It's been a year since we meant Mike at Graystone Farms. He was highly recommended by another gentleman that has a Graystone German Shepherd. We were so impressed when we visited with Mr. Gray. His kennels show his dedication from how well they were kept clean, to how the GS were handled and how he cared for his beautiful dogs. He is always available if you have any questions or concerns.That sold us! A year has passed and we a so happy with our GS named Stitch. We highly recommend Graystone Farms.

Just brought home our first puppy from Graystone, and definitely won’t be our last. One of the most amazing breeders and people we have ever experienced. The care and love they put into there dogs is truly incredible. If you’re looking for the best of the best of German Shepards this is it. We have not one, not two, but THREE Graystone pups. Brought the first one home in June of 2018, and the second in June of 2019, and adopted the third from Mike in 2023. First one from the old facility, the second and third from the new. We have had had many doggy social visits with both Mikes (senior and Junior), as well as other Graystone owners since (Mike has family reunions for all his pups and for anyone else who wants to attend.)BOTH facilities were top notch in cleanliness. BOTH facilities had conditioned air birthing kennels. BOTH facilities had numerous, well cared for and socially well adjusted adult dogs you could visit with. ALL dogs received extensive socialization,vas well as exposure to common noise elements etc. Both of our dogs are perfectly comfortable around fireworks, firearms, thunder, etc.We have been in ten or eleven dog classes with our pups now, and I can tell you that THERE IS A DIFFERENCE between these dogs and 90% of the others we've seen in class. They are extremely well behaved and take to training as easily as they do to food.Two plus years later, whenever our older dog hears Mikes' voice in a video, or on speakerphone, he instantly stops and pays attention. TWO YEARS later. He does this with nobody elses voice. The Mikes STILL know the color of each of our dogs collars when they were puppies there. We cannot take our dogs anywhere without getting complimented.You simply CANNOT do better than a Graystone Farms dog. I will happily respond to any questions at any time.

Graystone Farms is a top-notch breeding facility with the most excellent, high quality dogs. We got our puppy in June and could not be more impressed with her beauty, intelligence, and temperament. Furthermore, Mike and Mike Jr. are incredibly supportive, and go above and beyond answering questions, giving advice, etc. They also stay connected with their puppy owners, and love to see pictures/videos of the pups (their babies/children, as Mike calls them) growing and thriving in their new homes. The work they put into maintaining a beautiful facility, their amazing dogs, and development of their puppies is nothing short of amazing. I HIGHLY recommend Graystone Farms if you are looking for a German Shepherd Dog in the Virginia area! We will even be getting a second puppy from them in the next couple months!

I have owned a pair of German Shepherds for years. Unfortunately, my big beautiful male passed at 11 years old last fall, leaving his sister alone for the first time. We were finally ready to purchase another German Shepherd when she turned 12 this year. We searched several kennels, when we came across Graystone Farms. We had visited each kennel and none compared to Graystone Farms. We knew we found our next forever baby boy when Michael listened to our wants and needs about a new pup. He kept a close eye on the pups and helped us pick out the pup that would best fit out family dynamic. I cannot say enough about Michael and his son, they are both very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions ~ even if it's 6 months later. Our boy is now 6 months and we cannot be happier with the disposition of this pup. He is smart, willing to work and easy to train. If I ever decide I want to purchase another German Shepherd, there is no hesitation, I will be asking Michael which pup he thinks would suit our family the best. I lost my boy (GSD)Chase in December ‘19. I had a friend who found Mike Gray. I went along with my friend to get her puppy from Mike. Who wouldn’t want to spend an afternoon playing with GSD puppies. Little did I know Mike was watching me interact with the puppies. He told that day I was cleared to get puppy when I was ready. So after some time I reached back out to Mike that we were ready for a puppy. He really takes the time to know what you are looking for in your pup. He had his eye one two males for us. Around 4 & 1/2 weeks he decided that the one male was a better fit for me and boy was he right. I trusted him on his pick. Shoto was my 5th GSD and by far the most incredible GSD I’ve ever owned. The bond I share with this boy is incredible. It’s a bond like no other. He is a gentle giant. Mike does so much work with these puppies. They are well rounded, well-adjusted, with great temperaments. He puts his heart and Soul into these dogs. We then got a second female puppy in September and again Mike nailed with picking us another amazing puppy. Mike is so knowledgeable about this breed and so passionate about them. He’s always just a phone call, email or a message away. If you ever have any problems or questions just give him a call he’ll be happy to talk to you. I highly recommend going there for a visit if you’re going to get a puppy from Mike it’s a great way to see what a nice kennel he has, and it also helps him to help even more to choose the right puppy for you and your family. Can’t say enough wonderful things about Graystone Farms GSD’s. I won’t go anywhere else for another German Shepherd puppy.Update: I now have 2 more Graystone pups since first writing this review. I can’t not tell how much loving and caring go into every single one of Mike’s dogs and pups! Again Mike did an amazing job matching me with exactly the right pups for my lifestyle!!! I get compliments all the time on how wonderful my dogs are, and how wonderful their temperaments are! I can’t say enough wonderful things about Mike and Graystone Farms. I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Mike is a very reputable breeder who has dogs all over the country. Who always tells you he will always take back his dogs for any reason. That is one of the many things you want to look for in a reputable breeder. There are so many out there who or not so beware and be careful. It happened to me along time ago.

The facilities and breeding lines are the BEST I have ever seen. Mike and company have a knack for matching you with exactly your hearts desire. Sophie is the calmest most steady dog I have ever known and they ensure that is what you start with. They are also ALWAYS there to support.

I cannot say enough good things about Graystone. Mike is encyclopedic when it comes to the breed, the dogs are well taken care of, and well selected. Anyway enough about Mike he's nice and all but not as fun to pet as Bo. The proof is in the kennel, when I met Bo i saw the calm demeanor and easy going nature i was looking for. Bo didn't react to stuff i was doing and that's what i was looking for. Bo's default setting is "Off". That's not to say he doesn't have an "On" button but i wasn't willing to risk getting bit when I shoved mike. :) Kidding... sort of. Anyway temperament aside they are also beautiful dogs in size, stature, and color. Riggs is 11 months old and still growing but he is tall slender and has a brochure quality stance. Just a beautiful companion in every sense of the word.

We were so blessed to find Mike and the Graystone Family! We absolutely LOVE our Graystone German Shepard. His dogs are extremely well cared for, healthy, beautiful, and everything you could hope for. We got a female puppy last summer and she has completed our family in every way. We have 2 young children and our pups temperament is absolutely perfect. Mike and family are very helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and available to answer questions and give advice. I haven't seen a single person complain or be unhappy about owning a Graystone dog. Mike and family take a lot of pride in their work and give a lot of LOVE to each dog and it truly shows. The most passionate and caring breeder we have ever known. Worked with us from the time that we were just researching for what breeder we wanted to this very day and every day for the entirety of our dogs life and hopefully beyond as friends. I just wanted to share that if you are looking to have a German Shepherd as part of your family, please go see Mike and Jr for your new addition. Not only did I see how well the facility was, but both Mike and Jr were so knowledgeable about the GSD! They also care so much about every puppy that finds a home that Mike and Jr want to make sure that the puppies are taken care of by their future owners. I can't speak highly enough about Mike and Mike Jr.! The love and care they put into both their adult dogs and each litter goes above and beyond any other breeder I've experienced. Our pup from them is almost 4 months old and he is so calm & eager to train and learn - all of that is a testament to Graystone's quality and care and knowledge of both the German Shepherd and the breeding. We found Graystone Farms online and were completely drawn in. I called Mike on the phone and because of our conversation, I knew this was the place. We were welcomed anytime and were so impressed. I am so thankful for the amazing DOGS I have been blessed with through Graystone Farms! I have two males and a female GSD from Mike- not only are the dogs incredibly beautiful, but they come to you from the farm socialized, with great bloodlines, and amazing temperament. Our family wanted a GSD but after talking to many breeders, I was not impressed. Once we found Mike at Graystone, he invited us to his property, explained his whelping, birthing, and homing processes and then showed us all his dogs! He takes great care of all his dogs, dams, sires, and puppies alike, and makes himself available for any questions and advice you may have, before, during and after bringing home a puppy!
