Hey Lowe's is pretty consistent from Coast to Coast as well. One of the things I look for tools that are common and not necessarily that private label brand. In this case a 3M protective sunglasses seem to work really well even if you're just jogging. In addition they work well if you're doing outside work and the Sun and you need the UV protection as well as protection from things that may come off of a nail or as a result of working with the power tool.

Lowes has been swirling down the drain over the past decade because of so many "adjustments " with staffing, products and policies. They've discontinued reliable brands in exchange for cheaper products; although no fault of theirs, major label products have to be returned because of defects or broken, sometimes several times; the delivery service is fast, however, both times what they brought me was wrong so I had to load it up and return to the store making a trip anyway; I'm told online shopping has absolutely nothing to do with the store I chose in the drop-down box that tells me what isle the item is in, that if I have a problem, I must contact online Lowes for resolution which is inconvenient and makes no sense; the quality of lumber has drastically fallen with mold on hacks of knotted/split/splintered/crooked boards; finding an associate to help is like pulling chicken teeth and I can't find any of those annoying call buttons that used to be located in every department....what's up with that?; purchasing something boxed to get home and open only to find someone has replaced a new item with a used, nasty one and sealed the box back undetected. RETURNS should verify what they're handing money back for. I won't even go into the issues with self check out. Still more selection than hardware stores but no where close to the service and personal attention received in those small hardware stores.

I really enjoy this lowes! They have lots of stuff I need but at times can be really busy and maybe understaffed? The lines pile up quick. And I’m pretty sure I saw a guy walk out of the store without paying.

Ms. Kim, she works with home deliveries of appliances, she's not worthy of her position. My appliances were delivered without all of the supporting materials to hook up my washer and dryer that I paid for, wouldn't come to the phone to reset a service appointment. Now, I am stuck waiting for them to reschedule a service appointment. This is "BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE"Store Manager Chorey Brinkley "Did His Job"...He listened and followed up on my complaint and created a winning end. Thanks for the Happy Ending To My Story .

First, let me warn women: get ready to have things mansplained to you if you speak with the manager of the store. Direct quote from the store manager as he talked over me: "let me talk." One franchise represents the entire brand, and after my experience with this location, I will not shop at Lowe's again. After terrible service, I requested a refund and the customer service rep said they couldn't refund the entire amount because she couldn't figure out her own computer system. I had to call Lowe's HQ to get assistance. The HQ representative assured me they would submit a return request to the local franchise and the local store would process it in the morning. Just as I expected, the local store called me in the morning to reschedule a delivery, not to process my refund. I told her she needed to process my refund. She immediately processed it but for over $70 less than what I paid. I predicted all of this while talking with the HQ customer service representative and she assured me it wouldn't happen.It'll be Best Buy and Home Depot for appliances and home improvement from now on.

Every time I need to ask for help I’m inconveniencing an associate or treated rude, I don’t know if it’s just the attitude of the area or people just constantly having a bad day. I find myself driving the extra 25 minutes to Home Depot at Chesapeake square because the service is so much better and the associates are professional.

Her professionalism & knowledge in her department helped me decide on my purchase with clarity and confidence in what I am getting! I had to rent a carpet cleaner and it was my first time at this location. The lady at the customer service desk was soooo sweet and helpful, I just wish I remember her name 😩 But she made sure I was satisfied with my purchase and explained everything to me.

Customer service was ok but not like Home Depot and that why I come here only on occasion. The men’s restroom needs some serious attention because I’ve seen rest stop that look 100 times better then these. Deep clean!!!!

It's pretty well organized, however, very busy, especially on the weekends, so it gets picked over quickly. Also, I'm not a fan of the salesmen greeters they've had there lately. People going to lowes are usually there to get something specific and probably don't want someone trying to sell them a 20-30 thousand dollar gutter cover or solar panels as soon as they walk in the door.

Worst helpers on the planet. I came in to buy a grill. Of course the one I want is on the freaking top shelf. Well there were 3 guys with a lift one isle over that I asked for help. They called some other woman from a different department to “help” me. She came like 10 minutes later…..said she was getting help….I have now waited another 20 minutes and no one has come. Now I have waited over 40 minutes for help with a grill. About to leave & never buy anything from here again. I own a Home improvement business as well & have spent tons of money in this place. I will now always try to buy from anywhere else first!

I love going to lowes, and normally I get really good service. But today I wanted about 15 minutes before deciding to leave after an attendant told me he would be right out side to assist me in purchasing a dog kennel for my baby. Not happy but I will continue to shop there he was one employee and he doesn't get to help me make a choice on where to shop.

Very disappointed in the paint department. I purchased paint about a year ago, stuff happened and the painting did not occur. I am finally going to paint today so I brought it up and ask if they could put it in the shaker to blend it. I got a very rude no. I don’t mind no but I do mind a rude no. All good though, Sherwin Williams up the road shook the paint for me and I bought my rollers tape and tarps from them.

I came to Lowe's today looking for some planting materials, soil, pots, plants etc. RAYNA was very helpful, showing me where to find everything and answering all my questions about how to grow kitchen herbs, with many recommendations on supplies and tips. She clearly knows a lot about gardening, her department and I appreciated her expertise, as I am new to this. I will certainly be returning and enjoyed my experience!

This store is the worst of all that I shop!The folks who work here are friendly enough and mostly helpful. The inventory is adequate if you're building a fence! But when I go in looking for basic plumbing parts, tile supplies, a rubber stopper and basic electrical supplies. I will very often need to spend a half hour to find what I need, IF, and it's a big one, IF they have it! Secondly, the pro side of the parking lot is a disgrace. Debris on the road and trash for months now. This manager needs a checking on. If Lowe's can't find good help, it's because they won't pay a living wage, or at least I'm assuming this must be what's going on! But I'm fed up with it and will be shopping elsewhere!

The customer service at this store is horrible, they actike you are bothering them when you ask for help. Requested the customer service desk to please have an employee come assist in the power tool section. After waiting 25 minutes, I went back to the customer service desk to be informed that everyone was in a meeting. Soooo, customer service is second to servicing your customer's needs. Ask for help in the lawn and garden section, loading some bags of mulch. The young man said ok. I went for a cart, never saw him again. It seems they know they are the only choice we have to shop in downtown Suffolk, and therefore, they could care less about improving customer service. Last but not least, don't waste your money on lawnmower maintenance contracts. Trying to get a service number for maintenance is a joke. 4 weeks it took to get someone to even intervene on my behalf. Buyers, beware, you don't have many other options to shop for these products, so SPEAK UP if you are not receiving quality customer service. You are spending your hard earned money!

Karen was a tremendous help on items in the outdoor furniture area that were on sale but not marked. She called 3 different managers looking for the correct price. Soon an offer was made for the 2 chairs (originally a set of 4) and we were on our way. The chairs are perfect for our motorhome. Thanks Karen!

I came in because I was going to make a larger purchase. They don’t carry the zero turn I wanted and I could not get the military discount online despite Lowes saying you can and my discount being verified on my account. I went in with my kids and went straight to customer service. They told me they could not order the mower. I had the item number the price I just wanted the mower order and the discount applied. They told me it could be ordered because they don’t want to get stuck with it. I told them no problem you offer free shipping had already confirmed that and I want it direct shipped to my home. The women made a call and then said they would not order it. The next day at the Virginia Beach Lowes I tried the same thing. They ordered the mower gave me the discount and I was on my way in 10 minutes. Absolutely effortless and I’m so appreciative of the Virginia Beach Lowes. Suffolk Lowes is lazy and unhelpful. They are totally incapable of doing a good job or providing any level of customer service. This is not the first time they have failed but the largest one and with evidence that what they said and did was a lie.

Stephany @ Customer Service & Returns last Thursday was a rude & despicable employee !!! She got jealous when a handsome & hot military in uniform gentleman spoke to me & it was hell to pay from that moment out !!! She pissed me off so bad to the point I returned all $ 150.00 of merchandise I bought @ the Hampton store & there !!! She loves to listen to herself talk but fails to listen to the customer @ all !!!Debbie was outstanding & Bob is too !!! This one employee Stephany & her repulsive behavior is enough to cost this establishment thousands upon thousands of dollars in one year !!! She will continue to put sales in the red not the black & I refuse to ever have her wait on me again !!!Hope management 86's her or does some retraining classes on her time not theirs of how to speak to a customer !!!She made me go outside & heave my breakfast almost on my sandals when in actuality I should have puked in her face & evil red hair !!!Good luck Lowes of Suffolk on Main Street because this peice of work is gonna cost you big time !!!M.Butler

Customer service is terrible the managers dont know how to their jobs. They talk to employees any type of way I’ve witnessed it they also harass them by any means especially short darkskin lady with red hair latonya and sarah the white woman who calls herself a manager them two should not be running things around there . If you shop here go to Home Depot instead that store poorly ran.Corporate hope you guys do the right thing and hire better leadership to run ya store.

I go here a lot because a family member works here. If you are ever thinking about working at Lowes, don't. They don't care about making sure they have enough coverage and if you happen to get REALLY sick good luck getting anything but an attitude from management.

I took a battery back to exchange. Went to find new one and none on the shelf. I didnt get her name but she saw they had one in stock. She couldn't find but looked until she found it. Then was going to help with weed eater. She kept getting calls to help other customers. Stayed with me until found what I needed.
