The Shenandoah Valley Battlefields Foundation booked the Ivy Cabin for the two VMI Cadets that completed an 86-mile march from Lexington to New Market.Dana was wonderful to work with from making the reservation, communicating details so the cadets could check in late, ensuring they were warmly welcomed, and supporting their effort in a special way! The two cadets were enthralled with their stay and very appreciative of the accommodations to ensure they could shower, eat, and get a good night's rest before their next day. Both marchers said they were taking notes in anticipation of recommending to friends and family. They also said it would be a great romantic getaway option and wished they weren't crashing for one night between long days marching.Whether planning a relaxing or special weekend for personal reasons or you're seeking to offer VIP treatment on the business side, Steeles Tavern Manor gracefully adapts!Thank you to the stellar team at Steeles Tavern Manor for a wonderful stay!

We just returned from a great 20th anniversary trip. Dana and Trey are outstanding hosts. From local information on things to do and history, they are on top of their game. The property and house are stunning. The grounds are gorgeous too. The rooms were very nicely decorated and comfortable. The massages were just what we needed to help relax even more. Looking forward to returning and trying one of the cabins next time. Thank you for a great trip.Rooms: Very clean and comfortable. Nicely decorated.Food & drinks: Dana is a great chef. The breakfasts were fantastic.

This place is amazing! My partner and I stayed in the Ivy Cabin for our anniversary and it was wonderful. When you first drive on to the property, you will be greeted by some adorable cows - they came right up to our car to say hi. The gravel road up to our cabin was a little steep, but we had no problems getting up there and the views from the front of the cabin were amazing. Once you enter your cabin, you’ll find a personalized welcome note, some chocolates, updated hot tub servicing check, and very simple stay instructions. The hot tub was on the deck at the back of the cabin and felt secluded, private, and very relaxing. The cabin was cozy, comfortable, and extremely clean. Also we definitely recommend getting massage treatments! Dana and Lydia did an excellent job. We’re a queer and mixed race couple and we felt completely welcomed and comfortable during the experience. They were also careful to make sure we were physically comfortable and gently treated any sore or sensitive areas. We cannot wait to stay here again!

We came here for our elopement in Shenandoah and stayed the weekend after. It was so perfect!! We stayed in the sunset cabin and took some pictures there before heading to the lookout that we eloped at. The cabin was so sweet and the hot tub is a nice touch. Perfect for two! We got the couples massage as well and couldn’t speak more highly of it. There is plenty of hiking nearby and not too far from larger towns. We will ABSOLUTELY be coming back!

Steeles Tavern Manor is everything they claim to be on their website and so much more. Trey and Dana are incredibly hospitable hosts with a knack for making you feel like family. We stayed in the Mountain View Cabin and the view was SPECTACULAR. They thought of every little detail possible to make your stay perfect (binoculars for bird watching, towels to clean shoes after muddy hikes, towel warmer in the bathroom, on and on). My husband and I wanted for nothing and enjoyed everything provided. Coffee in the morning on the deck as you watch cows and deer graze is a breathtaking experience. We took advantage of a couples massage which did not disappoint. My husband wanted deep pressure while I liked light pressure and we both walked aways satisfied and relaxed. We also did the bourbon tasting and Trey was knowledgeable and made the entire hour plus fun and memorable. I can't wait to visit again!

Exceptional in all respects! The passion and exuberance for the bed and breakfast itself and customer experience are clearly evident. Attention to detail is everywhere, welcome, decorating, creative gourmet breakfast with the freshest of quality ingredients, room comforts, cleanliness, friendly interactions with guests, the grounds, they have thought of it all. We have stayed at many bed and breakfasts, and this is definitely a standout. This couple has built and are now sharing a very special bed and breakfast experience with their guests. We loved our stay!

This Bed and breakfast was firstly nice warm upon entering from a long day of driving and hiking the Shenandoah mountain. Before we got there they had called me up for any further preparation for me and my wife's anniversary. Amazing bourbon showing, and the food was made from scratch and definitely the best you will get out side the area. Will come back for sure

We love STM! This is our second time celebrating our anniversary in sunset cabin . This year makes 23 years married! Dana & Trey both make your stay unforgettable. They help you with booking, accommodation, recommendations for things to do. On our trip this year it snowed and Dana had to let us know our massage appointment was not able to happen to plan but she could still make it work just not at the same time. We woke up and Trey had plowed the lanes, and shoveled around our car to make it easier for us to load our car up. I found this cozy cabin in the woods over a year ago. We plan to make this a tradition for us . Trey & Dana are always doing projects to improve or update things to each rental be the bed & breakfast or cabins. This year our cabin had a new floor, and new hot tub upgrade. ❤️ Trey does amazing wood working and sealed some of his work. Can’t forget the animal life from cows, birds, deer & more. Thank you for making our trip memorable again.Rooms: Love the cabins they are rustic feeling, treetop look nice and modern , bed & breakfast rooms also have the coziness feeling to it! Can’t go wrong with any of the 10 rooms to book.Nearby activities: Smiley bbq was great and they had a band, rockbridge winery is great! So much to do but we really like just getting away and reconnecting with one another. So with winds and snow we enjoyed our cabin more!Safety: Trey makes sure that all guests can enter and exit safely to all the properties on grounds.

Beautiful bed and breakfast on a gorgeous property, with a lovely comfy room, and served a delicious breakfast. Every detail felt so thoughtful and filled with care. Loved getting to chat with the owners, who gave us great advice on the best places for hikes and delicious bakeries in nearby Lexington. My partner and I enjoyed reading and playing games in the cozy living room space. We wish we could have spent more time there and definitely hope to be back.

Steeles Tavern Manor was a wonderful place, hosted by 2 of the nicest folks we’ve met! The setting the gorgeous, the location is very convenient to hikes and activities, and the breakfast that Dana cooks was beyond delicious. We are excited to come back in the summer when the foliage is blooming, the pool is open, and cocktail hour on the deck beckons.

Steeles Tavern Manor is a gem….because of the great hosts Dana and Trey. They are kind and interested, and so attentive to the details. We loved the room, and Dana’s breakfasts were delicious and special. We also loved the location….an easy drive to Staunton and Lexington (where we enjoyed excellent dinners) and great hiking trails. We have been recommending The Manor to our friends and family, and we definitely hope to return.

We had the most restful weekend getaway at Mountain View Cabin! The view was expansive, deep, and gorgeous even though it's (still) winter. We had many lovely moments sitting in the rocking chairs on the deck admiring the view, and a wonderful evening stargazing in the hot tub. The animal friends around our cabin (cows, deers, and a turkey!) were lovely company. We came here to celebrate our 4-year anniversary. Dana & Trey were welcoming and thorough with every detail in the cabin. We felt absolutely pampered! We also had a lovely drive & hike at Crabtree Falls, with Trey's recommendations & directions. For fellow vegans: we brought our own prepped ingredients for meals, but also got a lunch at Taste of India in Staunton (they mark vegan items).Would love to come visit again!!

Hands-down, our best stay at a bed-and-breakfast ever! Trey and Dana are exceptional innkeepers, and took care of all of our needs from the moment we arrive to the time we checked out. The house is beautiful, comfortable and the room is well appointed. Breakfast was amazing each morning! There’s so much to do in the area like hiking, wine tastings and exploring the downtown Staunton area. Dana also took care of packing a great picnic lunch for us that we enjoyed next to a pond nearby. We are definitely looking forward to our next stay in the future!

My wife and I were burned out on wedding planning and the emotions of the big day, and wanted a relaxing, nature-oriented honeymoon. She hasn't been to Shenandoah yet and I went camping there a year ago. We wanted to see the beautiful area without tent-camping it, so we looked for B&Bs in the area. Steeles Tavern Manor was highly rated, deservedly so, so we booked -- and we couldn't have been happier.Right away upon arrival, the Manor was well-lit, beautiful, and easy to navigate. We entered the door and were greeted by Dana who gave us a warm welcome and quick tour. The cleanliness and beauty of the Manor were easy to see, and the Ring/lock system on the doors made us feel quickly at ease.I find myself sensitive to energies of new places, and have a hard time sleeping if things seem off. However, staying at the Manor quickly put my mind at rest, and I slept soundly and securely through each of the three nights we stayed. The rooms were clean, Smart TVs were nice, complimentary cookies and robes were a delightful touch. The breakfasts each morning were delicious and full of whole foods from local areas. Trey's espresso-making skills were a welcome treat at the end of the breakfasts. We booked a couples massage that was my first, and my wife's best she's had. You could tell beyond it being a professional service, the masseuses' really wanted their client to feel relaxed and blissful. Very much recommend the essential oils too. Also, Trey's Bourbon tasting experience was fun, delicious, and fascinating to any connoisseur. His knowledge is deep and he teaches you how to properly drink Bourbon, and what notes and scents to look for. I don't think I'll ever drink a glass of Bourbon the same -- and for good reason.Overall, can't recommend this place enough. Clean, secure, polite and gracious hosts, incredible food, wonderful add-ons, and peaceful experience. If we ever are back in the area, this will for sure be on our radar.- Tyler and Naomi Brandt (11/11/23)

My wife and I had a lovely extended weekend in the "Mountain View" Cabin at the Steeles Tavern Manor. The cabin was extraordinarily clean and had everything we needed for a wonderfully relaxing getaway.Special shoutout to the heated floor & heated towel bar in the bathroom for making the colder mornings easier.Dana and Trey were wonderful innkeepers, and made sure our stay was as relaxing and pleasant as could be. I am already thinking about when I can get down there again for another long weekend.Nearby activities: Hiking at Crabtree Falls was only 30 minutes awayFood & drinks: Wonderful food and drink in Staunton, and we added a few packages to our room including local breakfast and an amazing steak dinner. The celebration cake was also top notch
