Just had my first appointment here and the vet was outstanding! When I first walked in I didn't get any bad feelings or vibes from the establishment. Everyone was kind and welcoming. If you're considering bringing your four legged family member here I would encourage you to do so.

My dog just had dental surgery which cost over $1000. As a courtesy, they offered to clean her ears, which they did not. When I contacted them to rectify the problem they wanted to charge me upwards of $100 to clean her ears. I am dissatisfied at the fact that they lied about the ear cleaning service regardless if it was complementary or not.The nurse that spoke to us today regarding the situation with flagrantly nasty and insulting coupled with incompetency, lack of integrity and lack of empathy for the animals in her care. Such a disappointment, especially in today’s economy. I expect the services that I paid for to be performed or any other service that was offered to be performed as promised.

I recommend them WITH CAUTION. I adopted a dog (Moose)from Suffolk Animal Care who paid for the neutering. I thought. Apparently you still have to pay $40 for a cone they said he had to have. Well, isn't that part of the surgery? I called back to get a refund on the cone and was told no in so many words. It's really not fair and I called back to Suff Anm Care and they were less than helpful. Told me to call Monday and the person I had to talk to wasn't going to be in until the following Monday. I also paid for a heartworm test because the shelter hadn't done so in 4 months. And the dog had an ear infection. I didn't mind paying all that except the cone. I really feel slighted and that's really unfortunate. They just can't find it in themselves to refund me part of a surgery paid for by Suff Animal Care, a necessary cone I even said I didn't want if he didn't need it. It's never good feeling like I was taken advantage of. Not like that money won't go to the dog. Everyone was so friendly too, I'm very surprised at this.

Love this animal hospital! Setting up an appointment was easy, the staff is always very welcoming, take their time with my pet, and prices were very reasonable! I appreciate the open house event discounts as well as making it fun for the pets -- my dog received pet treats and a new stuffed toy! This facility is like a family, and the staff is amazing! I drive over from the other side of town just because they truly care about my pet just as much as I do! Thank you Suffolk Animal Hospital.

Sprocket loves them and so do I! They are helpful with questions, even though I can be an annoying pet parent. He loves coming to visit, well except for the bird in the lobby..lol

I’m super happy with the care my puppies have received. They have been amazing. Dr miller also did surgery on my teacup chihuahua and spayed her and fixed hernia at the same time. A great experience forUs and our animals

Amazing!!! Staff is super friendly and caring. Very knowledgeable and attentive to our fur baby needs, and very thorough with with testing and explaining results and they take the time with you and your fur baby and not just rush you in and out. Thank Dr. Marr and staff!

The front desk staff at Suffolk animal hospital is super polite and very friendly. I also found my veterinarian to be very informative and helpful. However, the vet tech was horrible. Teresha is her name. I have had more than one uncomfortable experience with her. She is very passive, aggressive and disrespectful. At one point during my visit, I was given an itemized bill. As I was discussing the bill with my husband over the phone, she actually had the audacity to sit there and listen to my conversation. I had to put my husband on hold and politely ask her to step out of the room. Teresha is not shy to overstep her boundaries, and she will definitely make it known how she feels with her unprofessional mannerisms.

I had a good feeling even after the first phone call to schedule our first appointment, and feel even better after visiting with our Buster! Everyone was super friendly and welcoming, and you can tell the staff truly love animals and are there for the right reasons! My husband and I felt very comfortable and supported as we begin this journey with our recently rescued...and very highly energetic...puppy! I have had experiences in the past with other vets that were not so positive, which is why we were searching for a new puppy doctor, and I am thankful we found you guys!

Had check ups on two of my dogs done and vaccination updates. Got their wellness plan which seems a bit high to me but reasonable for two dogs. Currently helping me through the process of curing heartworm for one of my babies. Glad we caught it early.

Dr. Miller was very kind and informative regarding our dog Kirk. She followed up as promised and had a plan to help us get through his illness. We trust her judgement and the treatment options she offered. I will ask for her for future visits!

They seem to really care about the animals. 4 stars because they were afraid of my dog and didn't let us in the building. Although he was muzzled. Instead we did the appointment outside in the back yard.

My fur baby and I had our first visit with this vet office this week. Even with all the precautions they have to take because of the virus it really was a great visit. The lady that came out to the car to get my dog for her appointment was very nice and my dog took to her immediately. The visit was fast and efficient. Absolutely no wait time. Poor lady even got wet as it was raining and she still had a smile on her face and kind words for me and my dog. They made a great and lasting impression on me and my baby. We will definitely be continuing to use them as our vet. The appointment was super easy to make as well with kind and knowledgeable staff. It was a complete 180 from my last few vet experiences. I highly recommend this office to anyone looking for a better experience.

Very caring staff from the front desk to the visit with the vet. It’s very obvious they love animals there as each and every one that stops by gets a special greeting and some love and affection.I know from experience that they will do everything possible to save your furbaby in case of a tragic accident. They will give you the advice of what’s best for your pet when it comes time to make the hard decisions we all dread.They understand how much your pets mean to you and treat them as if they were their own. They love and care about your pets. They have the expertise to treat any injury or illness I’ve ever encountered in the many years I’ve been taking my dogs there.I love the staff at SAH and thank them for all they have done for me and my dogs throughout the years.

Everyone at the Suffolk Animal Hospital was nice and very professional. My pet has been going to them for over 2 years now. Give them a try and you want be disappointed. I gave 4 out of 5 because I have to schedule an appointments. (LoL). Great hospital. See my baby fresh cut below.

I would most definitely recommend Suffolk Animal Hospital for boarding your pets. Kathy is a God send to us when we have boarded our 2 Silver Labrador’s, especially because one of them has a heart condition and takes medication. I have every faith in her that she goes above and beyond to take of my precious babies. So much so I actually went out of town and we returned back to Suffolk Animal Hospital and used them again. Also very well maintained facility and the cost is very good.

On this particular visit my Bella was only going for a nail trim. Miss Bella gets carsick and she's always nervous when going to the vet. She had an awful accident in the car. Let's just say she left her mark all over me, her (vet) blanket, the pad on the floor and on the car seats. Of course she was a dirty mess 🤦🏾‍♀️ I walked in with gloves on holding my Bella and explained what happened. Everyone was so nice and caring. I can't remember her name but when she took her to the back she made Bella feel so safe and even washed her up for me. We've been going to Suffolk Animal Hospital for years, they took great care of our Chihuahua "Chi-Chi" who crossed the rainbow bridge in 2015. I highly recommend them if you're looking for a vet that provides exceptional service. They treat your pets with care.Signed,Forever Customer

My pets always receive loving care at Suffolk Animal Hospital. Dr. Carr really takes time to explain things. The staff is very nice and always helpful. I have been bringing my pets here for 5 years and I've never had a bad experience. I was unfortunate to have to put down two of my babies here and the staff was so compassionate, sympathetic and thoughtful both times. Thank you Dr. Carr, Dr. Miller and staff for being so great.

It was a great experience for our first time visiting. Our Anointed Pedigree Skittles did a great job being obedient while being examined. Oh and they even called us to see how Skittles was doing a few days after the visit. We just love them!

New customer here. We brought one of our three dogs in for a hot spot and also a heartworm test. If things went well we were going to make this our new vet home for all our pups. Everything at the appointment went ok. We have our pets meds go through 1800 pet meds because they are awesome to work with and reasonably priced. This vet would not call in the prescription, would not email, fax, or mail. They said we had to pick it up at a separate day and time. No worries. Lesson learned we did it and mailed the prescription off. A week and half later we get a call from the vet saying that 1800 petmeds called informing them that the prescription was written for the wrong weight class for our dog. 1800petmeds asked if they could just approve the correct one over the phone and they declined. My husband was out of town so this vet offered to mail the prescription to him but would not just mail it in to the pharmacy trying to fill it and then they retracted the offer to mail it to him when he got frustrated. They required us to pick it up. Mind you, we also paid extra yo pet meds to get the medicine in faster..so money wasted there since this vet is holding everything up out of spite towards a frustrated and new customer whose prescription was mishandled by them. At the end of the day our dogs are alive and fine but consider this... there is ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY FOR MISHANDLING THINGS HERE. We were just fortunate it was a prescription and not a serious health issue for our pups.
