Good selection, not many shoppers in store and only one or two without mask. Staff sometimes goes and removes mask.Prices are good, better than others and for their size selection is good.Would be okay to introduce some self checkout. Many stores have this feature and customers enjoy it.

Great customer service! Features like the Chicken Wing Bar offers a variety of wings at a great price. The aisles are slightly wider than before the remodel for easier navigation. Customer service is great.Update: 7/27/22: Activities in the store are close to being back to normal (pre pandemic).Update: 9/29/22: Even though the remnants of Hurricane Ian could very well be bearing down on the area, this Food Lion is very well stocked. Although the bread aisle had been nearly cleaned out a manager did confirm another bread truck was on their way to restock. Amazing customer service, too.

Food lion is always the go-to grocery store for us, this one in particular. It is always exceptionally clean and very well organized with outstanding customer service. Would drive an extra ten minutes if need be, just to go here.

I shop here often with my wife. I feel the employee's are always friendly and respectful. The only thing I would ask is that the employee's that smoke be ask to do so at the back of the building. I smoked for most of my life but I did not subject others to the smell or second hand dangers.. at the very least, they should be conscience of which way the wind is blowing and stand in the down wind side so we do not have to go through a gauntlet of smoke to spend money in Food Lion. Thank you.

Lines are always clear and get out fast. The store design is cluttered and makes it difficult for disabled people to get around. Update, still too cluttered coming in and low on products. I'm sure the out of stock is probably contributed to CovId buy the service is still spot on

Clean store, good variety of items, but often difficult to find the sale items when it's "selected varieties only". Put several items back today... I also find it highly frustrating that discounts don't show until everything has been scanned and you're ready to pay. Likely to spend my money elsewhere next time.

This Food Lion is the one closest to home. I go there often. Usually it is well stocked and clean. Most of thr workers are generally friendly. Overall, a good experience.

A hidden gem of grocery stores, even among just Food Lion stores in general. First off, let me tell you that I never have had less than kind service from any member of this store's staff. I can't thank you enough for consistently providing smiles as well as helpful service. The store is always clean and well stocked.

Food Lion has well stocked shelves and a good selection with polite personnel. And they haven't remodeled like that other store so when you go in you know where everything is and you can get it quickly and get out. That's a plus during the pandemic. Or when you're just in a hurry.

Worst store in Suffolk. They never have anything in stock. If you need to drive to a grocery store and won't get disappointed because they don't have what you wanted, then take my advice and try elsewhere before you go here. What grocery store runs out of buscuits????? I did wanted to give this star but, it wouldn't let me post

Went in to buy groceries and the corporate never thought to communicate with the stores about a nationwide outage. This means we couldn't use any debit or credit cards if no sort. So I had a basket full of groceries and they had to put back do to the lack of communication. The store manager was late coming in and they had no idea where he was. Other then that the food prices are good and the store is convenient.

Very poor service the stock boys get an attitude if you ask where something is and I don't appreciate having having some black guy screaming and talking extremely loud and make jokes to the costumers (HE) .DOUNT NEED TO WORK AROUND PLUBIC ! I was greeted by an associate name Peaches.Well what a gem. She made a already good shopping trip a great one. I had already found some things at a price so good I had to call back home about(Phila).And then she was there informing me of the delivery service and the store discount card. I will be going back again.

Love the store. Used their curbside pickup for the first time which was terrific until I got an email reprimanding me about the tip I gave. The email told me to review my order and see how much they did for me and consider increasing my tip next time. I tipped 5%, which was actually all the cash I had.When I received the email I figured I must have missed something - I didn't. I reviewed the policy and sure enough it states this service is available for $1.99 with a guarantee of no other charges and no mention of tipping for curbside service. I tipped because I thought it would be appreciated, apparently not.Being familiar with Walmart service they address it up front and tell you employees don't accept tips. Kroger's policy states tips not necessary but appreciated. Giant has a no tip policy. I have shared this information with Food Lion and feel they need to address this by updating their policy.I'm not really sure what the appropriate tip is for this service. Once I started researching it suggestions range from a minimum of $2.00 with suggestions of 5% to 20%. My mistake was thinking that Food Lion was compensating their employees for the additional duties and apparently that is not the case. Why else would an employee send an email reprimanding a customer to give them more money? Hope sharing this experience will save others from being blindsided. Great service but could be really costly in the long run.Personally I'll be using Kroger and Walmart if I need curbside again until Food Lion clarifies the policy for customers and employees alike.

I have been in the Suffolk Area for over 20 years now and have frequented Food Lion #1559 as my go to store. The Manager Stacey is a true Blessing to be around and the Staff are always upbeat and friendly. I am writing this review today because I experienced what a true Professional team of employees are supposed to model. On Tuesday 2/23/21, I witnessed Bryanna and I believe the other was (she goes by Miss Peaches) along with a third employee ( although I didn't get his name) as I was driving into the entrance as they were retrieving a Disabled customers mobile chair that had inadvertently fallen off his car about 50 yards away. The customer had no way to do this by himself and was stranded due to his disability; The Associates took the time out and personally made sure it was ok and brought it back. This ARK (Act of Random Kindness) is hard to see these days due to the situation we have fallen in. It not only shows the Company who they are on the outside but It also shows the kind heart they have on the inside. I commend these Associates and the store itself. This is a great Food Lion to go to not too big not too small the produce was fresh encap restock everyday damaged by fire with a best anywhere around fresh meat fresh chicken anything that I wanted to find I'm household items to food to a great deli Nick carries Boar's Head and fresh Jesus the people in the deli we're very friendly and very informative of all items they also carry great items for party platters or birthday cakes they have ready-made sandwiches Cheese's Potters everything from coleslaw to potato salad very fresh and readily available great shopping experience

I shop here regularly it is always stocked! This is is my favorite Food Lion I never wait in line. The meat department is great! And the produce always looks fresh!

Horrible customer service. The older man at the custody service desk is truly incompetent and lacks of any logical sense. Stood at the customer service desk to be assisted for over 10 minutes waiting...He was ringing other customers. He kept looking up my way. Never bothered to ask if I needed help or alerted someone to assist me. After 10 minutes I approached him and he said "I'm ringing ppl at the grocery line and when I'm done I'll help you". Meanwhile a steady stream of customers pouring in his line. So I asked just when would that be? Because I've stood there and waited to be helped while watching ppl come in your lane and you never came to assist me. He replied: "There's another food lion not too far from here." I said nothing. Clearly customer service is not something taught to the employees at this place. Why pay someone to treat you so rude. Do not shop at this place. To quote that employee: There are other Food Kion around".

- Good selection- Overpriced (compared to Walmart)- Employees do NOT automatically apply the "double money back guarantee," unless customer's request it... since that is the policy on specific items, that policy should be followed and honored at all times.
