We had an amazing time visiting this farm, seeing the animals and the sustainable farming practices. The farm store was well stocked and had reasonable prices. We highly recommend a visit.

This was all we hoped for and more. We stayed at The Cottage on site, and had the run of the place. We even got to meet Joel Salatin and give him a painted rock. 🙏🏼❤️

We have been so inspired by Joel for almost a year now and our dream is to have a homestead of our own. We drove out here to check out the farm and had no expectations of actually being able to listen to him speak. The ladies in the shop were so very sweet and welcoming and after hearing our story and how much Joel has influenced us informed us that he was speaking right outside and that we were welcome to listen in. We loved the whole experience and even got to speak with Joel for a little. Our kids absolutely loved it!!

Just did a quick tour here once, but it has a magical little feel if you've ever done any farming and gardening. Looking at the way things are set up around here are very inspiring and unique. If I ever get a farm before the world ends it would definitely have some similarities to this farm. Would maybe even come intern in a perfect world if I was able to! Super cool place if you like permaculture systems and eco friendly farming, definitely come take a look around if you're in the area!

I drove five hours to visit Polyface farms in Swoope. The last few miles I weren't sure the GPS was correct because they are so remote, but I breathed a sigh of relief when I finally saw the sign. Was the only visitor on a weekday which I was told was odd -- not unusual for a busload of people to show up. I had unfettered access to anywhere on the farm, minus the residences. I stepped into the pig area, visited the pastured cows, turkeys, chickens, ducks and goats. The farm is simple and proves the management-intensive/infrastructure-minimal philosophy that Joel Salatin espouses in his books. I enjoyed seeing the sawmill I've seen on his YouTube videos. I chatted with a couple of the workers who were very friendly and helpful. Also purchased about $65 worth of chicken, beef and eggs from the store. $65 didn't go very far, but I enjoyed the food very much and ended up sharing it with some friends in the area at whose home I was a guest. Everyone agreed that it reflected superior quality. Great visit. I'd love to return and be part of the Lunatic Tour.

My father and I had an amazing time of learning and fellowship with Joel. He was a perfect host. One of the few people that 100% live up to their reputation after meeting them in person. Polyface Farm is genuine and transparent.

Truly a unique place with a message of living with nature, the animals and the land. Regenerative farming concepts that have turned this once dead farm into a thriving animal farm. Joel and his family practice what they preach. Everyone who wants to get closer to their food sources should take a tour. Enlightening and intriguing. Even the kids will enjoy it.

Absolutely sensational!! Since we moved to the area, we have been shopping there for all our meets. We had our first ever duck eggs from there. The lady in the shop is super friendly, we got to meet Theresa Salatin there and talked to her for minute. We also took the Lunatic tour hosted by the local celebrity one and only Joel Salatin, we got the chance to talk to him as well, his is very people oriented and great guy.Polyface meats and eggs are amazing, they also carry some products from local producers and artisans. Also in shop they have all the Joel Salatin books and videos along with Polyface swag. Polyface farm is a great source for the best meat and eggs you can buy, or just to stop by, look around and get some fresh air.

Had a great visit today! I’ve been wanting to visit for the last year but stopped by while I was in the area for a wedding. The people I met were so nice and welcoming. I’m looking forward to trying the beef, sausage, and eggs we purchased.

Great place to learn about all natural production farming that is scalable. Interesting tour guide, healthy animals and family life. Ask questions and get honest answers. Indulge in the small hotdogs lunch afterwards, your won't be sorry. Get up close and pet the pigs and chickens.

Changed our lives! Now we raise 460-ish Cornish in Polyface-style pens a year and have the healthiest nutrition-full chicken we can get. :)

Absolutely the best time for the family I have experienced in sometime. Even though it rained all three of my kids loved the farm tour here. This is a legit farm tour and you need to come prepared for all weather and conditions. The knowledge shown about sustainable farming was top notch. I can not stress what an awesome time the whole family had.

Polyface Farms is an incredible experience for the farmers at heart. Joel Salatin has written books on books expressing his heart behind his farming and it's amazing to see it up close. As (hopeful) future farmers, and as human beings who eat food, we were so thrilled with their open door policy. We were shown a map and told we were able to walk all over. We were able to see into the chickens, pigs, and cows' daily lives. It was clean, though still a very functioning, efficient farm. Though the family has gained notoriety in the country and the world, the farm maintains its local feel. It's not showy, it's down to earth - it's real.We loved visiting here and look forward to making our way back. Thank you for being a farm with integrity and standards. And thanks for having us!Also, please don't believe a bit of what Collin D. has to say, that's just nonsense trolling. I was there yesterday and there wasn't one sheep that I could see, as is featured in his photo, and there wasn't one red-brick wall anywhere within any kind of access to the cows, as in his photo. Nonsense.Just go enjoy the farm!

Amazing!!! This event was organized by Tai Lopez & John Salatin. Mr. Salatin showed how safe, healthy free range chickens and grass fed cows are managed efficiently. In addition several successful entrepreneurs also presented how they scaled their businesses. The whole event was educational, inspiring, impressive and informative plus several more amazing adjectives! All of it took place on a beautiful real farm in picturesque VA. Wow! I had an extraordinary and memorable time.

After seeing Polyface many different ways/times on the internet it was wonderful to see it in person, like a pilgrimage to a sacred place of sustainability. We took a self guided tour of the property and learned so much: the watering systems, the sylvo pastures, the animal rotations, the chicken butchering system, and the chicken tractors. The air was so clean and clear, we couldn't believe it. We visited the store and bought goodies, honey, and a frozen broiler that I can't wait to cook up. The 100% grass-fed A2 milk from a local farm is fantastic; if this is what milk is supposed to taste like, I am no longer on the fence about getting a milk cow! Thank you so much to the Salatin family for providing education and healthy food, and allowing visitors to your farm; you are an inspiration and a blessing to many. May you have many more years, and decades, of success; lets change the food structure one farm, one family, one meal at a time.

An excellent farm to get your brainstorm marbles a- going! You'll see - roots & holistic management in this farm. If you pay a decent little penny they'll learn you ALL- the- way- through (mostly) because believe me, unless you have and agricultural degree, most just skim there top of what's REALLY going on in domestic food & fiber! Btw, like Joel says, ask the locals in the valley about him and they'll refer to him as the 'crazy fellow'! Ha! Blew my mind!
