I was expecting at least four times as much. Very tasty, high quality. Main entree was much better proportioned, and again, great flavor and quality. Would definitely return. Busy when our party of four arrived, but thinned out by the time our food was up. Service was a little slow,even after it cleared out, but I believe that was due to understaffing, and training someone new.

I thought the shrimp po' boy and onion rings were pretty tasty. It would have been great with one more shrimp for each half of the sandwich. We sat outside and it was enjoyable. The entrance was a little confusing. Use the one through the outdoor seating. The other side is bar seating. I later realized it was pretty full inside. We thought we were the only ones there for a while.😄 Great antique shops in town. I will take a drive to eat here and shop again.

Delicious lunch here on a Friday afternoon. Service was excellent as they started to get busy around noon. Loved the menu choices and daily specials. Nice selection on side choices and vegetables. I had fried shrimp and hushpuppies. Boyfriend tried the crabcake sandwich. Both very good. Parking was fine for a small place...also nice outdoor seating and inside was bigger than expected. They seemed to keep it flowing well. Will definitely return!

This was the perfect road stop fine. The restaurant has many delicious seafood and non seafood options. I ordered a shrimp po boy sandwich. I had the option to order it grilled or fried. I chose grilled and love it. The crab soup was fresh and tasty. Nice staff and good service.
