Mostly a pleasant experience; it can get pretty busy at this location, and the pharmacy seems to be understaffed, but overall a decent experience.

Last week Pharmacist Amelie Gale came in EARLY to have my prescription ready for me when I needed to pick it up right when they opened. What a lovely woman.I have had such difficulty with this pharmacy for 3 years. This is is first time in a LONG time that there was not a problem with my prescription. I hope that the talk I had with the pharmacist regarding a “certain male pharmacy tech with an attitude” paid off. He is rude and messes up prescriptions constantly. I can’t stand to watch how he treats customers.

Previously the pharmacy staff has been less than helpful, not wanting to do the work to transfer a Rx to their location. We decided to go somewhere else. I had to call again today and they were more helpful than before. I am hopeful that they continue to improve.

Horrible, horrible customer service. The one star I gave them was being generous. They put a rush on our prescriptions as my husband had just gotten out of the hospital! it took them 4 hours to fill them. I hate to think how long it takes for non-expedited prescriptions. I tried several times to call to ask the status and was cut off each time. I then had to drive there and leave my mobility challenged spouse alone. They could not understand why I was irate at this point. I was told they would try and fill the prescriptions before they closed. Upon hearing this, my temper meter went off the charts. I told them I was not leaving the store without those prescriptions! Fortunately, they filled them 1/2 hour before the store was to close. We are switching to a different pharmacy!!!!!

The pharmacy is just so bad. U wait on hold on the phone to see if prescription is even ready before u go to the store. Nobody picks up the phone ever. U go to the store to wait in a huge line- then you’re told that the prescription is STILL not ready (it was called in 10 HOURS earlier- a common antibiotic). The drive thru window hasn’t been working. What a mess. Considering transferring, even for how close this CVS is to my home. It’s that bad. Don’t waste your time. I feel bad if they’re understaffed, but things just are not working on the customer service end…

Extremely rude on phone after pharmacy made error in filling wrong medication. Would not take responsibility for the error or money that was paid for the wrong medication. Always long wait at drive through. Very frustrating and horrible customer service. Unfortunately this is the local pharmacy covered under insurance, otherwise I would most definitely go elsewhere for my elderly father’s medication.

The pharmacy receptionist/ cashier has terrible customer service. No greetings, no smile, no communication.....literally opened the window & looked at me like "WHAT"......I can't wait to relocate! I dread having to go to the pharmacy & it's so unfortunate because CVS is literally 5mins. from me. However, the rest of the actual pharmacy techs are great!

Witnessing the hecticness of this location and the amount of calls, questions, problems, trying to fill Rxs etc etc it wore me out watching them. It must be very difficult to keep a good attitude the whole time when you are under this much pressure EVERY DAY. The Mendoza pharmacist there seems really nice and always has a great attitiude. The drive-thru could use a little work on their dealings with people, but I try to give everyone a break, because I have often been impatient and sounded rude when dealing with people on the phone all day that are giving me a hard time. Yes, we would like to see another pharmacy in the area of some sort, so this one wasn't so crowded and overworked. i.e. there is Martin's, Wal Mart, Costco but these are not drive thru.

Please read the full review.There's only 3 people working in the pharmacy area (and even if 3 people tried their hardest, (which I'm really not sure if they are or not, I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt since they might really be trying their best), there's only but do much that they can do while they have to deal with hundreds of customers)… how & why is this location still open? When will y'all hire more employees (who're well qualified) to help this location out more? At this rate, it might be better to consider shutting down… Honestly, not the best customer service at all… and awful wait times too! I've had issues with my meds & refills- like when they claim it's too soon to refill (even though I take them as directed)…so someone must've miscounted the quantity. I can text or use their site or app to request refills- but most of the time, they just never check those things since they claim that it's too soon or that they've never gotten the request… (CVS, what's the point of having these things if nobody checks, or if they say 1 thing but the store pharmacist says another? Is anyone even communicating or with each other when it comes to this location, & the text/email/site/app people? Is anyone properly updating anything?)Lantz's Pharmacy & Gift Shop is looking REALLY good & I'm seriously considering making them my pharmacy, plus if you're the kind of person who'd rather talk to a real person with every call, then it's a safer perk! (It's been pondered over for a while now, & with all the trouble with this CVS that I've always had (and it really seems to stay consistently bad, if not getting worser & worser)

If you use this pharmacy to fill your prescription you are taking your life in your hands. I will be using different pharmacy from here on out. As a healthcare worker I am begging you to do the same. This pharmacy is displaying complete gross negligence and incompetence. They cannot fill medications in a timely manner, they have incorrectly filled my medications several times and have even given me the wrong medication on 2 separate occasions. Their store manager does not care at all, most likely because she has no clue. I have dealt with her on two occasion and both times caught her in lies. Please I beg of you for your and your family's health and safety go somewhere else.

The pharmacy is horrible. There is always a wait and I have stood in line for 20 minutes and no one will acknowledge me or anyone else. The prescription is never ready and they always say it will be an hour or more before it is filled. They either need more people or better trained ones. Or both.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The pharmacy is unprofessional they will tell me my dr hasn't sent scripts in when they have. And magically when I go up there they have it. Then when they tell me they will fill my script in a hour I will go at the end of the day it's not ready and have to wait 1 or maybe 2 days. They messed my information up in the system for insurance. This is the worst cvs ever! I'd rather drive to Florida every month just so I don't have to deal with these ppl.

I do not trust this CVS to be safe. The person waiting on me at the drive thru made me wait when not another single person was around. The employee did not use the drawer and instead threw open the glass partition with force to wait on me, taking off her mask and letting it hang around her neck, she leaned closer in towards my car to make the exchange of cash for rx..even after asking this employee to please use the drawer, she refused stating that it didn't work correctly, then showing how it worked I could see it worked just fine. Not sure what is going on there, but this person totally disregarded my requests and any protocols for safety. I will be changing pharmacies.

The store in general is fine. My rating is low because of the pharmacy. Some of the employees in the pharmacy are wonderful, the ones I have a problem with are the pharmacistscrips aren't ready when they are supposed to be. They fill them incorrectly. This is the first CVS that I have ever had a problem with. Ready to transfer to Walgreens or Walmart.

The pharmacy is AWFUL. I could never imagine treating patients the way they do. No regard for their time and customer service does not exist to them. I understand they may be short staffed but I have WATCHED them completely disregard people. I have sat in the drive thru miserably ill just trying to get my medication for over an hour. And this is after they sent me home earlier in the day saying they couldn’t fill it then and I would need to come back. It was amoxicillin. Just terrible. Go elsewhere

My experience on Sunday, January 15th was fabulous. I had just purchased alot of product and had mentioned to the cashier that I was disappointed that they didn't have the particular item that I wanted. She actually went and found it. I call that great customer service. Her name is Brenda.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Horrible wait times and horrible customer service. Also, theres NO respect for the other employees. If you feel the need to be belittle an employee, you don't do it on the floor for ALL the customers to see and hear it!! Total disrespect and lack of professionalism from the pharmacist that came from Ranson to fill in on 8.17.21. Very rude to customers calling in as well. Had an 11am apt for shot and never got it till 11:45. I will never come back here!

Recently moved to the area. We moved from South Riding area. We previously used CVS and had problem after problem with them. On several occasions we were dispensed the wrong amount or even the wrong medicine! One of the times was when I was pregnant with twins! We moved out here and the Stephens City CVS is two seconds from our new house. Decided to use them. It couldn’t be bad again?? Right?! WRONG!!! I just left there and again, dispensed the wrong amount! The lady that took my prescription was the same lady that checked me out. Thank goodness she caught it! She told the pharmacist that filled it (I was standing there and could hear the whole conversation). The pharmacist said yes she did it cause she thought the doctor was incorrect. No stupid lady-your incorrect! I’m done and will now never go back. Walgreens is not to far from me. Hello Walgreens, goodbye CVS

The pharmacy customer service, prescription fill time, wait time is unacceptable. Either they are short staffed or simply not interested in improving customer satisfaction. Pharmacy orders not filled after provider confirmation.

Too many problems lately. Poor communication and not proactive in resolving customer issues. Will be transferring my prescriptions elsewhere. The two stars I gave were for the store itself because the front cashiers are always warm and friendly. Just the pharmacy sucks.

Always have a issue with the pharmacy. They always enter my one prescription incorrect which means I can never get it refilled when I need it. I get so frustrated because they never want to listen and all I get is nothing I can do about it. I am NOT trying to get a controlled substance so I don't understand why I am treat as if I am.****UPDATE*****Kathy the store manger is amazing. She while heartedly apologize for all I had to go through. After speaking to her today and being assured this would never happen again... I feel so much better and will give them another chance.

This review is based on the pharmacy alone. I dropped off a prescription on 2-15-18 and was told if I came in the store the wait would only be 20 mins. I told the lady at the window that I had pneumonia and did not want to come inside but I would wait in the parking lot. She said that was fine. I waited in the parking lot for 25 mins, then I go back thru the drive thru. The man said it was not ready it would be another 30-45 mins and I told him that it was supposed to be ready 5 mins ago. He said it was wrote down for pick up tomorrow at 2pm. I was super mad. I am very sick and already had to run to different pharmacies to pick up my other prescriptions because they were cheaper elsewhere. I pointed to the lady that told me to wait in the parking lot for 20 mins and told the man to tell the women thanks alot. I just wasted completely unnecessary time. I decided to just come home I was feeling to bad to be driving. The 7/8 mins it took me to get home, I no sooner got inside my house and I get a text the my prescription is ready. I call the pharmacy, wait for 10+ mins for someone to answer the phone to tell me that is indeed ready. The girl told me she had it ready when I pulled off from the drive thru window! Really seriously I am so so frustrated. Hopefully i will feel well enough to drive back out there before they close.

The new person at the pharmacy, "Chip," should be called "Chip-on-my-shoulder." He's ranks near the top of the list of rude customer service representatives. The other pharmacy techs have been responsive and courteous. However, the last time we needed a refill, they were out and couldn't fill for 5 days. They were also unable to check other CVS stores in the area to check the supply.

Normally everything is fine, but today they accepted a semi urgent prescription for my infant. When I got there they claimed they didn't have it, after accepting the prescription from the doctor AND calling us to say that it was ready. The hours listed here are incorrect for Saturday.Oh, and they said my daughter isn't on my insurance when she is...

Horrible. Was the day prior and then again yesterday. They could not find my prescription. It was total chaos in the place. Prescription bags laying everywhere. I was in line for over 45 minutes and they could not find my prescription. Will never go back.. Each time I go, it is a negative experience.

I live in Winchester. My son in Stephens city , he had a dentist appointment in Stephens city , which I took him to then to CVS for his RX . It was 3:05 pm I took the RX in. Pharmacy said it’ll be ready at 6:30. I said I was going to wait for it I don’t live here and need to get home . He yells at me , I SAID ITLL BE READY AT 6:30 ... mins you there is no one else in the store except 2 ladies shopping around .. so I said give it back I’ll go somewhere else .. I proceeded to Walgreens, where there was 6-7 shoppers and left with the RX within 15 minutes.. never again cvs is getting awful

Never staffed, offer no solutions, and cancel appointments scheduled week in advanced 20min prior to appointment. Every time we go to get prescriptions, they constantly misplace the order.

Great service ! The store manager. was extremely helpful providing excellent service above and beyond.I couldn't be happier with her attention to my needs. She listened to me and provided alternative choices for me that I hadn't thought of.Thanks Kathy ( I think that was her name)for your input. I will be shopping this store for all my needs. I truly felt valued as a customer ..
